Nice job with the video, I'm just about to install the same model in my car. I particularly liked how you explained your thought process as you went along: "I could do A or B but I did C because reasons." Thanks for taking the time to make it, you helped me.
I just purchased a BlackVue DR590X 2CH. If I mount it in the same direction you did, right side with connections, it records upside down. If I mount it with the connections exiting left, it records right side up. What is going on? The rear camera seems "normal". Any thoughts?
After "eyeballing" the center of the camera lens to the windshield, the only other angle you have to worry about is up/ down. The camera does pivot. At that point, let it record, review the footage and then adjust as needed.

Does it work, if the car is parked and turned off, when connected to the cigaret turner?

I just bought this same model, is it compatible with the mobile app? if so where do you find the cloud code for set-up? thanks
I’ve seen a few videos where it doesnt show how fast you go, why is that? Why isn’t the device telling you what speed you go
In order for it to know how fast you're going you need to add the GPS module. I didn't feel a need for it.
The DR590- does not include the gps sensor. You have to buy it separately. The more expensive models have wifi, cloud services and gps etc.
How do you know if the camera is angled/aimed correctly?

Does the dash cam come with a gps receptor?
Dean Hassan There are cameras with the GPS option, but I preferred without it. No one needs to know where I am or how fast I’m going.
@@jeffreymark6545Agree. Agree 😂😂
How do you record an event?
It's constantly recording and overwriting as the card get filled.
