For it's consistency and raw power...it may well be the best double album ever. White album has an incredible diversity..some great stuff...some good stuff and some of their worst. Blonde On Blonde is great, but does have a couple or 3 mediocrities...same with Quadrophenia,London's Calling, and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.I'm sure you could take any one of those six, and a pretty decent pct. would say that's the best double album ever.

This was the song that sealed my soon-to-be-wife's hand in marriage. I told her that I finally found a song which totally encapsulated my feelings for her and played it for her. I told her she plundered my soul and then fired this one up. We married shortly thereafter.

Well, while Jagger might not have got the girl in this instance, with just a little imagination and a turn of a phrase, he could have. I suppose for us it was about how despite someones flaws or what you thought the other person might desire about you, you are wrong.
Both about their flaws and their intentions. I guess for me, it was saying all the things I would, if she wouldn't be with me. That she has plundered my soul; a horribly wonderful concept.

Soon to be, huh? Walk right in, sit right down / daddy let yo mind roll . . . Good luck with that. Most of us learn about the soul-plundering . . . oh, about 20 years out. Or maybe seven. And you know going in. Eyes wide shut?

No song sums up better in music and lyrics then what I apparently missed over 32 years and one chick...it's not a good feeling, but this song goes along ways in resurrecting my heart!!

They ran out of time. It was crafted very late in the Exile sessions and they couldn't finish it before the record label's deadline. So it's not really an outtake. I'm surprised they didn't put it on Tattoo You though. Several of the songs on that album were outtakes and previously unfinished songs, including two that had Mick Taylor on it.

Exile on Main St....... my favourite album of all time, words really don't do it justice. And whilst I love love love love LOVE every single classic on that album, it was just so so special to hear this, to hear another song that just feels like Exile..... and just when i thought it was impossible to fall any more in love with Exile!!!!!
