Have you thought that some of the people moving to a new country they are already “paying “ to the new country with the education and health they bring? (paid by the tax payers of the former country or families in that former country).

I think economists are so hamstrung by the politics of their handlers, that they won't say certain things explicitly. Free markets exist to serve peoples needs only and exist because people let them exist. Arbitrary nation state constructs are likewise, only important as far as they serve these needs.
The needs of many do outweigh the needs of the few, and that focusing on economic value will inevitably makes all human relations even human beings, arbitrary and unnecessary.

Don Burgundy to these people it’s also a person who is subservient to the government of that city. Who knew western culture would come back to that ideology, after our fore fathers faught to get away from that and have individuality be thought of as the most important thing we protect.

mde shafik has no notion of what democracy is. a common problem, although often wilful ignorance.
aristotle asked: " who decides?" and if the answer was, 'the people assembled, and deciding in concert.' that's what 'democracy' means. there are other words to descibe american society, 'oligarchy' is good, you can be more precise by saying 'elective oligarchy.' it is no kind of democracy, and you can not be a citizen in an oligarchy, for you are not a member of the ruling group.

cash makes the world go round. Unless its about criminals, this really should be implemented as it conforms with the constitution, unlike the calls for allowing all "refugees"
