The beanie wennies look delicious and I will be canning some on the next good canning day . Y’all have taught me to watch the calendar! Granny , I think the time of not having food will be here sooner than we think and I feel like you will see it come to pass . I know God takes care of us but I think he wants us to do our part as well. Love y’all and take good care of one another and have a blessed weekend.
I just found your channel....I want to do some canning this year!! I remember helping to can when I was a kid at my grandma's house....thank you so much for your channel!! May God bless you immensely in the years to come!!
Welcome! So glad you found us! We have almost 200 episodes. started as a little fun family project during Covid. And then we figured out that a lot of people didn’t know much about canning and wanted to learn so we kept going.
My husband loves Beenie weenies but likes variety so I will definitely be trying these with the smokie sausage. Who knows I might even eat them from homemade!
Loved this! Would be really interested in the plain version, too, if you have time! I agree that everyone should get back to the basics, especially with food. Some always have, but not enough are coming on board.
Hello, new subscriber here! I'm originally from NC, and both of my grandmas canned everything they could. I never learned how, but I agree that home canned foods beat store bought, every day of the week. I thought it would be interesting to learn how to can, even if I never get a chance to do do any actual canning myself. The part I'm lacking on is the pressure cooking. I've never used a pressure cooker, and I seem to remember being afraid of them growing up. I think I was always afraid they would explode, but I don't know why. Thanks for sharing your expertise, there are so many valuable things that will be lost to future generations without channels like yours.
Granny and I don't use a pressure canner but we can all our jars in the old way in a water bath canner. It's takes longer but with the same results. You can do. I have faith in you.thanks for watching..
A water.bath canner is the big blue canner with a wire lift that you fill with water a inch over top of jars, bring to a boil and let boil for recommended time. I personally think the flavor is better.
@@cindytate7616 That sounds much less terrifying! Home canning already tastes amazing, hard to believe it can taste even better. Thank you so much for taking the time to educate me!
The pressure canners they mam now are really alot safer. Useing the weight gage is easy and much safer. Thanks for watching and if i can help in anyway please let me know.
Pretty new to canning..but I've been canning stuff up like crazy for the past month or so. Food security is definitely top priority here lately with grocery prices going higher and higher.. Absolutely gonna give these a try. I love beanie weenies! Maybe I'll add a few onions to mine. Looks like a good recipe..Thank you!! 🇺🇸
Those beanie weenies look so good !!!! Do you know how long I would boil them in my canning pot without the weight on them? My pot doesn't have a weight... Thanks....
About 5 minutes. You are only letting air release , so if you dont have gage you can just bring up to 10 pounds and then start timeing. Sometimes i let air release and sometimes i dont. There is really no difference. Hope this helps . thanks for watching , Dixie
Welcome! We don’t always measure and just use what we have available. If you want to make larger jars, you can try doubling and see how many you can fill. He ate all these in about 3 weeks ha. Check out all the other videos on the channel and let us know what you think!

Hello
are you using 1/2 pints or pint jars
1/2 pints but you can use pints too. I use 1/2 pints because Ed takes them in his lunch
Aunt Cindy looked tired. Hope she is doing ok.
She has good days and not so good days
Were those dry beans or presoaked?
Dry, i just wash them and let them drain.
@@GrannyWomen Thank you
