Hi there. Great video. I have a question being you surely a fan of Alexi (as am I), do you know when and who took the neck painting off Alexi's Scythe? I've seen it without the white paint it comes from the factory from a 2016 live video. What do we know about it 😊? Thanx
Unfortunately, i don't know. I'm guessing either his guitar tech knows how to do it or there is a guy in Finland they took it to get the job done. I live in the states, so it's hard to find these details out without living in Finland or speaking Finnish. I'm thinking Alexi got used to the older version of the guitar so instead of getting the new version with the sanded neck, he just had someone sand the neck down. Good eye though, i had noticed that from videos too and i wondered why they didn't sand the back of the headstock but it was likely to preserve the serial number and "custom shop" stamp.
@@Warhearts yeah, it must be this way. Many artists do that on the neck alone letting the headstock painted as it is. If you don't see "Made in Japan" on an Edwards, that means the body and neck was CNC'd in China. They take those bodies to Japan to assemble them. That's why can't fully claim it's made in Japan, that's the case for majority of Edwards today. The ones that are made in Japan are old release or deluxe versions Edwards.
