As a console player this is a big issue to me. I hope they permanently ban them. My squad all think I'm crazy when I say to them that I think a certain player is using mouse and keyboard but I can tell that something's off, same as when someone uses an aimbot
@@theowl415it’s not just the Cronus, you can tell when someone uses mouse and keyboard. Just spectate after a sus player takes you out. They’ll do movements you simply can’t do with controller. Another huge give away is when you see people running and they do this fast tea bagging motion and they’ll do the fast tea bag walking sideways there is no way in controller to replicate that movement I’ve tried.

@@theowl415no, thats not what it is at all. A cronus is a 3rd party device originally designed to help disabled people use computers easier. Cheaters found a way to adapt it so you could get around the console restriction preventing use of Mouse and Keyboard. Please don't spread misinformation. Strikepacks can be used to enable virtually non existent recoil, but there is no such thing as laser beam bullets on console. Watch the video he explains exactly what it is.
You can tell a mile off if they are using keyboard and mouse! Just watch their movements and aim! Makes it look sus as F ie cheats! But it's mouse controlled aim! Which everyone knows is easy to control.
It was already known to be unauthorized, but the platforms themselves allowed for other uses - so Krafton/PUBG couldn't do much cause of this third-party allowance in other applications (at least that is what I've read, I could be wrong here)
Console ban you mentioned (not being able to connect to PS network) makes 0 sense and there's no way Krafton could make Sony do something like that, for numerous reasons lol. Worst case scenario, you can get perma ban on PUBG.
Great news! I hope they're actually able to make it work. I'd like to see an escalating ban period -- 48 hours on 1st offense, 1 week on 2nd, 2 weeks on 3rd, and at some point a permanent ban.
Easy way to spot M&K on console is by watching movement. Theres things a controller just cant do. The sprint, squat, strafe tactic. May not be the best description, but if you see it, you know immediately they are M&K
You can do that on a controller though, you just let go of everything and hit circle while sprinting then go again. I don’t do it cause it’s a pain in the ass but you can do it. Best way to tell is how swipey the movement is.
So the problem with this is it’s a free to play game. People just create a new account and all of the sudden a gold 500 player gets done up by a bronze 12. Ban the console, not the player tag.
And pubg delete controller support on pc(steam), it nearly 3 weeks i cant play pubg cause im not MnK player, yeah im not regret/ miss my ps4 that i sold to play on pc but, this is my number 1 game that i want to play, just play casualy, spend couple hours at night, feels like its the game that i love and i hade it the most
So it sounds like you can use controller on PC in the latest update but you have to use high precision camera/aim mode and then make your own programming for the controller for W (move) and S (stop) in vehicles and then you have to still use keyboard for dropping out of planes and parachuting

Tier 1 players obliterating me sometimes. Yet have 400+ avg. damage on console (which is good on console). when I peek their profile. I understood a big problem/reason for the delay was the issue of accessibility. They have to allow people with a disability to use adaptive devices who aren’t able to use a traditional controller or keyboard/mouse. I’m curious how effective their detection method will be here. And considering this lines up perfectly with the recent issue of controllers not working on PC, seemingly for no reason, it doesn’t look great 🤷🏽♂️

There have been plenty of games in the past that were able to automatically ban players based on input speed so that if they turned faster than was capable with a controller, they were banned. Pubg has never seemed to do this for console. They could even use data from PC playerd to create detection of how m&k works for pubg vs. controller and again be able to autoban. Most likely, this is just another attempt to try and win back players or stop losing players by claiming they are doing something. It's very easy for someone in marketing to write a release like this that ultimately means nothing. 'Increasing punishment' soooo an extra 1 min of being banned? Maybe they get kicked from a game? Or loose the silly sportmanship rank?
I remember playing Halo and you had the option to boot people who team killed you. How about they let the player base do the banning. They could have a notification when you die that says MNK detected and gives you the option to ban. Since they dont have the heart to ban cheaters let the legit player base do it!

they have to enable crossplay between platforms, based on input matchmaking. controller players will be paired with controller players both on pc and console at same time. in that way the playerbase will increase in all regions. Now people play PUBG on consoles at 120FPS where is the minimum framerate to play. input based matchmaking crossplay can be a viable option. that is my opinion. in that way isn't be cheating because keyboard\mouse players on console will be playing against PC players instead of controller console players.

I'm confused! Surely its the players choice of what input device they use? I see PC players using a controller. I only play PUBG on console and even then, very rarely at all as I'm generally useless as PUBG, I usually get killed by the Bots, let alone other players, but i have tried both K/M and controller. I found the game quite difficult to play on controller, and easier to navigate the functions on K/M. Is PUBG open platform? As if it is, why should console players be put against PC players who may have an advantage? Genuine questions, as i genuinely don't understand.

@@davescamera3672 they don't run them all the time because its likely to get you killed if you end up in CQC unexpectedly. Its called being a day 1 player on console and having experience. Using a scope to spray isn't a direct indicator of cheating, its a simple plain fact. Am I gonna laserbeam with it? No, but I'm certainly capable of killing within a full mag depending on distance. The only true way to tell is watching actual footage of their gameplay - ie not deathcam or spectating as these are inaccurate representations and do not show everything either. You can tell the difference between a mouse aim and a legitimate controller aim quite easily generally - for example, a thumbstick input will be less pinpoint accurate generally, and you'll see "stops" in their aiming when they let go of the stick to readjust their tracking, difficult to explain in text format but easy to see when you know what to look for. A mouse, in comparison will be much more "flicky" and you can tell when the mouse hits the edge of the mouse pad or their wrist has turned too far, forcing them to lift the mouse and reset to continue tracking - a controller has no need of this, because you simply keep the thumbstick held in the direction you want to track, there is no 'edge of mousepad' to hit. You ask for data, what kind of data? You're talking in very vague broad terms. PS just an FYI, I used to play shooters on PC heavily for over a decade, now I'm purely console due to being too broke for a PC lol. So I know what I'm talking about from both sides, and I've done my research on how the various ways to cheat function and are implemented, though have never and will never touch them directly. Google is a powerful tool, id urge you to learn how to use it properly and you'll find all the information you could ever need on the topic, it is out there and easily locatable. The cheaters in the world aren't too clever and don't do well hiding it generally - in fact they've had no reason to hide it up to now, given there was no real chance of getting banned or any other consequence where PUBG is concerned, so they tend to be stupidly blatant about it. There are entire discord servers dedicated to Strikepack anti recoil scripts for anything from PUBG, to CoD, R6S and more.

My buddy on PS was reported for teaming and got banned for 30 days. Even that it wasn’t his fault he jumped into an enemies vehicle with another random and killed the guy and got reported 😂 he got a medal for it
This is total BS, I know Microsoft has the APIs to detect this device’s for a couple years now but they decided not to use them. Chronus was released on 2013. I have never seen a bann on consoles, never, I’m on EU region, know ppl that has been cheating on Pubg since release, never got banned, not a single day, even ppl that were seen streaming on twitch, playing Pubg Xbox with Mnk are still playing today, this an insult to any legit pub console player out there. I got banned for 100 years this morning for having a usb stick in my ps5 . Was playing all the years with controler. It can only be the usb stick that caused it. But its a cheap usb data stick that i tried for more space but it didnt work. But i never took it out

Console doesn't have access to wall hacks, the only way true hacks were ever possible were with Jailbroken PS4s, which to my knowledge there were only ever one or two of these due to the cost and technical difficulty involved, and so they were stomped out quite quickly. MnK is not that rampant on Console NA servers. Does it exist? Yes. But it pales in comparison to the use of Cronus and Strike Pack. Until those devices are banned, PUBG will be a game littered with cheaters, and the remaining legit players will continue to leave because there is no confidence that they were killed by legit players or cheaters. It's the "unknown cheating" factor that is the problem.

Microsoft can 'brick' consoles easily if they are inclinded to do so. I remember Halo being exploited and consoles being bricked over 10 years ago. Average sniper should look at the Chronus knee-slide expolit thats rife on PUBG console. A combination of buttons have to be pressed, all at the same time to trigger it, impossible by hand alone, and yet there are guys sliding around and shooting in every match. I challenge cheaeters and get the usual 'get gud' or 'just practice' but when i ask them to send me a clip of how to slide, or a link on how to it never comes, because they're cheating, they know it, we know it, everyone knows it.
Remove the mouse players, and you’ll still complain. The game is 100 times easier now than it used to be - there’s smooth 60 FPS, and you can clearly see some kind of aim-assist slowdown. I don’t care if someone plays with a mouse, as long as these are public matches, not tournaments for money
I never thought cheating was possible on console until I got to Platinum in ranked. The slide cancel movement I see people doing makes footstep audio confusing. I feel like fkery has become more rampant of late.
as with a lot of the complaints towards pubg, i think they are all copium .. i play fortnite regularly where crossplay between all types of controllers & pc is available. same with warzone. pubg players should stop focusing on exterior reasons for why they aren’t seeing better personal performance & train their game sense & aim more often without blaming 10 different reasons as to why they don’t win.

Always enjoy your content. I hope this is true. I'm strictly a console player and was a die hard pubg player up until a year ago. Have not played it since. Might actually try playing again.
There have been plenty of games in the past that were able to automatically ban players based on input speed so that if they turned faster than was capable with a controller, they were banned. Pubg has never seemed to do this for console. They could even use data from PC playerd to create detection of how m&k works for pubg vs. controller and again be able to autoban.
Most likely, this is just another attempt to try and win back players or stop losing players by claiming they are doing something.
It's very easy for someone in marketing to write a release like this that ultimately means nothing. 'Increasing punishment' soooo an extra 1 min of being banned? Maybe they get kicked from a game? Or loose the silly sportmanship rank?
ReaSnow S1 users won't be worried. New firmware has been released, which fix the issue.
I remember playing Halo and you had the option to boot people who team killed you. How about they let the player base do the banning. They could have a notification when you die that says MNK detected and gives you the option to ban. Since they dont have the heart to ban cheaters let the legit player base do it!

Yeeeo now it starting to make more sense as to how sweaty on pc levels this game has been on console ALL OF A SUDDEN because I’ve been playing console since the play test beta back in end of 2017 when you had to pay 20$ for it, these past couple of months of notices a spike in competition (which I don’t mind because I don’t want to play bots) however I’ve been killed in very awkward ways that now that I realize could only explain it being a mouse and keyboard user on console which I didn’t even realize could be a thing(FOR PUBG ON CONSOLE) I knew people could do it for Fortnite but I didn’t know pubg LOL

CONSOLE IS NOT BUILT SPECIFICALLY FOR CONTROLLER
Console has supported mnk natively since 2018 (before that if you want to get technical) the Dreamcast console had mnk support as well.

This is what it really boils down to, it's not about advantage or anything like that. Developers for console have been providing less support vs their pc counterparts not because of the hardware limitations but because they are doing less work for the same profit
PubG console for instance CAN have soooo many settings added from pc but they don't do it because they're still getting paid for it

It’s kinda of a little too late for this. There’s a lot of people that moved on from this game including myself because of all the cheating.
Its matter of time, no gaming mouse/keyboard/dgpu allowed in game due to ppl using ordinary non gaming device and losing due to unfair advantage.
For me, just use whatever it feels comfortable. Mouse keyboard thing is legal, hacking is illegal. Simple as that. Some are good in key/mouse, some are good in controller. Complicating rules kills the game.
Pubg isn’t banning people at all using mouse and keyboard. They said October 2023 they were gonna do something. They didn’t this is bs they say this to keep console players playing. Cause it’s dying on console. That’s why they merged the servers, then everyone’s ping went to shit so they’re separating the servers again. They don’t care. They care about money.

they have to enable crossplay between platforms, based on input matchmaking. controller players will be paired with controller players both on pc and console at same time. in that way the playerbase will increase in all regions. Now people play PUBG on consoles at 120FPS where is the minimum framerate to play. input based matchmaking crossplay can be a viable option. that is my opinion. in that way isn't be cheating because keyboard\mouse players on console will be playing against PC players instead of controller console players.

Surely its the players choice of what input device they use? I see PC players using a controller. I only play PUBG on console and even then, very rarely at all as I'm generally useless as PUBG, I usually get killed by the Bots, let alone other players, but i have tried both K/M and controller. I found the game quite difficult to play on controller, and easier to navigate the functions on K/M.
Is PUBG open platform? As if it is, why should console players be put against PC players who may have an advantage?

@Helikaeon I watch a lot of streamers both on console and PC. Not even the pros are running 6x on ARs full auto spray. If it was the meta load out I'd see it on stream more. And how do you know what people are using? Do you have any data on this? Or just opinion?

Its called being a day 1 player on console and having experience.
Using a scope to spray isn't a direct indicator of cheating, its a simple plain fact. Am I gonna laserbeam with it? No, but I'm certainly capable of killing within a full mag depending on distance.
The only true way to tell is watching actual footage of their gameplay - ie not deathcam or spectating as these are inaccurate representations and do not show everything either.
You can tell the difference between a mouse aim and a legitimate controller aim quite easily generally - for example, a thumbstick input will be less pinpoint accurate generally, and you'll see "stops" in their aiming when they let go of the stick to readjust their tracking, difficult to explain in text format but easy to see when you know what to look for. A mouse, in comparison will be much more "flicky" and you can tell when the mouse hits the edge of the mouse pad or their wrist has turned too far, forcing them to lift the mouse and reset to continue tracking - a controller has no need of this, because you simply keep the thumbstick held in the direction you want to track, there is no 'edge of mousepad' to hit.
You ask for data, what kind of data? You're talking in very vague broad terms.
PS just an FYI, I used to play shooters on PC heavily for over a decade, now I'm purely console due to being too broke for a PC lol. So I know what I'm talking about from both sides, and I've done my research on how the various ways to cheat function and are implemented, though have never and will never touch them directly.
Google is a powerful tool, id urge you to learn how to use it properly and you'll find all the information you could ever need on the topic, it is out there and easily locatable. The cheaters in the world aren't too clever and don't do well hiding it generally - in fact they've had no reason to hide it up to now, given there was no real chance of getting banned or any other consequence where PUBG is concerned, so they tend to be stupidly blatant about it. There are entire discord servers dedicated to Strikepack anti recoil scripts for anything from PUBG, to CoD, R6S and more.

I play Hunt showdown and that game doesnt have aimassist on console and People who play with K&M have massive advantage over joystik.

My buddy on PS was reported for teaming and got banned for 30 days. Even that it wasn’t his fault he jumped into an enemies vehicle with another random and killed the guy and got reported 😂 he got a medal for it

This is total BS, I know Microsoft has the APIs to detect this device’s for a couple years now but they decided not to use them. Chronus was released on 2013. I have never seen a bann on consoles, never, I’m on EU region, know ppl that has been cheating on Pubg since release, never got banned, not a single day, even ppl that were seen streaming on twitch, playing Pubg Xbox with Mnk are still playing today, this an insult to any legit pub console player out there. Even more pathetic is when lag switch was a thing, I know people that got to master using it, don’t get fooled by this company, cheaters are the golden chickens,they want that money, do you really think they will bann them? Not a single day, I wasted time clipping, editing and contacting the support, then shield and nobody ever got a single day bann, not even the obvious lag switcher abusers. You just have to dig a little bit on RUclips, Discord and Reddit you’ll find them all in there selling their scripts and their settings, this is what I said another Krafton popping on their console community laughing at us.

I got banned for 100 years this morning for having a usb stick in my ps5 . Was playing all the years with controler. It can only be the usb stick that caused it. But its a cheap usb data stick that i tried for more space but it didnt work. But i never took it out

On PC, almost all will be playing with MnK. Using that on console is a massive advantage with aim over a controller. As far as an advantage on console, you have a much greater chance of winning

Console doesn't have access to wall hacks, the only way true hacks were ever possible were with Jailbroken PS4s, which to my knowledge there were only ever one or two of these due to the cost and technical difficulty involved, and so they were stomped out quite quickly.
As for Cronus* users, this is exactly what is discussed in the video.

Mouse and keyboard and the Cronus with the "Beam" script ruined this game.
MnK is not that rampant on Console NA servers. Does it exist? Yes. But it pales in comparison to the use of Cronus and Strike Pack. Until those devices are banned, PUBG will be a game littered with cheaters, and the remaining legit players will continue to leave because there is no confidence that they were killed by legit players or cheaters. It's the "unknown cheating" factor that is the problem.

Microsoft can 'brick' consoles easily if they are inclinded to do so. I remember Halo being exploited and consoles being bricked over 10 years ago. I hope this happens, as I feel a time ban is nothing to a scumbag cheater. Surely Krafton can simply look at input time and use algorithms to insta-ban accounts. Average sniper should look at the Chronus knee-slide expolit thats rife on PUBG console. A combination of buttons have to be pressed, all at the same time to trigger it, impossible by hand alone, and yet there are guys sliding around and shooting in every match. I challenge cheaeters and get the usual 'get gud' or 'just practice' but when i ask them to send me a clip of how to slide, or a link on how to it never comes, because they're cheating, they know it, we know it, everyone knows it.

Remove the mouse players, and you’ll still complain. The game is 100 times easier now than it used to be - there’s smooth 60 FPS, and you can clearly see some kind of aim-assist slowdown. I don’t care if someone plays with a mouse, as long as these are public matches, not tournaments for money
I never thought cheating was possible on console until I got to Platinum in ranked. The slide cancel movement I see people doing makes footstep audio confusing. I feel like fkery has become more rampant of late.
as with a lot of the complaints towards pubg, i think they are all copium .. i play fortnite regularly where crossplay between all types of controllers & pc is available. same with warzone. pubg players should stop focusing on exterior reasons for why they aren’t seeing better personal performance & train their game sense & aim more often without blaming 10 different reasons as to why they don’t win.
