What I love about this game is that when you get pirate legend it’s only the beginning. There’s no feeling of “well what do I do now?” Cause now you have to go and get those curses or get all the commendations.
As a new player that just reached legend I would recommend simply trying all the activities available. My friends and I just kinda try all the things when we play and we had fun and didn’t get bored. Great channel and some of the best audio quality I’ve ever heard on YT.

Crongrats! You and your friends have a great sense of humour! I love these videos Something slightly wrong though, kegs (exploding thingys) are not worth 20k. They come in three(?) types, normal, stronghold, and athena. Worth ~200, ~4k, and ~10k. Unless you are 100% sure you will encounter nobody they are not worth putting on your boat, at best you are in deep trouble and at worst, well... An athena keg can sink a galleon in less than 30 seconds. Never bring them unless you want to use them on other players or don't care about the rest of your loot too much. However they are great fun, so I wouldn't blame you for taking them.

To level up fast, get to grade 5 emissary, collect the quest, lower emissary, rerase, do the quest and repeat. Remember to collect the quest before lowering emissary
Began playing SoT a month after it came out, got pirate legend a year ago and still yet to do a tall tale. Took me 36 days worth of gameplay time to get pirate legend, not my proudest achievement, but I managed to do it.

Chest of rage put in the bottom of the boat and have at least 2-3 buckets full of water in the boat. Run in aground to get the water in there. Put the chest of a barrel, it will explode and immediately be put out.

Wish I could play with someone like you again. I'm almost entirely giving up on the game after more than 1000 hours and I just cannot find a good new crewmember to play with. The game was just become boring to me, hope it never happens with you.
That's a bummer to hear friend. Maybe taking a break from the game for awhile will help revitalise interest in it for you? Sailing on the seas by your self can definitely become boring at times I will admit, with how vast and empty the seas can be. You could also try setting yourself unique challenges outside of what the game sets for you, like trying to speed run something or complete X thing with only a particular tool/weapon/ship. Just some ideas of what might help bring some fun back to SoT for you!
@@CaptainRolfey I enjoy PvP and recent leaks show that they are removing quick swap, my favorite part of PvP. The PvE in this game is so dull and I have completed most commendations requiring me to complete a quest. HG is filled with aimbotters and hard togglers so I feel that I have to swap over to other games.
Yeah that's fair enough. Cheaters definitely make the game less enjoyable... Hopefully what ever game you do decide to move to you have a blast playing it!

@@stultus8107 Afaik it does. I’d do Reapers as your third option instead of either OoS or Merchants.
Mean while, it's possible for 2 players to grind like mad, hitting PL in less than 6 hours, while using the 2x multiplier during community weekend
