It's a shame Dean was miserable with Lisa because he thought Sam was in hell. But just as Sam's back and Dean can finally have some peace of mind, he wants to be with Sam again. Lisa was right, he can't be happy as long as Sam is in his life, but he also can't be happy if Sam isn't in his life. I guess you're just screwed when you love someone that much. There's no way in or out.
@@bobflame5679 It could be more to do with the bad luck from Bloody Mary as well having 14 years of bad luck from the shattered mirrors in that antique shop in 1x05 explains a lot and all the shit they have both been through in nearly 15 years. It wasn't all on Dean dragging Sam back into the hunting life in the Pilot. I think Jess would have still died even if Sam hadn't gone with Dean there was no way to avoid it unfortunately :/ as Sam wasn't in the possession of the colt or the Book of Solomon at that time to stop Brady from killing Jess to exorcise the demon out of him.

The writing for Sam in the first couple of episodes of season 8 was out of character any of the writers who know Sam's character inside out as well as Jared know he would never have left Dean in purgatory he would've looked for him not ditched him for a girl he was casually dating it didn't sit right with me lol. Madison was just a hookup and tragically that was not Dean's fault she was already cursed as a werewolf and couldn't be saved. Amy was Sam's childhood sweetheart and yes partly Dean did have some blame in her death but she was technically already a monster and she could have easily lost control of her urges and gone on a killing rampage so he thought he was saving her from this and Sam the heartache of her potentially going evil.

I wrote something ages ago that had the brothers end up getting separated due to a curse. They couldn't be within 20 feet of each other without feeling extreme pain. So they had no choice but to leave each other. Sam retired, married a woman named Lydia, and had four children, while Dean hooked up with another female hunter and hit the road with her, and they searched for the cure to the curse. And through the course of those years separated, Dean meets his nieces and nephews via videos and chats because he cannot be near them. They are apart but together still and they make it work. And then it ended with an older Sam waking up to the sound of someone breaking into his house. He goes downstairs and someone tackles him, knocking him to the ground, and he hears "That was so easy I am almost embarrassed for you."
I really wish tours the end of the series they would’ve brought Ben back into the story. I feel like it would’ve been cool if she would’ve finally admitted that that was Dean Son. I guess she said that Ben wasn’t his son. But it would’ve been cool if somehow, they could’ve worked out a storyline where she finally Admitted she lied to him and that he was always his son. It would’ve been cool to see Ben as an adult and carrying on his dad’s legacy.
They loved eachother so fucking much. I show this to my partner to try and convey how I feel about her. She AND Ben meant everything to him, I would say on par, maybe even more so, with Sam.
I always wondered if dean just never really felt comfortable with Lisa and Ben like he was constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop and when Sam came back it was like his way out of it and he used it as an excuse. Idk Dean just seems to see himself as a hunter and he tried to be someone else because sam asked him too but with Sam back he didn’t have to uphold that deal anymore
Yeah absolutely. He was raised to be a hunter, He never had a proper apple pie life he was treated and was force to be a soldier. He never cared about himself or his needs. All he has in his head is take care or Sam and hunt evil sons of bitches down. That was his motto. Now he's gone he can be finally proud of the accomplishments he has done. He can finally rest, not have to worry about his little brother being alone. Sam had a family a life that he always wanted, what dean always wanted for Sam. This is why I love Dean. He will always he my favorite character
If u look at the dynamic of this scene, it almost doesn’t make sense. He doesn’t want to leave because he wants to protect them, but then he also wants to be with his brother. And when Lisa gives the go ahead to him, he just dips. It shows me that he wasn’t torn between keeping them safe and being with Sam, but that he wants to respect Lisa and be responsible for his family. If he really thought they were in danger, he’d never think of leaving. He did. Which means he didn’t think they were in danger. He was just waiting for her to do this. 💕 Because he’d never force it on her.
The only reason they'd be put in danger is if he stayed with them and didn't have insight into the hunt. Sam was back, which suddenly put them at more risk since he knew where they lived (the information could be leaked to a evil supernatural being). The best decision was for Dean to be out on the road so he could at least know what potential evil was coming.
