Bir Billing - Beyond Paragliding | A Travel Documentary | Himachal Pradesh

- I travelled to Bir Billing a few months ago for a 10 day workation and I decided to film my complete travel experience there and capture the essence of travelling to Bir. In this video you will get to hear my travel story, experience the Himachali culture, the life story of the locals, other travellers, and you'll also get to know about what are some of the offbeat things to do in Bir besides Paragliding and places to visit.
We travelled to places near Bir, such as the Deer Park Institute, Matamaheshwari Temple, some cafes, tried out the local food i.e. Himachali Dham. We also explored some waterfalls near Bir and did some Treks and also went even further from Bir by doing a trek from Barot all the way up to the Rajgundha Valley. For this trip we stayed in Bir Zostel 2.0, and of course a trip to Bir wouldn't be complete without Paragliding so we also did the all famous Bir Billing Paragliding experience during a sunset.
We also visited a special artistic space in Bir that goes by the name of Kahani ki Dukaan (IG: @kahanikidukaan) where we heard some stories of the local people in a unique musical and theatrical way.
In this video I have tried to combine the style of a modern day vlog and documentary style video, so I hope you like this.
I was joined by my friend Yash for this trip (IG: @yashkaushal) who also has travelled to a lot of places before.

Im so glad you liked it, thanks a lot! For commuting you can rent a scooty or a bicycle and if you want to go somewhere distant there are a lot of cab/taxi services that you can find in the main market of Bir :)

Hey! This is a beautiful video! I'm planning to do a solo trip to Bir. Confused whether to go to Mcleodganj for the Triund Trek or do the Rajgundha Trek. What would you suggest? I did the Kashmir Great Lakes Trek this year so walking isn't an issue.
Hey, thank you! The Rajgundha Trek is more of a trail and a very short trek, so it wouldn't be fair to compare it to the Triund Trek. Bir + Rajgundha is a good combination for a light adventure plus chilling while on the other hand Triund is a proper long trek where you can do camping too!

Thank you! For treks you can ask around at your accomodation since they have contacts or you can visit the local market and you'll find a lot of travel agencies that can help you out! :)
