I've been updating my summer cloths lately, You are right about the darker colors it does draw heat, I just purchased a light blue suite and found it was way cooler to ware than my navy suite, still on the hunt for lighter color blazers. Keep up with the great videos!

I like my cargos. They're functional. They're great for your keys, phone etc. And they don't have to be long either. At or slightly above the knee when it comes to shorts. Im not wearing those 1970's ahort shorts 😂

Great stuff, My man. Just turned 62, and the wardrobe is definitely getting SERIOUS upgrades soon. On a side note, I went to a Walmart recently and saw EVERY SINGLE example of what NOT to wear!
For the record, I went there for cheap toiletries and some basic stuff, NOT clothing!
Man, when I go to Walmart sometimes I people watch to check out just how unstylish we have become. I think I can see every single style faux pas or style cliche everytime I go shopping at Walmart. Not so much Target 🤣. Only clothing I'd wear from either of those places would be underwear, pajamas, socks, or house shoes.

Walmart has a men’s line called Free Assembly that is actually very stylish and modern. You can use this line to see what current styles look right on you. Before spending money at like a Macy’s.

LOL! Cargo shorts and BBQ flip flops with a graphic T shirt have become cliche for American suburban "dad".
I especially hate the cargo shorts that have those ridiculous drawstrings at the leg openings.
The O.G. has some good advice for the mature guy that wants to be taken serious and get noticed from the crowd of cargo short guys!
Another banger video. Always waiting to see if I disagree with anything but I'm with it 100%. It surprises me how many people are oblivious to this but I digress. If I ever have to give fashion advice to another guy, now I don't have to spend a bunch of time, just point him to this channel and know he's in good hands.

Greetings from Tampa Florida . I completely agree with Mr O.G.. Having said that , it was 100 degrees here today ,and I had to run some errands . I wore my flip flops, a white tank top, and my shortest shorts ( not quite hoochie daddy, but close) when it's this hot outside it's about survival not fashion
Night time also changes dress codes and what you generally are in the mood to wear. This is the time when you can wear the more traditional formal colours in the summer. More now than in the past, you can find summer shirts with dark backgrounds that feature loud patterns or bright traditional checks in linen, viscose & rayon, and silk. Among the dressy summer shirts I wear are made of silk. Very dressy and perfect with linen and lightweight chino pants, also seersucker shorts. A good idea is to mainly wear spread necked open collar shirts preferably with the button and loop at the lapel. A lot of brands still unfortunately _only_ do the regular business shirt neck and collar (regardless of collar stays). Temperature going down at night means you can wear the more expensive stuff in your wardrobe because you sweat much less in general. With all that said, I never go without an undershirt because I don't plan on destroying my wardrobe nor being seeing with piss stains on my body and pits.

Salute, my Brother! Sandals and socks! I died laughing when you mentioned this because I STILL see brothers rocking that combination. When the weather gets hot, I pull out my linen sport coats with chinos or light colored shorts with pastel colored Polo t-shirts and I'm good to go. And you missed a no-no. No baseball cap on backwards with any outfit. Warm weather for me means Panama hat season!

I wear only shorts during the summer, way too hot not to where I live. I must confess I wear tank tops, but there all form fitted and in array of patterns and light colours. I guess thats one rule I have broken, but can't live without them in the summer. Great Vid.
As I understand it, dark colors, especially black and navy attract bugs. The best colors for repelling bugs is light blue and especially white. So not only do light colors look great in the summer, they're also functional.
The socks and sandals are a no go. Gotta agree OG

As for shorts, I think it also depends on body types (fuller legs, muscular, skinny eyc..) that accommodates the best for the type of shorts (longer or shorter).
Not all "Older" looks the same for every man. My age is older, but I cary it young still. So I dress accordingly within reason.
Yes I'm a sandle guy w/o socks..and I'm a tank top guy cuz its my personality and its comfortable to me while still tasteful, plus its HOT where I live and I'm hot easy😅💯

New subscriber. I agree with this list - it's perfect. Here in Czech Republic, it is known as a place where socks and sandals are worn. And yes, you see cute girls wearing them too ! Linen has been my big discovery in the past 2 years - great in the hot weather here. Here in Central Europe, it's very, very casual. But I follow the same rules as in the video, and have noticed that girls take more of an interest when you are well dressed, without being too flashy. And yes, as an air hostess that dated a friend of mine said, girls notice teeth and shoes.
My Mom always said women notice shoes, rings and wallets.

The shoes and the shorts can be hit and miss at times. The way schedules, themes and venues can change without notice. Sometimes I like to dressed in ready to go wear.
