- Odisha Forest Rangers College , Angul has been established in the year 1979 to impart training to the newly recruited Forest Ranger of Odisha and other state like Bihar,MP,J&K, Andaman & Nicobar Island, Assam, Mizoram, Arunachala Pradesh & Nagaland. Proximity of Odisha Forest Rangers College, Angul to Satkosia wildlife sanctuary and deep forest of Angul, Athmallik and Dhenkanal division within 40-50 km are helpful in imparting classroom training and field exposure simultaneously. The state run college is controlled by the Director, Forest Education, Dehradun in respect of all matters related to the course of studies and imparting training to the trainees. From 1979 to 1990, duration of the course was one year. Thereafter the duration of course was revised to two years and again as per Entrance and training Rules (Revised), 2004 duration of course was reduced to eighteen months only. The recent batch was passed out in sep 2019. The batch consists of 96 trainees. The videos is made by movie club of OFRC, Angul.
