To date, the Genesis version of SSF2 remain the only game in the entire SF franchise to feature Expert Arcade Mode. SFA2 & SFA3 on the PS2 features EX Arcade Mode. But it's incomparable to Expert Arcade mode of Genesis SSF2. By the way, I'm totally not used to hearing Cammy say "Thrust Kick" and "Cannon Drill." I had the Japanese Mega Drive version of SSF2. So I grew up knowing the moves as Spiral Arrow and Cannon Spike respectively. Fun Fact - The move Cannon Drill was in fact canonized by Capcom Japan as the Psycho Power-infused Spiral Arrow, officially introduced into the SF canon in SFA2G, though it officially debuted in X-Men vs. SF.

Considering the sega megadrive had a better sound chip than the super nintendo, They really under used it's truest and fullest potential for quality, Even for the sound effects and added background parallex animation, But overall not a bad conversion for the megadrive 😉

Buen port de Super Street Fighter 2, lo unico negativo es la musica. Hay algunos temas buenos como el de T. Hawk, Dee Jay, Fei Long, Cammy, los Creditos, pero los demas temas son decentes o pesimos. El tema de Sagat en este port es tan malo como su tema en el primer Street Fighter 😖 Lo peor de todo es que SF2 Special Champion Edition que tambien salio para la Genesis/Mega Drive tenia mejor musica.

Furthermore the Genesis version has more game speed option, has Expert Arcade Mode (as showcased in this video), have proper BGM transition between rounds, more voices and frames of animation compared to the Genesis, not to mention more arcade-perfect ending sequence. Because the Genesis version has MORE content, with actual gameplay more faithful to the arcade version, I consider the Genesis version to be the more definitive home port of SSF2 during the 16-bit era
