I do like the British comfort food very much. As a kid, my late mom always prepared for us fish & chips, English breakfast, dessers like trifle, pudding etc. As I grow up, I came many types of English tea and my favorite has always been the Twinning Earl Grey with the aromatic fragrant and refreshing taste of bergamot.
I am Cantonese but like English breakfast, fish & chips, and a lot others when I traveled around England. You may say local English food is not as varied as Chinese food, but it has its own charm. On the other hand, London is so international that it is like a food hub of all kinds of food from all around the world. Of course, I have to complain that food is too expensive in London compared to what you can get in China. 😅 So, maybe I can say that it is not the British food sucks, it is the price of British food price sucks. 😅
