- After having recently watched The Sopranos for the first time, the desire to create a video "trailer" for the series became difficult to resist. Some of the scene choices could be better and I feel like the colour correction was far too dark at times, but after 30+ hours of work this is the result. Anyway, $4 a pound.

"The guy in going to hell for" always hits hard
"that's nice" from junior aswell. A whole life sacrificied for "this thing of ours", ruined countless of lives for an extravagant lifestyle. And in the end he's all alone and demented. Livia was right all along.
"I gave that fuk pieces of my Soul Adriana! And you know what he said to me? He said I should have a fukin drink."
Man, I forgot how powerful of a line that was. Probably Chris's most hard hitting line, in my opinion.
I feel so sorry for Chris, he never had a chance and was so emotionally dysfunctional meaning he was so easily manipulated by the sociopaths who raised him and ‘cared’ for him

It's top 3 but Better Call Saul is 1 to me

@@FOREVERSTAKEN it is most definitely not a better show. For the simple reason that it feels far too much like a story and not just the cruel reality of life. Neither show is realistic but the sopranos is just so much more real. Even the locations for filming. I grew up on the set of the show without realizing it.
Better call Saul is not even in top 10 of all time list heck it was not even best show when it it was airing ,it was second best show behind succession

I seen this series about 5 times and each time I find a newview or understanding or call back I never seen the previous times , this is why the is literally the greatest show ever madez itwas the first and last time it was done right ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!!

As a British fan who was lucky enough to go to NYC, see The Bing and meet Vito (oddly selling crap out the back of his car) - I can say this is a fine piece of editing and something to be very proud of. I forgot just how gripping and well written the whole thing was. Superb.
Excellent montage. In fact this is one of the finest ones (if not the best one) I've seen. Where most tributes or montages to The Sopranos have an energetic or glamorizing tone to them, this one does a great job at showing just how twisted and ruthless the mafia really are.

Sopranos really serves every emotion during the whole series but pointing out the pure dramaturgy and true sadness of the destineys of all the characters in such an elegante composition is just great art. Thank you so much. Really, I mean it.

Chris was battling addiction and he was serious about turning his life around after going to AA. For tony to suggest he should have a drink must have hit hard because he realized tony didn't give a shit about his struggles with the inner daemons. This is what the show really was imo. They harp on family but they're not related. They preach honor while they lie and steal. Just a bunch of miserable guys with their priorities exactly backwards.
Couldn't agree more. Part of the reason this video focuses so heavily on the mafia element of the show is to highlight their cognitive dissonance when going back to rewatch.

None of them was a man of honor... They each sold and wacked it each other when it suited them... They each squirreled their way of obligations when it suited them... No honor in this thing of ours.
To be fair though I would like to point out that most actually take their prison sentence and don't rat. Though the DeCavalcantes seemed to have a lot of guys that started talking lol. But the New Jersey faction of the Genovese seems to have gone strong =P. But I guess if we talk about the Sopranos then sure.
