I had a water pump shaft break and fan bust the radiator on my 89 last night, so I ordered that same one. Luckily, I was inside the truck because it did some damage.

I have to replace my radiator on my 1989 5.7 suburban and considering electric fan upgrade. I'm always hesitant to go electric as Im an analog caveman. haha. someone else on youtube said alternator power might be an issue with these fans. Especially when using AC. Any issues on your end? I could replace my alternator anyways, but if I don't have to spend the money I could wait. haha. helpful video. Cheers
So you have to flip that switch basically every time you turn the truck on to have the fans going? I just installed a mishimoto dual electric fan set up and had a temperature sensor im trying to figure out where to put it
Ryan you a jack of all trades good for you!great job😁
Feels good, don't it? You should be very proud of yourself. Great job.😊
Thanks!
For someone who didn't know what he was doing, you did some genius work there. Pat yourself on the back if you haven't already. 👍❤️

Good job Ryan
Great Job Ryan, But.. make sure you shut off the fan switch when you shut off the truck, or you'll have dead battery .
Nice i would move the ground to a true ground. Good info.
Did the same on mine. Radiator was great… but the fans only lasted a few months and burnt up in the heat of the summer

Love the square body’s
They rock
Well done sir.....
1 year later, how about a long term review really quick? Still working or did you go back or did you replace with a different electric fan?
When you said it gets really hot I thought you were gonna say 100-120 lol. Nice video!
LOL I dont tank Ryan would be able to make it in a place that hot!
@@RyanandPam yea here in az that’s hot
Nice work!
Nice video! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
@@RyanandPam just bought my 2nd 70s square body, and I’m gonna need to run electric fans lmao

Just don’t sell it to anybody named whistling diesel
I got the same one and the brackets are too high to hold it in and the radiator is a little too short. How did you fit it in?
why so few videos..hardly ever have youtube send me one and when they do their so short..missing you/pam and ryan jr. :)
Should wire the switch to keyed power and just leave it on... would suck to forget to flip the switch, ask me how I know!! 😅😅
No biggie. You can hear the fans very obviously when engine is off
@@RyanandPam haha no, I mean when you forget to turn them ON and you overheat!

Exactly
hook it up to the temperature sensor that reads to gauge inside
