Honestly I prefer the Motorhelix. I like "playing" with my models, so the extra functionality and detail is something I can really appreciate

MotorHelix all the way!! I like the weighty feeling of diecast, all those extra details and opening parts, and rolling wheels. For me it's a no brainer

For me motorhelix because everything can open.

Motorhelix is indeed my poison if I continue to buy their models I’ll be bankrupt in no time 🤣🤣 those models are 🔥🔥🔥

The resin IG model looks better but motorhelix has moving parts. and under the hood and bottom details. i like them both.

I prefer motorhelix one but the door line in the middle you can see it just stop at the quarter panel which is really bothering me lol….

I mainly prefer Diecast . I only get resin if its a car no diecast brand makes or if its a car i like. I had a bad experience getting a 1/43 gallardo second hand . The windshield was warped and popping out.

Which is the main reason why resins exist. To make obscure combinations that diecast will not put into production.

You should have grabbed the wheel and turned it to see if it controls the wheels!

No 18 scale car model which doesnt have opening parts with high details deserves anything more than 200 dollars. Its just loot.

Everyone has a preference. If such thing wasn't sought after or in demand at all, they wouldn't be in business for the past 7+ years

@@modelcarshouston yes, they do make good margins for the sellers. Nothing against that bro. But that seems to be the bigger reason for their push. Offcourse anyone who wants to buy them can, no judgement.

Resin models are lighter in weight and has much more aesthetic compared to diecast but they lack functionality. Still i like both.

personally, i prefer diecast model compared to resin..one major turn off for resin model are the windscreen, windows are made off thin pvc plastic sheet instead hard plastic shell for diecast model..but i do have resin model, but not gonna buy if it cost more than 120usd..😅

@@modelcarshouston you lucky! me and my friends got the Evo 6 TME in red and white, Tsuchiya ae86 together. both of our models got pop out windows after years. Same case with some of the Otto models. Since then we stopped collecting resins and switched to autoart and motorhelix. Still, we cant deny the resins just simply display better.

The resin models are nothing but white liquid Poured into a mode not worth the money. 150 dollars at the most

    • @modelcarshouston

There's a bit more to resin models than the manufacturing process.

I'll take resin over diecast every time. You lose the full open but you gain in every other possible way.
