Utilizing Sour Down Air like you do in this video makes it become one of Ryu's most potent aerials in his combo game, and I will definitely look for opportunities to use it in the future! @@buandon Hello there Buandon! I hope you are well as we finish the year of 2023.
It has been about 9 months since I have last witnessed such an immersive innovation to Ryu's gameplay. At least, that's what I thought. In my travels to California, Chicago, Michigan, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, I have come to realize that this innovation leaves Ryu more prone to being reversaled, thus risking the initial advantage state. This causes Ryu to be put in a disadvantageous position. In a tournament setting where Ryu only gets so many chances to make plays to succeed, being vulnerable to the opponent's pressure is not something I am a fan of.
I have found myself questioning the purpose of this "development". The risk and reward ratio makes me feel like there is more to be desired. Going forward, I will stick to the simple lesson that my mom always told me: "finish your food", preferably with a simple UAir -> Shoryuken.
I will kindly be removing this tool from my arsenal, and I wish you well on any future endeavors.
