I am using Xtreme for 5 years and after 2 years I am also very disappointed with the engine noise. I have visted around 6-8 mechanics for the suggestion but they are all wrong and not able to pin point the problem.
Finally, I visited Hero Service and got replaced chain tensioner which resolved my bikes noise issue. It costs me only Rs. 500/-.
So I suggested always visit Hero authorized service center for any engine related issue. You will save your money.

Bhai mein 3 saal se 20w40 dalta aa raha tha mere 2nd hand CBZ mein. Mujhe laga Indian conditions ke hisaab se best rahega karke.

Next time dhyan rakhunga 10w30 ka.
Agar awaaz aa rhi hai , aur engine garam hone pe aa rhi toh , rocker arms ki bearing aur cam bearing check kara lena iss engine me high rpm me awaaz ka reason yahi parts hote in in most cases , baaki usske baad timkng chain tensioner check kar lena , ussko ghar pe hi repair karne ka video channel par hai ap deekh sakte hoo.

For the last one and a half year I m struggling with tik-tik engine noise.
Opened the head 6 times , adjusted tappet many times, wasted money but no solution.

Great info boss. I have the same issue with my CBZ (2010) extreme. Before watching this video I believed that the 'khit khit' sound was coming out of Tappet settings. But after watching you, I have found that my one of the rocker arms bearing is having some play in it. I also consulted so many mechanics before but everyone had identified different issues, and it was quiet confusing. But now I will do the same thing as you done, I will make it fixed from showroom itself. Thank you very much for sharing such a wonderful video. Please share your contact if possible.
Buddy thanks a lot! And same problem is in Bajaj bikes as well. People can't detect these problems and mechanics aren't competent enough, I had problem of harsh engine with clicking sound, power decreased and mileage got poor, this was at 10,000 so I was certain, that nothing was worn out, my bike needed tappet clearance adjusted, I did it myself. Since the sound came from top and I knew it was from the tappets, exhaust tappet clearance was 60% more than normal and intake clearance was almost nil. So I adjusted them to factory specs: intake 0.05mm, exhaust 0.10mm in my pulsar 135, 2017 bs4 model
Friends always change your engine oil on time, never try to save money on engine oil otherwise something else may fail and you will eventually have to spend on repairs which are more costly than engine oil.

I got the same model as yours.
Case-1 My bike makes no sound in the start...it goes well upto4-5 kms and then starts making the kit-kit noise...when m riding alone...and its RPM increases.
Case-2 When m riding tripsy or rather 2 heavy people...it starts making that noise in a kilometer or two only.!!!
Firstly I thought this might be the spark plug but it ain't that fault too...I have recorded a video of the sound too...can you please reply so that I can DM you the Video somewhere and you could judge...thanks in advance
use only original seals plus makec sure that you adjust you tappets by the feeler gauge not by mechanics sheer gut or feel .. plus bro there should be a slight sound only when the engine is cold but not when your engine is hot and on operating temperature
My engine also makes kit kit sound after warming up only.
And regarding the oil leak, your engine may have warped due to improper tightening of bolts or some manufacturing defect. No seal would fix that. Get the head and block machined machined at a good shop and then apply original seal with paste. Dont forget to tighten bolts (long ones) in proper order and at proper torque only (cold engine). Everything needs to be done properly for best results and these mechanics dont do it.

I have Yamaha Fz FI 2017 model now it's 9 months old, and there is a screeching sound or like a whistle sound coming from engine head , it happens when the bike runs for about 15 to 20 mins or when the engine is hot enough. Chain timming is good . I don't know what the problem is ????. Waiting for reply.

I own cbz xtreme of 2012 model. I am getting the noise on 3rd gear, I asked many mechanics, and they all told that we need work on the engine. I m not sure whether the issue is with engine or gear ?
if you are experiencing noise only in 3rd gear then there could be a something wrong with your gear system not with engine itself.

I've 3 questions-
1) mere Xtreme sports me bhi bohot dino se yeh "Tik Tik / Mild rough sound" hay. Service center me kehne se wo bolte Hain "Sab Kuch thik hay".... Aap keya kehte ho, yehi sare parts change karloon ?
2) me MOTUL Ka 5100 (10W30) use karta aya Hun. Isse koi problem ho Sakta hay keya ?
3) GULF ki konsi 10W30 Engine oil aap recommend koroge ? Kiunki gulf me at least 2 tarha ki 10W30 oil options hay .

maine motul use kiya hai theek oil hai but apne engine ko jitna gulf ka oil suit karta hai utna aur koi oil bhai aacha nhi chalta hua feel kiya maine ..plus agar apne video pura deekha hai toh mai bata du ki main awaaz bearing ki hi aati hai aur jab bearing me play hoo jaata hai toh tik tik ki awaaz aur badh jaati hai ..

Brother I am having a 2014 model xtreme..... And from the beginning it is giving me a issue that it vibrates a lot... And after some time the problem increased and now the bike makes a lot of noise and vibration at high RPM and is very insufficient at hills and at high RPMs.... And no one is able to detact what the issue is.... I have even got it bored on a advice of a macanic. What to do
Inspect your rocker arm bearing , cam bearings for play and make sure your timing chain tensioner is good and timing chain has enough tension , now agar fir.. bhi bike me pick up ka issue hai toh usska airfilter replace kar ke kisi hero ke service centre me jaake usska carb adjust karwa lo vo digital meter laga ke set kar dete hain rpm and afr ko .. usske bad i feel apka ye issue theek hoo jaana chahiye ..

only use 10w30 grade oil .. semi synth hoo ya synthetic usse bauth zaada fark nhi padega .. waise i would suggest semi synthic use karo cheap padegaa aur bas ye yaad rakho ap ki gaadi ka service 2000 kms me karwa hi dena hai :) i tell koi rarely hi koi problem feel hogi engine me :)

This engine has vibration from 4k to 5k rpm , i have tried soo many things but could not resolve or completely reduce them , i feel this engine is designed like that.

no it will not create any problem , but make sure that you are using 10w30 grade only for this engine.

my bike makes grunt noise when accelerate, the vibrations has considerably increased, the bike feels heavy, lost its kick. there is 5000km on its meter. used 20w 50 oil for 1000km by mistake the company recommended is 10w 40. make grunty noise and the whole bike vibrates. was it a same issue with you.
always use 10w30 grade oil for this engine plus make sure you clean you air filter once in every month . plus adjust your tappets to spec .. and i guess you will be free from your problems .. :)
I have hero hunk, whenever my bikes stays idle for a week then compression gets lost. Also have noise issues should I go with changing engine volve?
Before any anything First get your timing chain plus engine timing checked , because if you engine timing is incorrect that will lead to loss of compression , this has happened with me too , i have a feeling that your bike is also suffering from the same issue , if this not the issue then ,you can get your valves plus piston check for low compression .
Good knowledge bro. But my xtreme is vibrating if I go beyond 50 speed. Pls let me know exact problem. I have shown to 10 to12 mechanics but non of them cleared. In month of feb 2020, I have spent almost 12000 rupees for the vibrating and all the engine parts are new now. Still problem exists
just adjust your rocker arms properly and make sure your carb is adjusted properly plus you are using 10w 30 oil and also check that your carb pipes have no cracks and leaks .. because vaccum leaks will alter air fuel mixture and this will lead to improper ratio of fuel into combustion chamber .. which will lead to vibs .. i hope this helps :)
Well said. I checked the bearing of my camshaft and there is no play but I still get tappet noise.

@@LetsLookInside Before or after I wrote this comment here I went for a test ride the next day with the same tappet sound and few minutes later my bike stopped and its valves were bent because of loose sprocket on the camshaft and the sprocket slipped from the camshaft. I finally purchased the valves, camshaft and its sprocket and new rockers arms. I have to fix it later and test the sound later. The most dangerous thing is the timing chain settings and if anything is misaligned or slips from its place then one by one items will break if we ignore the sound and finally the engine gets seized.

my bikes mileage was around 45 even when the cam shaft bearings and rocker arms bearing where shot .. but yess it can ver well effect your mileage as it can affect timing if there is too much play which surely will make it run rough

Timing chain se hoo sakta hai awaaz agar , tin tin ya chan chan type ka noise hai .. agar noise me knock need hoo rha toh vo tappet sound hai , aur agar apki gaadi 6000 rpm ke baad bauth zaada awaaz kar rhi ekdum se toh vo cam aur tappet bearing noise hai .. head open karwa ke usske donno rocker arm ke bearing aur cam bearing check karwao i m very sure ki ye bekar nikalenge iss engine me awaaz issko hi hoti hai

#LetsLookInside My Old CBZ 2001 Model Is also Causing Noise ..I'm advised by technician to change timing chain & tensioner .. but by chance yesterday whlie engine was start it suddenly stopped seems chain has got loose or have lost it's place.. will take it to technician in morning ..on contrary i got replaced it's tensioner only 3 months ago but after few days the noise started again & this time i was suggested to change both chain & tensioner but after watching your video i'll get checked it's cam etc as seen in ur video..any suggestions..? Does baring comes sepretaly or it is attached with cam & also do the tensioner & timing chain is common in cbz ,cbz extreme , honda unicorn etc ?
Timing chain tensioner is the part that is more prone to failing , as i also got mine replaced undder warranty after all this work was done to my bike , and you can get bearings cheaper if you buy them separately and get it fixed to your old cam but according to me it requires hammering if done by workshop machnics and that hammering cam damage your cam , and that hammering can also make your cam unbalanced which in return will cause more vibrations.. soo that was the sole reason for me to buy a new cam directly as i dont like to take chances, it comes pre-installed will new bearing , but if you dont want to spend 900bucks on a new cam i would suggest get the old bearing removed via hydraulic press and get it installed by hydraulic press in that care the balance of the will remain balanced .. but this can be a cumbersome task because most of the machnics dont have hydraulic press machine...

My bike has been driven more than 1 lakh kms but no engine oil shortage or discharge of oil ..and it's in sound condition... On contrary i even not had serviced it's carburetor(as technician advised not to open until required ) even since i purchased it 17 years ago but only cleaned filter & replaced oil timely..
you will need to adjust your valve timing via tappet nuts , when you change your cam and rockers .. :) and if you want super butter smooth engine i can provide you with one more tip .. put in some nulon engine oil additive to your bike's engine and i tell you it will be an day and night difference .. it costs 130 for 50 ml in the local market .. or you can go on this link and buy it online www.nulonindia.com/cat/E-25-Engine-Treatment.html

Bhai itna jaldi jaldi timing chain kharab hoo hi nhi sakti hai , ap apke rocker arm bearing aur cam bearing ko check karwaiye , plus timing chain tensioner ko check karwaiye , plus timing chain ki guide hoti hai ander , ussko bhi check kariyegaa ki kahi vo gadbad toh nhi hoo gyi hai , usske wajay se bhi awaaz aa sakti hai..

Gaadi me agar smoke nhi aa rha hai aur pickup aur average theek hai toh mere hisab se piston aur rings kharab nhi honge , dikkat head me hi hai , iss engine me usually head me carbon jama hoo jaata hai , jisse valve timing effect hoti hai and kai baar combustion ke liye jo pressure chahiye hota hai vo nhi ban paata kyuki carbon deposits ke wajay se valve aache se seal hoke close nhi hone lagte hain , i would recommend ki engine ka kaam karane se pehle ap head ka checkup karaiye usske baad hi soochiye aage ka and extremely sorry for late reply

check your choke wire , i feel your choke is stuck open , if this does not solves your problem then re adjust your carburetor

Bhai kaam karegaa , but oil 10w30 grade ka hona chahiye , apne jo oil liya hai vo mota hai , aur usse apka engine heat karega jab ap bike ko tez chalayenge. Go for gulf 10w30 semi synthetic , ye best kaam karta hai iss engine ke liye.

recently i was so worried about my hero hunk 2018 model which is making so Noise like ( kich kich kich).. so, i checked up my bike with a local mechanic. first he said that, timing chain kharap hain, toh mene badla diya timing chain ferbhi (kich kich kich) sound nehi gaya..! fer mera ak bara bhai ne bola rokcher/bearing kharap hain...!

yeh engine unicorn, Hunk aur cbz extreme me common hai, Par unicorn aur Hunk ke mukabale cbz extreme ka compression ratio zyada hai is liye iska pickup zyada hai aur wear and tear bhi thoda jaldi hosatakta hai who chalane wale pe depend hai
What's the current average of your bike?I have 2011 hunk and I am getting a milege of 32 in delhi traffic condition.
I am confused that what should I do for better milege.I have changed the Spark plug,air filter and adjusted the carburetor.There is no white smoke.
my bikes gives an average of 45 kmpl in Lucknow traffic condition easily.
Try adjusting your tappets also. It will help increase your mileage :)

Does ur Cbz was having vibration in foot rest and handle bar, I have Cbz exterme 2008 model I have problem of vibration when going on speed of 45 km and above at 4500 rpm and above. I have shown my bike more than 45 mechanic no one can solve it even they can understand, Hero Say this is normal our all bike vibrate, my bike has travel 41000 kms, I change Engine Oil at even 1200 km using shell 10w40 semisentathic.
Use gulf 10w30 semi synth and beleive me you will love it as your engine will feel more smooth and gear shifts will feel more easy buttery and yess for the vibrations i would say there is no fix and one of the big reason for that is air cooled engine , and i would like to tell you bro that all the cbz xtreeme owners are facing this problem but i would say that you make sure your engine's tappet are adjusted properly as they also can make your engine vibrate but yess there is no spot on fix for the vibrations at 4500 rpm in extreme .. even my bike has it

Jyada timing chain tight karne se kya problem hoga
Agar zaada hi tight kar denge toh chain guide jaldi giss sakti hai .. baaki steel parts pe koi zaada fark nhi padega . But ye recommend nhi , so apke gaadi ke hisaab se jaha tight kariye.

I'm using xtreme sport bike from Dec 2015, from this time I'm facing same issue , from this time need to change rocker at 9k to 10k km, I'm getting tired with this problem, showroom person don't entertain at all for this issue while including engine 5 years warranty , if u plan to buy this bike so my suggestion is better way go through other bike option
apke crank bearing me play toh nhi hai .. please ek baar check kariye .. because mere bike me maine ek baar hi change karya hai abhi bhi shi hai sab kuch ..
crank bearing me agar play hoga toh loads me usse hi upar cam rotate hoti hai aur agar usske thru jerk aayegaa continous toh i feel ye ek cause hoo sakta hai ki aapke cam bearing kharab hone kaa baar baar .. plus make sure ki apka oil pump jo hai vo theek hoo agar vo weak hai ya kam oil pump kar rha hai upar cams tak tab bhi ye problem aayegaa .. make sure ki neeche ek jaali hoti hai .. ussko oil strainer bolte hain ussko bhi saaf kar digiye .. usse apka oil pump ko oil aache se milegaa suck karne ke liye

suspension ka true idea lene ke liye i suggest ki ap gaadi ko test drive kariyega pakka se fir jo bhi pasand aaye vo ligiyega .. baaki i would suggest ki ek baar tvs entorq bhi deekh lena vo bhi acha hai kafi feature loaded hai :)

Kharcha kitna aya isme.. Mera bhi extreme sports hai. Same prblm tha fir maine engine main kuch parts change kiya uske bad aoaj 6 mahine ke liye chala gaya.. Lekin abhi thand ki mahiene me jab first start hota hai tab wo aoaj firse hote hai till the engine gets hot.. Thore chalne ke bad nehi hota hai.. I don't know what to do. Pehle rocker change kiya usse nehi ja rahi thi aoaj. Uske bad engine me piston change karne ke 6mahine ke bad ab ye problem ho raha.. Mujhe is aoaj ko band karwana hai. What to do.....
Bhai apke engine oil me .. waxpol ka engine oil saver ya nulon ka engine oil additive daalo 50ml daalna hai engine oil me .. isse engine smoth aur sound aur kam hoga .. plus ek baar apke timing chain tensioner ko nikalwa ke fir se lagwao and ye make sure karna ki timing chain tight hoo .. actually mere bike me bhi awaaz hoo rha tha toh maine timing chain tensioner open kar ke ussko fir se fully open position me lagaya usse bhi jo sound hai vo pura chala jaata hai .. .. i hope it helps .. baaki timing chain ke liye agar kuch tips deekhna hoo toh mere channel me timing chain fix ka video hai mai wahi process karta hu jab bhi first start me mere engine me engine noise hone lagta hai . clutch plates agar shi hai toh , ap usska airfilter saaf kar lo then jo engine oil hai vo gulf ka semi synth 10w30 daal lo rs 380 ka milegaa .. i m sure apki gaadi fir se bhagne lagegi , aur haan spark plug check kar lena agar usska tip ka color black hai that means ki afr ratio bauth rich hai soo carb ko bhi adjust karwa lena after you change airfilter and engine oil .. plus make sure ki jo grade ka engine oil maine apko bataya hai wahi daalna , log akar ye galti karte hain ki iss engine me 20w40 oil daal dete hain and then isska pura pickup chala jaata hai .. koi aur query hoo toh comment karna i will surely answer :)
aur haan tappets bhi adjust karwa lena agar head se sound ho plus make sure ki apka spark plug ka color brown hoo tip ka .. that means ki combustion proper hai.. baki agar plus ke side me black deposits hain toh vo bura nhi hai vo normal hai .. :) main plug ke tip ko deekhna , aur agar tip me white color hai that means ki afr ratio baith lean hai soo ussko adjust karne ka jarorat hai , lean means air zaada hai aur petrol kam , rich means petrol zaada hai aur air kam .. :)

EVEN MERE BIKE ME BHI ABHI THODA SOUND HOO RHA HAI .. isska solution soocha hai maine .. because mere bike mew bhi saare parts new hain except timing chain .. but i know vo bhi abhi shi hai .. i feel mere oil strainer ka mess block hoo sakta hai oil fillings se toh usske wajay se oil utna adequately head me upar nhi hoo pAA rha hoga .. soo agar vo fix hoo jaayegaa toh i feel sound kam ya band hoo jayegaa :)
Bro I have unicorn 150 .. When I drive my bike engine is very smooth no sounds even when I stop bike and raise the bike smooth sound.. But when I drive on 10/15 speed my engine sounds like tak tak tak... Can I get any solution related this issue..
gear down kar liya karo bhai .. make sure that you downshift 2nd or 1st gear for such low speeds .. agar tab bhi awaaz aa rha hai toh ek baar wheel bearing check karwa lena bhai maybe koi kharab hoo .

How to adjust oil supply to increase fuel combustion and save fuel also...
adjust your afr to your desired setting and you can save more fuel but keep in mind more fuel economy will decrease your pickup and power also soo its best to keep this in between so that you can get best of both worlds .. !

Ki nhi .. at times aisa hoo sakta hai ki kisi chuhe ne wiring cut kar di hoo usske wajay se apka meter aur speed reading nhi aa rha hoo , ap deekhna ek black color ka wire jaata hai neeche front wheel me left hand side se .. ussme neeche sensor laga hota hai , ussko bhi clean karwa lena and make sure ki uss wire me cuts na hoo .. hopefully apke gadi me ye sab check karne se apka ye sab problem theek hoo jaayegaa aur agar apko electronics ka idea nhi hai toh kisi aache machanic ko dikha lena bhar jisko wiring ka thoda theek thaak knowledge hoo i feel 100 se 150 me araam se apke sab wiring issue theek kar dega

Reliability is actually very strong on this engine , its just there are certain things which you need to take of time to time .. and this baby will never disappoint you .. i can assure you that because its me 6th year owning this bike and not once it gave me a hiccup inpast 6yrs which would have left me stranded somewhere 😊😎

Bhai mere pass cbz extreme hai , jab me usko start karta hoon tab uski automatic race badhane ki aavaj aati hai, aur clutch dabane se bhi aavaj aati hai
clutch adjust karwao aur check karwa lo kahi ander kuch loose toh nhi hai .. baaki jo race badh ja rha hai usle liye apke bike ka carburetor ko adjust karwao aur choke cable ko check karo ki kahi vo jammed toh nhi hai open position pe .. because agar choke open position pe jam hoga toh bhi apka engine ka rpm starting pe zaada hoo sakta hai

Bhai Honda shine ka engine bauth hi senstive hota hai , rocker timings pe , make sure ki apka machnic feeler guage ko use kar ke apne rocker ka clearance set kare , tab hi apko aacha performance milegaa.
Baaki bhai tension na lo , bas setting waala baat hai i feel agar apne saare parts change karwa hi diye hain
