The reason that variables go to high values so fast is because the variables are not in sync with the framerate, just put a [Wait (0)] block on the top of the loop and everything will go as normal. I hope this helped.
nice job especially on the camera part, also if you wanna make another sprite move as you’re scrolling, make x and y variable for it and make it change and go to x - scroll x y - scroll y
0:37 You can make this script more efficient by saying: Forever - change [ScrollY] by ( - ) - change [ScrollX] by ( - ) The block will treat "false" as "0" and "true" as "1" when used in an operator block. This means that pressing "w" results in "ScrollY" being changed by "true - false", or "1 - 0", or just 1. And pressing s results in "ScrollY" being changed by "false - true", or "0 - 1", or just -1.
I mean I could.....but this is for the people who need it. Even though it's pretty much the same thing, I use scratch so no confusion or suff n' stuff.

@@brain_snakes Ik how the scripts work, I just didn’t do it cause i thought it’d be simpler to do it the way I did it
@@brain_snakes The tutorials are supposed to show off how the variables work rather than the movement so I kinda just did something normal.
@@TheBlueDEV That makes sense, sorry if I came off as pretentious.
@@brain_snakes No, you just made a simple suggestion of some sort. It’s ok man. :p👍
@@brain_snakes btw, new video coming soon.
