Omg im in the video 🤣 me and my brothers are stood at the info stall at 5:35. Im the girl with the crutch, black heir and floral backpack. Lol had no idea id been caught on a vlog
@@TomandStace I shour did! At the baggining of the video you mention Jo Hampshire and that shes the creater and founder of WGW, that is true bus shes not atchaly been the one organising and putting on the event for close to 8 years now. The person who does all that is atchaly somone you walked passed in the Bazaar Bazaar. The woman behind the Info stand with the red and black heir, Jo Magenta, shes the one that puts on all the markets and also the DJ nights at the Abbey Wharf during WGW
Great footage. Love this town. I see you caught that famous author Alistair Lavers in the leisure centre. I only met him once, at a Horror event in NYC where he was speaking. Hope to get over to the UK again this Autumn for some shopping. The live bands line up is pretty good this fall.
We are not goths but we where visiting Scarborough and went to see the goths and we where very very impressed a lot of effort when into this wonderful attraction to Whitby greetings from Scotland 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
That was brilliant Tom and Stace, thanks so much for sharing that,I love Whitby and have always wanted to go to a Goth weekend but never have,I really will try and go to the October one, this was a fabulous look around everything I really enjoyed it,the weather was great for you too,Bram Stoker sat on a bench near where you were sat at the end and made notes for his novel Dracula, which he wrote up in his Whitby boarding house, and based it in Whitby where the ship Demeter ran aground and Dracula disguised as a black labrador ran up the 199 steps,I also love all the history,Captain Cook studied at Grape Lane next to where you had your chips, its a museum you can go in,and set sail from Whitby,I will definitely try that chippie next time, and I will look out for Stacey's hoodie in the October vlogs,my favourite vlogs of yours, thanks for the look around the stalls and around the town, absolutely loved it and great to see you both xxx
just got back from whitby today, we went just for Dracula, lots of people said it wasn't very good, but my Hammer Horror obsessed daughter loved it. we had a fab time. we are hoping to do goth weekend next spring... what h out for them seagulls, they will have the chips out ya hand 😂😂😂😂. I quite like em though. ❤🖤❤🖤❤🖤
I am so glad I watched this I am going for the first time ever this October.I’m so excited I’m a goth girl and can’t wait . I will hopefully be vlogging it on my own RUclips channel
That was my husband and I climbing the steps, he has the vampire leather jacket. We were on our way to the Brewery where the real goths go to escape all the dress ups. Don’t get me wrong, some of the costumes are well composed, we all don’t mind being ignored as we do not dress up and just look like this all the time and will make ourselves up when we fancy. Good vlog x
Hey im new to your channel hows it going loved this video and ive never been to whitby goth weekend i would love too at some point so thank you for this ❤️
Oh no I can't believe I missed it! It was 2019 the last time I went too and was just saying last week how I want to go again. I should have looked up the dates and I could have gone lol. Thanks for sharing though! It means I didn't miss it completely ^_^
Only ever been to whitby once. Not sure this event is my cup of tea. Deffo would eat some nice fish n chips on the seafront. Is it normal to take extra mayonnaise to the coast😂.roll on usa.
If you love horror there’s a horror convention in Manchester called for the love of horror , this year it’s on from 22nd October to 23rd October , you’d love it
You are lucky if you can find a real goth at WGW these days,as its all people in costumes, photographers, aand people who go to watch the people in costumes.its changed completely from what it used to be.a large percentage of attendees could not name a single goth song.hey ho,everything changes and luckily for actual goths there are other and better events.
@@TomandStace yeah it was the best!!! I heard field of the nephlin played there, I wasn’t allowed to go but it was really fun still!! I found some great the cure and gene loves Jezebel singles ^^

Eyy I was there for my first time this year 🖤
I have camped inside the abbey itself.
@@TomandStace it is an open and airy place, the wind blows in eddies through the abbey so the campfire was fascinating to watch.

I thought the whole point of goth was to be yourself and non judgemental? I love goth clothes and image but prefer thrash metal x
