I am using my dream setup now :) Panasonic G9, 8-25mm/4, 12-100mm/4, 45mm/1.2, 50-200mm/2.8-4, 100-300mm/4-5.6. In fact, all this is so wonderful, that in 2024 I've shot more then in any other given year since I've started to use digital cameras in 2004! I also already have a way to upgrade this to keep the "dreaminess" of this setup up to date - G9II and/or GH7. I don't see the need to upgrade now, but the existing possibility gives me the sense of future proofness of my setup.
Pen-F with phase detect autofocus, usb-c, tilt screen, and metal build quality. Just make the rest of the camera as modern as reasonable, like maybe it should have the same specs as the current OM5.
My dream setup is OM1 km2 + 150-400 pro. Now I have OM-1 mk1 + 100-400. The good news is that OMDS will also focus on other types of photography. Read the letter from OMDS CEO: "Shortly, we plan to add a new camera to our lineup and bright, compact single-focal-length lenses with splash & dust-proof performance. All created to meet the challenges of harsh outdoor environments to ensure that you enjoy not only landscape photography in the great outdoors, but also authentic photos of life every day."
I shoot birds in flight with the OM-1 MK1, and I also use a Canon R6 mkII which I got a great deal on. I use the 300F4 and PL 100-400 with the OM-1, and I use the RF100-500 with the Canon. The Canon is better, but after the last firmware update the OM-1 is very close. Last year I invested in a Fujifilm X-H2s, and the Fujinon 100-400, I returned it after 3 weeks, Fuji's AF isn't much better than the Lumix G9 MK1 with contrast detect. But my OM-1 blows away my EM-5 MKIII which was still very usable. I remember you had an issue shooting an indoor concert I think, I've had no problems with the OM-1 including an indoor live show, but the lighting was decent.
A compact with a non-interchangeable lens that is very competitive with the Canon G7X Mk 3 and the Sony RX100 VII in terms of features and is lower priced.
GX8 II and weather-resistant prime lenses.

I would love a digital trip 35 with a fixed 20 mm 1.4 pancake. Of course with weather sealing and a tilt screen 😍

Pen-F with 24mp or HHHR and also inbody Focus stacking. I have E-M1 MKiii but something about the Pen-F…the colors, the size, build, etc…

If my em10 iv was weather sealed, along with the small weather sealed primes promised I’d be happy. Don’t need much more than that.
I use E-M1 III with Sigma 16 F1.4 and E-PL6 with Sigma 30 F1.4. These are perfect to me. But i miss something like 50-200 F2.8-3.5 SWD :D.

Agree, I use a Canon G5Xii and a RX100vi and would love a similarly spec'd M4/3 cam, bring it on and I'm in the queue.
Allow 3rd party firmware updates for older cameras.
