Tender Is The Flesh is the one book I'm sure I'd remember forever, it was so gruesome yet awesome! I still have to read House of Leaves. I'm currently reading Nothing But Blackened Teeth, it's great so far. Great recs, thank you!
I read At Night All Blood is Black because it was up for the Booker and what's his face Erik Karl went on about it and his recommendations, while typically a little too highbrow for me, are usually pretty good nonetheless. I can say I'm glad I got the opportunity to read about a war that I knew very little about and learn a little history, and while I agree with you that it wasn't intended to be a horror book, the gruesome details (much like any war book) were really hard to stomach. I know that's the reality but man, it was tough to read. I'm glad it was relatively short,.
The Southerners Guide to Slaying Vampires was a trip! Love your channel. You're a hidden gem with substance unlike other channels. Would love to here recommendations for other genres from you soon. Subscribed.
I really recommend The Haunted Forest Tour by James Moore and Jeff Strand as well as The Forever House by Tim Waggoner, both were fantastic and a blast to read.
hi i’m new to your channel but i absolutely love your reviews and your taste in books. you’re so great at sparking interest and giving insight. i’ve added so many books to my reading list already and if i find some time i’d love to join the reading club!
I recently read They Thirst (after hearing about it from this video) and I really enjoyed it. I fell into the story so easily and have added other books by Robert McCammon to my list.
Great list. I read both the Langan and the Bradbury this month and really liked them. Both actually really reminded me of King in terms of themes and setting and (for Langan) prose style
Just finished the Southern Bookclubs Guide to Slaying Vampires yesterday and loved it!!!!! I did listen to Horrorstore and thought it a bit scary-ish as well, I think if I would have read it it would have been better! I'm definitely keeping my eye out for it! Feel free to recommend all the Vampire books I need more in my life🖤
Great list, I do want to read House of Leaves. I am reading "Slewfoot" by Brom and I'm loving it, and recommend it for a great Halloween read. Cheers. 🦇
I just sent my brother the house of leaves. He's in prison, I figured he could figure it out lol. Or attempt more than what I could. 🤷♀️ He hasn't been more surprised to see this book. Was so stoked to receive this as a gift. Anyways, I'm glad I know more about it too from this recommendation! Thank you!
Also Red Rising gets better -- please keep reading, at least through the original trilogy. SO good. The first book was Hunger Games-ish, yes, but that's only in the first book. Srsly - keep reading.

Dan Simmons to you and your subscribers/followers

They Thirst was pretty good, and McCammon is awesome. If you haven't read Swan Song, please do.

I love to binge Junji Ito books every Halloween, it's so fun. All of these recs are really good, some of my favorites are here too🖤

i had a scary time while i was reading pet sematary, there were cats fighting outside my house. they scared the hell out of me
I recommend to read 172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad.
Really nice list. I am reading The Fisherman now, and it is truly excellent. I subscribed. Thanks for great content.
Thanks for the sub. Let me know how you like the fisherman when you're done.
I love the Halloween Book Recommendations.
I recommend The Troop it is deliciously disgusting and tragic but an oddly fun read. Ps. I thought the Southern Housewives guide was great.
Nice Halloween list! This October I am reading: Audition by Murakami and Something Wicked this was Comes. Just finished The Haunting of Hill House
Hill House is good. I havent read any murakami but i saw the movie adaptation for audition and it was brutal. Thanks for watching.
@@JeBoardCrabshorts I would really recommend In the miso soup by Murakami! It's a thriller/horror and it's even better than Audition so far.
@@MariaTheMillennial That one is on my list. I've heard it is awesome.
Man, you're so damn handsome 🥺
Is pet cemetery book better than the movie?
Also, I’m a new subscriber!
Welcome and thanks for the sub. Yes the book is way better.
Why why better.
Definitely Pet Sematary is the best book I ever read by Stephen king
