I really appreciate your posting this video. I took my frame to a welding shop and had a new 1/2" quick attach plate welded on so the unit will hopefully stay on my skid steer; I took the bearing case to a machine shop to have 6 new hardened Allen screws added and to swap out the original 6 with hardened steel Allen head machine screws. Interestingly, there was no grease inside the bearing case at all - just a thin smearing of oil. Some of the parts inside also seemed to be scarred up as though they were salvaged from other machines. Many of the tapped holes were not deep enough for the Allen screws which would bottom out before getting tight. We drilled and tapped these shallow holes deeper to accommodate the various fasteners. I am just trying to make the machine safe as it apparently was not as delivered.

      Hows it working

I bought one of these as well and am in the middle of tearing down bearing carrier to add better grade bolts, torque properly and loctite before I have same issue.
I have removed motor ( 4 bolts ), top plate ( 6 allen head bolts ), large retaining nut, and removed 12 bolts holding plate to mulcher frame.
I am having difficulty removing spindle from bearings. any suggestions ? did you have to heat inner bearing races ? did you pound out spindle, or put in a press ?

Its been working pretty well other then the tooth holders are not held on well enough so have lost several teether including the holder. I started welding them on. Also the disc came right off once more as the retaining nut on the shaft loosened up.... But still using it and its the fastest chinese mulcher I have so far. I have 2 others..

How did you get the shaft separated from the bearing box case? I bought one and after seeing your video I am taking it apart to add the 6 more bolts to hold the thing together.ive got the retainer nut off but the shaft won’t come out of the bearing case?did I miss something?

Just bought one at auction myself. I will definitely get everything tightened up before using. Have you gotten everything back up and working properly?

We have it running yes. It takes more then tightening on mine... I had to add the extra bolts and reinforce the housing because they simply were not strong enough
