This would be an awesome game mechanic. It should be a rare character though. I think making it use mechanics from other animatronics when you encounter it would be terrifying.

That would be awesome, and it would be like a cooler, rarer version of Golden Freddy (Who uses 5 different animatronic mechanics I think)
We ran into him in fnaf 9 when he was in the guise of a springtrap

Fun fact: the Mimic can't actually shapeshift, their Limbs can just contract and contort in order to fit into different animatronic suits in addition to being able to mimic sounds and voices.

Fact: the mimic is actually burntrap, if you see closely in the holes of the suit (i forgot what it is) it fits. the leg fits more perfectly.

THIS INS'T THE MIMIC BUT A CONCEPT
Basically, the mimic doens't look like burntrap endoskeleton, he can't transform but i can enter in suits and imite what he learned and listen like i did with gregory voice to trick cassie.

I just realised something, the mimic has the exact same endoskeleton as Afton.
Have you ever noticed the mimics endo looks a lot like burntraps. Maybe the mimic was part of the blob and the blob stripped afton of his shell and his flesh then connected himself to aftons endo.

Yes, because the mimic is burntrap's endoskeleton, but I don't know if it would be burntrap himself, like, he has part of his right ear missing like the burntrap.

Basically he looks like a endo skeleton of sprintrap or bonnie but magically transform into every animatronic and every endo skeleton in the games and series
He's the Endo of Burntrap and the Glitchtrap virus that mimics both human and animatronic behavior and can wear any costume.

He's a character in the books, he can't shape shift but he can fit into any animatronic suit as a disguise
If the mimic was like this in the Ruin DLC, I think it would be much more threatening

It’s because this is a fan model that was supposed to be what we imagined him looking like and this was released months before ruin came out
