If you spend a lot of time in a country you need a local SIM, that's right. Anyway, it doesn't have to be a “physical SIM”, as eSIMs are provided by many local mobile companies around the world. Aside that, great video as always.
Only issue I have is that I am planning to get the new iPhone and it does not have a physical SIM card spot anymore.....I do not like this, but I want to get the new phone that just came out. I am guessing I am stuck get an sim then correct?
Hi! I have checked reviews from some providers, and some of them say that certain providers provide a very slow service. For example, they connect to the slowest network (and thus cheaper) so it is a nightmare to navigate. Is there any way to know if a certain provider is going to do so? Or one very reliable provider that you recommend? Thanks!
Nice video and very good decisions especially mentioning the real sim. for germany if ur under 28 Gönn is a good e sim option with 3 free deals a year, and there is fraenk which is also a steal. these arent limited to german citizen so any traveler will profit from them
For me i think saily is the best because they have even lower prices than airalo and its fast as hell, but when i use airalo it puts me in a low priority and the soeed is not that good. So i recommend saily
Hi, great advice. We are doing a cruise that includes the west coast of africa, Maderia and then over to 5 of the carribean islands. I noticed that monito didn't have a Carribean option, just a selection of the islands. Would I need 2 plans? 1 for maderia and 1 for the carribean?
Hey mate. Firstly that sounds like a great cruise! I suspect you're going to need to get 2 plans, I had a quick look around and couldn't find an option that could cover you. Will you also need data on board your cruise? ^Jonny

I just recently switched to a talk and text plan with my provider to save money since I only average 2GB of data/month instead of paying for 20GB/month that I never even get close to using up. I switched to airalo 20GB global esim for my data plan valid for 1 year. I figure im going to save over 200 dollars a year, plus I can have data in 124 countries if I travel.
so do you still have to have a local provider as well or can you have only Airalo?

@@jellyfish-properties You don't have to have a local provider to use airalo. The airalo esim I got is data only. You can get an airalo esim with dsta, calls and text if you want, but it comes with a +43 number.
I just got a Holafly e-sim thanks to you ! So easy !
Thank you 🙏🏻 😘
You’re welcome 😊

No you're absolutely right, you can also get local eSIMs, I should have mentioned that too. Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed the video. ^Jonny

How does receiving phone calls to Europe from the US enter into these data plans? Or texting?

Thanks Tampsey! And thanks for sharing, Gönn looks interesting. Is it owned by T-Mobile? ^Jonny

Nomad Telecom versus Maya Telecom for Europe - 10 GB for a Family using it as Hotspot...its a tuff competition...Can you help ASAP ?
I am more concerned on the Network in Europe as that is not talked about in your Video ?
10GB shared between a family? Good Luck! Also I would just perchance a local SIM they are way cheaper plus they have EU roaming
Would you recommend maya for Europe?
I used one turkey, was good
I am going to use Maya for the UK next month. What was your experience with Maya?
Does holafly come with a us number that I can use for Uber
That will depend on the eSIM you purchase. ^Jonny
Which is best for in Ukraine?
Take a look at www.monito.com/en/esim ^Jonny
