Hmn, would have been pretty nice to know what patch files did what. like which one is the character textures, which one is the blood one, so you can get the best of all worlds. As for me, i'd like to keep the old mount models as i dislike the armor added on the spectral tiger Edit: Just went through a bunch of the patchess 1 by 1 and this is what i got Patch p = Water Textures Patch o = Mob Models (In ascension it can make some of the models such as the Book of ascension or some random mobs, into white/blue squares) Patch N+5+I (Togheter) = Night and day 'Lightning Patch H = Ground and building Textures Patch E/D = Mount models (for some reason both of them are actually the exact same file with different names Patch J+K+B (Goes togheter) = Character Models/textures (not npc's)
Just saw this comment mate, and I'm going to pin it! I've wiped my hard drive since, so your comment actually helped me out too. If I myself could take credit for any of these patches, or understood MPQ editing, there's some things I'd do - Personally I like the Spectral Tiger armour, but the old one is great too.
if someone wanted to know how to remove the darkmode without texture bugging. Remove the files: patch-5, patch-I and patch-N. I was really hard trying to find that out. xD
Just installed this on my Azerothcore Solo server. Works like a charm! Game looks beautiful and I loved the music. I tested this for over an hour and did not receive any errors or bugs yet. I did not try the char creature models yet or the real blood like combat. I'll do that later. I also ran full virus scan and came up clean. Very nice job. I really like it.
I see some complained about the darker nights patch. I personally like it. It adds a nice touch especially in the cities where the street lights shine bright. Torches are also much brighter. It gives a more realistic look to the environment. Kind of iffy on the boar size though. They were three times bigger than my rogue gnome but the death animation is really cool.
All cool man! If you have issues with water being white, try deleting Patch-F. Water is sometimes white in instances, which is normal, but if it's white outside of instances, try deleting Patch-F.

Heads up, if you're on Ascenscion, this WILL break your functionality. Beautiful textures(Although a few aren't shown, and many icons such as dusty tomes and book of ascension, etc.. will show as ? instead of proper, in-game models), but you cannot train anything outside of druid talents once this is installed. If it worked, I'd give it a 10/10, you can tell a lot of love went into this, and even with the broken icons, it would be worth having. Forcing me to uninstall and reinstall the base so I can train skills; 3/10 :/
Sorry to hear this, mate! I can confirm that at the time of uploading; I used these patches on Ascension with absolutely no problem, barring the Book of Ascension appearing as a cube. Apologies, again.
At the time, that wasn't a patch I actively used - I showcased it for the video and conversely forgot to mention which patch it was for people who didn't want to use it.
I've personally run into a couple of problems with these patches... ever since I copied them over I can't create any character it just pops up with 'error creating character' when i try to confirm. Also I can no longer swap through my weapons to see my character hold a ranged weapon. Wondering if anyone knows of a work around for these issues while keeping the updated models?
The second issue - I've became aware of since uploading this video; and I don't have a workaround for it. As for the error creating your characters; I have never encountered this on any of the servers I've used these patches on, nor can I see a way that graphical enhancements would stop you from creating a character. Perhaps that is down to the server?
Primarily the fact that I made this video a number of years ago; and additionally, I never created a "list" of the specific patch file names and what did what. Bear in mind, I didn't create any of these patches; and I simply shared my folder which I was using to play Project Ascension with at the time.
I don't use this channel any more, but I use the one I'm commenting with (New channel. Same name). The custom WoW.exe depends on the patch. You'll have to do some browsing on the Warmane forums to find it. I don't use it personally, so I can't really provide a direct link. If you're on a server with a custom launcher of their own however, this method will not work (Such as Project Ascension)

This should only be used on Private Servers - To clarify, these patches are for the 3.3.5 WoTLK client. They wouldn't work on live/classic and would possibly be picked up on Blizzards' end as game modifications on your side. Stick to running these patches on 3.3.5 Private Servers ONLY.

I've actually enquired into this, and sadly, I don't think there is. - Though I am, currently trying to teach myself MPQ modification, and it'll be one of the first things I attempt!
I do frequently check Modcraft, Ownedcore and Warmane to an extent, as they're the only three websites that I know of that "host" these kind of threads (Should you know any more, please let me know!). If I ever see anything nifty or anything that makes the game look better, I will constantly improve upon the patches I have installed, and may even update this video in the future. Haven't saw any progress in a while though. Kind of sad.
The white water in some areas is unfixable. - To my knowlege, that should only really be Stormwind, and some instances. Read the description of this video. I do plan on updating this video in the near future. Stay tuned to my new channel! (This one, which I'm commenting with).

You are the first person with this issue. I would actually say that if you're unable to delete a file, you simply don't know how to use a computer. Learn to use a PC before you attempt to mod a game.
Cataclysm? None of these patches work in 4.0. If you're talking about how Orgrimmar looks in this video, I believe it's Patch-E. I can't differentiate them.
Because some people play Private Servers, which operate on specific expansions YET provide different experiences such as Project Ascension, and yet they want the game to still appear modern, at least visually.

Not at this moment in time. There is a way to do it, by using a custom WoW.exe it seems. However on servers like Ascension, - You cannot do that.
