Thank you for posting this video! While I am late to the party I just got one in today and figuring out Battroid mode had me confused. All good now. MW!!
Awesome review. I just got the regular Grunt Nightmare Plus w/ its Armor parts, and seeing you transform it really helped. Its my first DX Chogokin and I was scared to even apply any kind of pressure to move parts as I'm more of a model kit builder. I'm thinking of getting one more Nightmare Plus and Alto's to make a squad display.
Always been fascinated with these toys. Putting these into actual transformation seems kinda tricky and difficult. And would be a miracle or technological marvel if they'll actually build one that practically can do battle.. just a thought..lol!
Given Bandai's current release distribution, you can't get one even if you wanted one on pre-order. They sold out in minutes across stores online. Maybe a second release will happen, but given how well the 29 did even on a second run, you would need to be pretty lucky and quick to even get one then.
I am so jealous you got this. I don't understand why Bandai would bother with going through all the production involved with a VF and then hardly even make any.
The plastic is like some of the Yamato Valkyries, styrene (model kit) not ABS quality. The review shows the armpit plastic (shown around 8:55 & 25:10) is very thin, plus plastic thicknesses vary. The diecast upper arms & ankles are sturdy, but the hip diecast area is unstable. I've collected transforming toys since the 80s & I feel the recent Bandai Macross items are well detailed, but average quality & way overpriced. I have 3rd party transformer toys that even beat these hands down.
Nothing like a complicated and satisfying veritech fighter to make me wanna watch my old robotech DVD's

just got mine delivered today from hlj :)
What a great collection you got there! Give it to me!
when you have loose diecast ball joints, how do you tighten them. The screws are already really tight but the joint is still loose. use crazy glue?
Do you need to lubricate all the joint so easier to transform?
why have open comments if your not going to answere any questions?
Wear did you get this at
where did u find this ?
Great review ! But tranformation is terrible complicated !
The old "classic" valkyrie is the best.

How fragile is the figure? (asking because I got the old and cheap plastic VF-25S)
great job!
how much and where to buy?
where can i get one kinda cheap?
Trying to look for a macross fig to get maybe. This here looks icing on the cake. xd ^^
What scale is that?

your best bet now is Mandarake
dont think you can get one kinda cheap since this just came out
NUNS?
Those are Macross Valkyries not Homotech Varitechs.
Big black triangle..lol
The transformation made me cringe haha. Tried mine and already saw crack on both sides of the small black hinge! I aborted! lol
