Down on the dyke right now, 4/30/22. going off your crab method for black drum. At 2 mile marker. Was a fan before i knew who you were. Im friends with your uncle glenn. Got him a job with me. Any tips to helpe catch my first black drum.?
Yeah it's a good video for a matures or some one new to saltwater fishing. I grew up fishing the dike back in the late seventies through the mid 2000 .and we used to use squid and small live croakers are killer baits for all species of inshore saltwater fish.
Liked looking at you I also look at fishing with CRD at the duke man he catch some big what he call BIG UGLYS the black drum's and I seen him catch red's he also sometimes give them away GOD Bless you
Good video. For me, I no longer will fish like this. It is not fun or a style I enjoy anymore. I would rather put on waders or get out on my kayak and throw plastics, corkies, or topwater.
I feel that, I only fish like this when I don’t have much time and just go for a quick easy trip or to just hang out and get outside! Wading with artificial is definitely my favorite though!
Great video. Quick question here, is this the north side or the south side?
nice video from where did you buy a rig thanks
when is the drum run?
Should be starting very soon!
@@BeforeOutdoors appreciate the response. I love your channel man, if you ever want to go surf fishing hit me up. i can drone out out bait.
This guy knows his stuff
Thanks for watching!
Headed to academy in a few.. what rod an real do you recommend for this?
This is a good place to go fishing but how much is the entrance fee now?
There’s only an entrance fee on the weekend and I believe it is $10. But, I don’t think there’s a fee during the winter months
Also i will you give me some tips on the way you set that rig up i love fishing but im a rookie
I have another video showing how to make this exact rig and it shows everything you need to put it together.

I made the trip to TCD from Corpus and that's how my trip went too!🙂
If I lived in corpus the last place I would be traveling to fish is Texas city 😂 there's so much good fishing down in the corpus and south Texas area
@@colbyjohnson3793 I agree there are some great spots but I miss the Houston-Galveston area!
A big piece of shad is my go to for bull reds. Nothin smaller then 36” is what I pull out.
I always seem to stay away from shad just because of how soft it gets, but have seen some big reds pulled out in the surf on fresh shad!
Still a good video
I like crab for black drum and redfish. I have also caught a 42-inch black drum on a headless dead shrimp.
Fished tcd last week !not one bite lol I hate tcd lol
It also looks like a landfill.
Its the same in Freeport Texas but if you are in a boat and can go to the inlets. Thats where the fish are at now
This is the guide i need
Great video bro where do you buy the fresh crab and mullet and are the crab alive when you buy em ?
I get the bait from Boyd’s at the very beginning of the Dike. And yes, The crabs are alive when you buy them! Thanks for watching!

Reds love them croakers. That's what I use. Blue crab when the bite is slow.
