    I've seen multiple reviews of this now and I have to say that I don't see how anybody couldn't bag it. The opinions on the top of the club are less diverse than last years model, with most either loving it, or saying it's "nice" The bottom of the club is, yes, "busy" but that's a good job that you don't look at the bottom at address. You were able to take advantage of that "busyness" and your numbers were the best i've ever seen from you. Congrats Mizuno, finally producing a driver that lives up to their irons, I can see them doing very well in the next few years if they continue!

      I'm a very honest reviewer and am happy to say that it is the best feeling Mizuno driver I've ever hit. Aesthetics are good and clean with only the bit that you don't have to look at being the sole the only point of contention. I'm still unsure whether or not to bag it over my LS Tec but it's hard not to be enticed by the great work Mizuno have done in the succession to the 850.

    I had a similar experience with this driver, I was shocked at the forgiveness it provided but I did struggle to get this at my desired trajectory despite changing the settings to maximize the loft. Another slight con for the higher handicapper may be is on the occasional swing where we hit a bit of turf the sole does grab with all those adjustments on the sole. Love the review!

      It shows how important dynamic delivery is as i would have liked to have seen the flight slightly lower and I'm thinking with a little more time, testing and working out where the strike sweet spot for the 900 is, I'd be able to see the flight I wanted. However great club giving good ball speed increases in a market so tightly limited on how they can push club dynamics. I'm not sure now if I'll put the 900 in the bag.....decisions, decisions ☺

    JPX900 is a Bentley. I am crushing mine 10y further than GBB. The adjust ability is AWESOME! I smack it dead straight, its repeat repeat repeat. 661x 45.75 rocketship! Weights in the middle is shear POWER! miss hits are spectacular, however I am finding center face nuts contact very often...yep go buy it!...I'm a unbiased reviewer, club builder 25yrs and hit nearly everything, with a quiver of shafts

      +Pro Zone Hi Björn. Vice as a company have worked hard over the years to try and improve their product. Recently I have made the transfer to the Vice Pro from the V1. Generally I will change my ball every round I play regardless of its condition but during which I try and keep it as clean as possible. Playing with a dirty ball can effect how it flies and also how spin is imparted. I will then put that ex playing ball into my practice bag. Ping use Pro V1s in their product testing only ONCE. They are hit and then discarded from product testing because even after 1 hit the ball goes through a deformation sequence and never truly returns to spherical. The Vice considering the price point is bringing the possibility of playing a premium ball at a sensible price. I am lucky that I get the chance to test and play with a broad range of products and it took a lot for me to change. But even I can't ignore that the Vice ball produces performance equal to that of the Pro V but at a cheaper price point. got mine a few weeks ago. does everything it says it does, don't let the setting overwhelm you, any kindergarten can figure out the settings.
    in terms of over distance, my g ls tec is longer, and with my limited testing the M2 was about the same as my G Ls Tech. the mizuno does something better than any other driver i have ever hit in the past 15 years, in terms of disguising your mishits from an acoustic and performance stand point. my longest drives i venture are probably 10 yards shorter than my gamer, however when i mishit the mizuno there isn't the huge drop in distance and the dispersion is somewhat playable. the sound of mishits is not harsh and doesn't make you want to crawl into the corner and cry like a little baby. overall a very good driver, but might not be very good for accomplished players, because you will have to tinker with it a lot to reduce the spin.

      Hi Mitch. This is my favourite Mizuno Driver ever without fail. The spin is a bit high yes, but the ball speed increase is enough to dull down the impact of the slightly high spin numbers. Total Distance on the Sim with the Pro v1 is about the same as my LS Tec possibly a fraction less due to decreased roll out through higher spin and greater decent angle. Where Mizuno have excelled this time is the sound and overall performance of the face. I'd place this nearly as forgiving as the EZ and that might be a slight problem now as there was a distinct difference between the range with the previous setup, now the new JPX900 Driver is blending into the EZ for forgiveness.

    The JPX900 is a 450cc head and the JPX850 head is a 440cc head, at around 4:45, you say it's the same size as the 850

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  8 лет назад

      Lee you are 100% correct. If the 2 clubs were the same shape you wouldn't be able to perceive the 10cc difference unless you got very particular with a vernier. By far the biggest difference between the two is the footprint and height of the new JPX900 over the 850.
      I should have been more accurate in my description and you quite right to point out that there is a tiny difference in cubic capacity.
      Thanks for the comment and for watching.

      I agree, the difference is hard to notice. The matte finish helps as well with the slightly larger head. Glad to see Mizuno stepping up with the drivers though. Both the 850 and 900 are superb. Good review!

    Thank you for the interesting and nice review! I am currently hitting a Mizuno E III 10° driver. Do you think I could benefit from the JPX 900?

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  8 лет назад

      Yoshitomo111 I would definitely say depending on your strike pattern and if it's not too far off centre then I would give it a test. Sounds, feels and performs great. Thanks for Subscribing. The old against the new video coming soon!

    Hi. Thanks for the review. How would you compare this driver to the standard Epic?

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  7 лет назад

      +Frankie67100 the video review will be an interesting one as mizuno have gone a different way to Callaway. Mizuno have 1 head that with the help of adjustable weighting can perform the forgiving and low spinning spin models. Callaway have released 2 heads, Epic and Sub Zero that perform completely differently within the spin models. I'd have to do a JPX900 vs Epic and change weights and do JPX900 vs Sub Zero.
      Interesting match ups.

    It's forgiving..... max handicap suggestion?

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  8 лет назад

      Hi Neil, I'm not someone who fits clubs on handicap I always go from the students ability to strike the middle of the face. I've taught 28 handicappers that hit the middle nearly every time but can't control face to path, similarly I've taught scratchers that use more of the face than people would assume. Therefore I would always ask you what is your strike tendency as if you hit all over the face I would suggest the JPX EZ, however if you can control your strike then I'd def say give the JPX900 a test.
      Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for the comment and for watching and don't forget to Subscribe if you haven't already.

    Hi I've just ordered jpx900 driver ,5wood , 3 hybrid love them 👌👌👌🏌🏌🏌

      @AskGolfNut  7 лет назад

      +IAN HOWROYD they are very good, I agree. The hybrids are my favourite with them getting so close to the fairways in distance and also with the flight dynamics that I want to see. Having a full set of woods and hybrids in the bag would probably make one of the nicest looking setups out there 👍 Great choices. I hope you enjoy and play well with them.

    aaaaarggghhhh....i love the 850 wasnt looking forward to this review as i can't imagine replacing 850...bottom of the club is irrelevant to me so long as it looks good at address...i like the fact the 850 has a smaller looking head too...i think 850 is going to have to be prised out of my cold dead fingers but....wont sleep unless i try this as an extra 4 yards might see it in my bag 😣

    Like your reviews, would just shorten them up to around 10 mins. 16 mins is a bit of a slog

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  7 лет назад

      +THE GRIFF hi the griff (great name by the way). I know my reviews do have a tendency to be a bit longer than the rest, but I do struggle to get across the looks of the club, it's feeling, how it performs and feels as it's being hit and then how it feels using premium balls. I guess if I was to remove the part where I hit it with my gaming ball the time would come down but then we wouldn't know necessarily how that particular club performs against the rest.
      Any feedback is always welcomed and I always try to reply to every comment I get. Any suggestions you have where you think the format could be changed I'm happy to receive.
