30 year Electronics Tech here: The go-to part for temperature sensors is a 10K-ohm thermistor for this kind of sense range. They can fail due to humidity ingress as well the voltage divider feeding the microcontroller sense loop failing for any number of reasons. Oh... This is an older post. Regardless, I hope my info can help someone. The parts are cheap. I'll probably do some reverse engineering on my own C20 when I upgrade the fan.
@@blahblah8370 I wish the placement of the sensor was better. The compressor wouldn't have to cycle as much and the indicated temperature would reflect the actual temperature of the inside. Wild question: These units can take 12V or 24V and I converted mine to take 18V Ryobi power tool battery packs. I had to use a DC-DC converter for that because 18V was treated as too high for 12V mode and too low for 24V mode. I ended up feeding the system 30V, which it happily took. Do you think it would be helpful to make and post a video about this project to RUclips? It uses the very common (and dirt cheap) QSKJ boost converter module so literally anyone could do the same thing with any power tool battery.
@@fryode Agreed on the first part. I find hardware mods absolutely fascinating (sadly not a tech but I'm learning bit by bit), so yes I recommend making that video. It'll definitely be more useful than any videos of alpicool just drilling holes for no reason.
I had that code also, after driving 5 hrs with it on the floor of my van. I had it plugged into my jackery battery. I left it unplugged at my brothers house and when I got home, I plugged it into a wall outlet and it worked fine. I hope you were able to get yours working.
Refrigeration tech here. If anyone is interested, I can try to get a part number for that sensor. They fail constantly on everything, not just 12v fridges. I bet I know the part number already, just don't want to say without making sure I'm correct.
I have encountered(F3) this trouble,at this moment sir.I found out that the compressor motor is defective(u,v,w ) is open internal circuit is open/d..u/w with reading of 0.6ohm reading.u/v & v/w (had no resistance reading at all)
I have the same problem with mine (c22) now after a year. I left mine unplugged for A-day and then went back and plugged it in and still nothing. It's probably the temperature sensor like yours.
Mine did it after a year.. I'll get another brand. Alpicool as its chinese do not offer any help... Don't buy this fridge or don't expect it will work for a long time
@@Tyler-sv4sw I have the C45 cooler bought it couple months ago from Amazon. I’m a truck driver. It worked great for for a month but then I started seeing the F3 code on the lighted screen.

Thank you
@@blahblah8370 Was that thermistor the problem?
@@fryode haven't got to try yet. Thermistors coming in Friday. So hoping for the best!

I’d be interested in this since I just got a F3 code today

If you like Alpicool refrigerators and want to buy them, you can click here to enter: www.alpicool.cc/collections/frontpage/c-series
You better give us solution how to fix it
@@vakhtangsutidze yeah really, that's their solution buy another shitty one. Went to their website no parts, no help.
