This is an example of deceptively simple production. Few elements going on that make this track really stand out:
1) Polyrhythms - The kick, snare, guitar plucks, and chopped vocal samples are all playing completely different beats that oppose each other yet blend together nicely. Try tapping the snare part with your left hand and the guitar part with your right hand - it will be nearly impossible for you to do this due to how they oppose each other.
2) Unresolved chord progression - those emotional sounding piano chords never resolve which builds suspense throughout the track and makes you hit replay 100 times
3) The emotion of the music matches the lyric in a way that you don't hear in a lot of songs.
