I have seen debates online about if the oil filled radiator saves electricity compared to without oil. Some argue that since a heater converts all electricity into heat, oil filled heaters will consume the same amount of energy as any other type of heater. This has kept my family from investing into a oil radiator heater as we are not sure if there will be any substantial energy savings.
Any electrical device is 100% efficient at turning electricity into heat. Even the light from a lightbulb turns into heat when it’s absorbed by the walls.
Your window rubber seals might be worn out causing cold air to come in to the conservatory resulting in major heat loss, check your glazing rubber seal for water build up or black mould around the locking mechanism of the windows it's a sign of heat leaking out and increasing your gas and electric bills
Goodness me! I bought one of these in February 2020 when my boiler broke down. It was £52. RRP (before Black Friday deal) is now £118. For those looking to buy one, this has served me well since the massive electricity price hikes. Used my Anker power station (Power House 1229wh) which lasted 24 hours before needing to be recharged by solar. Bit of a chore but in a conservatory the solar panels work well to trickle charge. Used a smaller Anker power bank for electric blanket and light at bedtime. Those standing charges though! 🤣
Good video. I'm becoming an expert in domestic electrical appliances.

The most efficient electric heaters do a different job.
i love that dark green color

Yes i agree. It was a rental house i was in where i had this conservatory and the landlord is now sorting it, i'm in a new house so not my issue now 😊
I think the Oil filled heater is great. Takes a few minutes to get the heat going. The heater is very quiet.
....thanks for the video. Can I walk into a shop and by Pelonis? I have only seen online sellers? What shops sell them?
Must admit i haven't seen any shops selling them, they are mainly sold online

I think so. Oil radiator is a must have for me this winter
best explain and its like watching OC RUclips channels thank you
Does it consume much electricity & how long till next oil refill?
Thanks.
These are very energy efficient and because they are a sealed unit, the oil never needs topping up.
This actually looks good. Why don’t they sell it in the US. All the ones here are ugly.
11 fins or 13??
I paused the video and counted for your pleasure. 13. I hope sir is satisfied.
Argos sell cheap convectors for less than £30.
Just stop oil
Stay cold then, muppet.
