- Terraria 1.3.0.7, Farms the full loop of the Cultists then the 4 pillars and then the Moon Lord with no player input along the way (Expert mode too!). No heart statues, buffs or potions used. Full loop takes approximately 16m 25s realtime. Explanation video will come later (when I can get a mic probably).

I have trouble beating pre hardmode bosses and this guy afks the final boss
boratfromkazax lol kill the worm/brain with gold/platinum armor and get the pick then mine iron then make buckets then build 2 extremely large liquid tanks and fill them with water and lava then make a small tube between them and then mine the black blocks that appear then make obsidian skulls sell them and start mining the black blocks again then mine hell stone and make molten armor get the start cannon and kill wall of flesh then get adamantite/titanium armor and kill the eye and naw kill the hardmode bosses
***** making a farm is harder than mining
+sheep games the eater of worlds and brain of Cthulhu can be beaten pretty easily with the respective armors and swords for the biome (ebonwood for corruption, shadewood for crimson). No need to mine anything before that, you can jump straight from wood armor and weapons to shadow/crimson.

All buffs are removed every tick;
All regeneration accessories are disabled, even the passive health regeneration;
1 hour long potion sickness since the start of the fight;
All wires, timers, switches and teleporters are disabled.
Rod of discord debuff is constantly being applied while moon lord is alive.

hypersonicguy Redstone wiring is a lot easier imo, in terraria you are very limited in wiring tools so you have to come up with creative ways to make things work.
blackshadowwind the wiring is indeed easier and with pistons and command blocks 0_0 (worlds upon worlds of possibilities are opened). but it is amazing what some people can do (you included ;) ) with what little they are given in terraria. it adds a level of creativity that i love, and while minecraft does a lot of things better because of it being a 3D game, i like what is done in terraria more despite the fact that it is a 2D game.
seriously what would the purpose be of an afk wither farm (nether stars would be easier to obtain, silly me :P)? there is barely any fighting in minecraft as is, a little challenge can't hurt :P.

hypersonicguy Actually redstone is better. Redstone has built in logic operators, in terraria you need to use entities or other tricks to accomplish this. But that doesn't mean that you can't create something awesome in terraria, too.
I really really hope, that the terraria wiring update (1.3.1) will add logic operators. It makes everything much easier and better.

This is amazing I've seen people farm bosses for loot before in games but I have never seen anyone farm the final boss in a game before this is absolutely amazing.

I thought the pillar spawns were in random areas on your world, how did you get it so they always spawned in the same place?

And its not the Lunatic Cultist that are evil! You kill the dudes that are not killing you if you dont try to kill them! The terrarians are evil!
I downloaded the map, but all it does is tp me to the cultist spot from the cultist spot...then when it does tp me to the pillar farm it doesn't teleport me away( i waited 5 min)

Colt Eto I only gave the map download because lots of people always ask for it but I don't really want to help everyone step by step on how to use it. I'm sorry you'll just have to figure it out for yourself, if you do exactly what I do in the video it should work if it doesn't, well I probably can't help you.

Dude you're amazing. The only thing about this is if the Vortex Pillar is last the Stardust Dragon can finish the job very very quickly and Moon Lord will spawn and destroy you. But still this is an amazing job. Nice work. Wire on! ;)

Pretty damn ingenious.
You can call it cheating, but it takes some skill to create these. The actual building process is what I love about Terraria.
Update: Moon Lord beam now passes though blocks, Stardust Dragon can attack but not see enemies through blocks.

the moon lord beam will never go through blocks, because if it did it would be next to impossible to beat the moon lord without teleporters. the beam does about 200 damage even with the best armor.

Wolf Edmunds correction: "teleporting" instead of "teleporters." And plus RoD is annoying as hell to get and is basically cheesing it. What I'm saying is that it shouldn't be next to impossible to beat moon lord with normal movement, which should definitely be possible.

+Luis Ricardo Gallego Tercero (Richie) I made a guide for the moonlord arena, the pillar farms aren't really practical to build though. I did put a guide on steam for the pillar farms as well though.
The part with the freakin speed 8x watching the pillars getting Farmed by just standing there seeing you character in the middle, looks so trippy, its like other videos ive where you get high and you see rainbow colors everywhere and things get so trippy,
Also this farm would take ages to finish!

do you always get the pillar in the exact position? In my friend's area the 1st pillar can go to 3 different places (underground, uphill and just the surface)

Idk Re-Logic, is this how you wanted us to kill the Moon Lord? It's not like we WANT to break the game, but you made the farming process so boring and tedious. I mean, it's really only the towers that take way too fucking long to get through, god forbid i die at the Moon Lord and have to do it all over again.

+Thomas Becker but yoou can only kill him like two times? until you have to go through all of it again, and the fragments used in the summoning item are needed in the armor/weapons aswell
it's just that you have to kill 100 (150 expert) enemies for every tower...
and there are only about five enemies for each, so it's getting boring REALLY quick. the enemies arent even that challenging, they do kill you thou, especially in expert, so the death-times are a big part of this event too
well, it would even be enough if the amount you have to kill is halved just ONCE, it would really help to make this feel less like a chore
+Dieter Jürgen The process is fairly easy and quick even with pre-moon lord gear. This AFK farm takes 16 minutes with just the star dust dragon, I didn't time my runs but it's roughly 10 minutes per run, preparations aside. If you think killing 150 enemies takes too long just bring a water candle or put some lihzahrd bricks where the pillars are at.

honestly i am kinda surprised at how many "farms" there are available for a game that really doesnt require all that many kills to get all the drops lol.
i mean, most things are like 10% and the most rare stuff is almost always 1% or higher. Its funny cause i used to play ragnarok, and that was a game where farming .05% drops was considered farming lol.
I had a friend that literally killed more monsters than hours he had been alive at the time. It was literally hundreds of thousands (ragnarok 1)
