Is this the Brick works at Gisleham, Suffolk, if so i belongs to my family, and was in use in the 1930s, was mainly used to make bricks that were to be used in the building of most of Lowestoft Easey Brothers Builders to be precise, my Great Great Grandfathers firm, their Main workshop on Irex Rd in Pakefield.
This place was a fantastic bit of history and to have it still standing is lovely to see we hope it don't get vandalised tho... We thought apart of the land was owned by a skip company... Your family have a great place will you do anything with the place it would make a great musiam 😊
@@ExploringWithEmAndStu Yes all the land still belongs to us the skip firm rents an area. Send me an E.mail address and i will send you photos of the time
@@Chris-Hart-1701a Hey chris are you on Instagram? I do fpv drone flying and was wondering if I could get permission to fly around it and get some awesome footage . If you see my message ,message me on Instagram (finley006)
Wait, he was my great grand father too! lol. Chris who was your nan and who are your parents? My nan was Lorna and my mum is Valerie and I'm Sarah. Wait, I'm going on the assumption William was your great grandad, but there were a few brothers.
Been well over a year since I’ve first started watching you guys. I must say the video quality and editing has improved massively and the use of commentary and the way you show the location you’re at by using detailed photos and the new use of the drone is amazing. Such a big improvement from what began as a small channel is slowly growing😋😋🥰
Nice find. You're right, it does look a lot older than it is. Always crazy just how thick the walls are on a kiln. You usually notice the walls lean inwards so when it expands they are still pressing in the right direction. Good job with the drone shots. Think those kilns are called "bottle kilns" by their shape. Very interesting place!
I love seeing the old machinery. This is an awesome place to explore. Im not familiar with the kilns so its fascinating to hear about them. Thank you so much!
This is some next-level stuff in terms of editing and production. Nice work, you'll soon be at 10k subs lol. Need to visit this one, how do you mean when you say the site is still active? Are you simply referring to the houses nearby?
Hi Dan the place is being used for storing skips and hardcore now.... But the site we was on was abandoned... Thank you for the comments and about the editing we are trying things different maybe it's working lol... Long way off 10k lol
This place is 5mins from me , I've got aload of abandoned places on my google maps I've pinned ,I'm happy to trade some of them for some of the awsome places you've found
