Goddamn, I didn’t know you had that game design dog in you. You working on these games and making this video afterwards to summarize the whole experience is amazing. Looking forward to pt 2!
WHAT AN AMAZING VIDEO! I've seen some videos similar to this one, but the fact that you're doing this for school with groupmates that constantly change, presentations to prepare for, and feedback from other classmates makes the whole video so much more interesting and fun, adding so much more complexity to just making a new video game at home every week. I cannot wait for the next one. This is one of my favorite videos of yours. I hope this one blows up.
Next one might be a little farther off than I initially hoped (somewhere late January?) but I'm glad you're excited haha! Yeah this one was really fun to put together, it was a little different so seems like it didn't catch on quite as much as normal vids but I'm gonna try and make stuff like this every once in a while. Had a really good time with the whole process
Hey congrats on 10K subs!!!🥳 Oh man, this video really brought me back to my days in a game design course, especially the parts about teammates bailing or not doing their work. I had a group project in my first level design class where our programmer (literally the only one in the class iirc) kept on getting poached by other teams, and our artists were flakey as hell (except the guy who did the character models, he was solid). Long story short, the artists gave us all their assets at around 11:30pm the night before it was due, and basically said "see you at the presentation!" Needless to say, none of their textures were made or set up properly, and the artists were completely unreachable after that point. So me and the programmer had to pull an all-nighter on campus. He was implementing literally everything, while I was teaching myself how to do texture mapping and re-making the textures for the weapons, vehicles, and health/ammo pickups. Gas station food was consumed, mild food poisoning ensued, but somehow everything came together decently. The presentation went well and we got a good grade... all of us... we all got the same grade. Hahaha... haha... ha... 😐
"a rhythm game" oh no 😂 That might not be the best idea for a first game but that's a great start for the video. And it was a great video too! I've never had to do this from school but a lot of these stories felt familiar just with game jams. The messy rotations, messed up collisions, the game inexplicably working differently on the web version (tbf it's because game engine let you do some pretty messed up stuff, but still), even the technically better game that's less satisfying to you. Anyways that's all great stuff to hear, because even if a lot of people tend to talk about the game they make, it's rare to get the stories of relative failures (I'm saying this with a lot of respect). People usually already know enough and only share what they're really proud of, even when they change idea it end up being better somehow. Here you really get the struggles and that make for great stories, I'm excited to see the 2nd part!
Glad you liked the take on it! Yeah I wanted to actually explain how I was feeling/what I was thinking/how I fumbled my way through everything, cause it felt genuine to my experience. I feel like it's a more fun look into design for me personally, especially since I'm not the most experienced person out there. It was also just a fun storytelling exercise Pt 2 might be a while off just cause of scheduling problems but one of the weeks ended in a pretty interesting place that probably deserves its own video 👀
Your partner may not have had that dog in him, but you sure do
Great video, gotta respect your partner in the first one, if you don’t got that dog in you you don’t got that dog in you
He's a better man than me 😔

been watching you for time bro

Congrats on 10K subs! There's only more to go
Thank you! Yeah still a little surreal, it's a small number in the grand scheme of things but I'm real happy with it :)
this is one of the only few channels I'm subscribed to that get me excited when they post a new video, keep up the great work!

Bro u gotta make a part 2 this is so good cmon
End of this week :)
My favorite video of yours so far. Keep killin’ it bro! Can’t wait for part 2.
Also, what grades did you get? Just curious.
Thank you! I think I'm sitting at an A in the class (hard flex) but they take your best 3 prototypes so I'm sure some of these did worse than others
@@AsadAnjum Good job, bro! I like hearing about hard working people doing what they love. Keep that dog in ya!
he has that dog in him, he just needs to dig deeper 😞
Just waiting for the part2 you know why 🤣
LMAO
It's a good and lovely day when a notification of Asad Anjum's new video pops up on my phone. :)
I must ask, what is the game at 25:40, it looks so fun.
Bloodroots. And it is fun!
