  • Jadurberia village is the shuttlecock capital of India where workers have been making badminton birdies for generations. But the rise of mechanized assembly lines and the popularity of synthetic shuttlecocks are threatening to shut down small factories like the Niyogi family's Dodo Shuttles.

*The decline in the feather shuttlecock market was due to the emergence of synthetic shuttlecocks.*
Although, the trajectory and flight of the feather shuttlecocks are unmatchable, durability is sub-par which is a major concern for aspiring players. On contrast, the synthetic shuttlecocks are really durable making it a more economical option. If manufacturers could find a way to match the durability with a competitive price then there is a hope for revival otherwise it's _death is inevitable._

You can grind the feather in shuttle cocks and use it as a fertilizer for strong wood trees like Coconut Tree or for palm trees. The Synthetic shuttlecocks are grade 3 plastic which is really really really harmful to both the land and the water that we use and it's impossible to recycle it because shuttlecocks are only discarded when worn, worn plastics are no good to recycle again because it also takes much energy to do it

@@insectbite1714 Of course not. But rather then me telling people to refrain from buying these things because of ducks being mistreated, I figured it better to pose it as a thought that encourages people to think for themselves.
It clearly worked as you manage to come to the correct conclusion on your own.
If you can, so too can others.

It was so satisfying watching this. Most Badminton players till date prefer feathered birdies over Plastic ones. Good luck to them.

I was trained under Md. Arif in Hyderabad who was the coach for star players like P. Gopichand, Saina, Sindhu etc. I used to play All India Nationals, but honestly I never heard of this brand. We used Yonex Aerosensa-2 and that's the series used worldwide for BWF and other tournaments. Synthetic shuttles are BS, everybody knows that meanwhile nobody uses this brand either except for " Local championships or Gully Badminton " I guess.

@@rohitkashyap5441 So don't complaint as well that the BWF is moving towards synthetic shuttles and that this business is dying, if everyone doesn't play to be featured in international tournaments in the first hand.

@@anuranangogoi9741 What is there to complain....convenience takes its course, obviously...You are trained in the top echelons of the country and this business probably cater to the needs of the bottom of the chain so you will never hear of such a brand....even if we have not heard, there is no need to disregard them

@@insectbite1714 @INSECT BITE *-* What is quality of life?
Isn't it life satisfaction like physical health, family, education, employment, wealth, safety, security to freedom, religious beliefs, and the environment?
I have a very good health, comfort and strong financial background and the other factors satisfied in my life and thereby my quality of life is extremely good and way better than middle class average Indians like you who don't even know the meaning of " Quality of life " or the meaning of " Fore " and then pop tf out to taunt or give lessons to people out on social media with little to no knowledge at all. " Stop having kids, it is bad fore quality of life ", seriously kid?
