I love it when creators understand that tutorials don't have to be 30 minutes long and include their whole life story. Thank you so much 🧡
Happy to help!
Agreed!!!! Especially for beginners like me who is just starting out and is overwhelmed with tons of tutorials. i just need to solve a problem fast as I have only so much time to learn, apply and execute. I need to reduce my time to do other stuffs like research, generate scripts, images, vids and etc. Sometimes I forgot how to do it and i just come here and get a refresher FAST! Thanks DB for the shorts which really helps people like me. Keep on producing them. Am launching 2 channels tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Absolutely. And if someone needs more information they then could look it up in a more detailed video
Here I am using keyframes like a sucker. Resolve giving us 20 ways to do something
So true. But that keyframe knowledge it’s dividends. It’s useful across the boards
This is quite literally the perfect tutorial. Explains the tool in ~35 seconds flat, clear, easy to understand and straight to the point. Thank you 🙌
You’re welcome! 🤘
Such great DVR tips videos from ya. 🔥 🎯 thanks a million!
You’re very welcome, my friend! 😀
Dude! I didn’t know we could edit it like that?! 😮😮😮😮
The cool thing about Resolve is they give you more than one way to accomplish similar tasks, depending on your own project needs.
I love that 😁
thank you Dan for speeding up my workflow.
Looks like a beautiful drone shot. Most likely a DJI product doing an active tracking. It’s awesome how you can work your PPK on Davinci.
Great. I’ve always used with the default or key framed it. This will save so much time. Ive been using resolve for almost 5 years and it’s apparent I need to explore so much more.
Glad this helped a bit!
Good job, Daniel!
Thanks!
I was looking for that for hrs, just randomly found it in 10 seconds. Thanks my friend
Perfection
This is brilliant. Hadn't used this for a while and just needed a quick reminder. This is succinct and super useful. Thank you.
idea bulbs going off left and right for me thanks Daniel !
oh amazing! have been looking for something like this for a long time. Thanks!
That was sick I never knew. Thank you! 🥰
Lots of hidden features in Resolve 🙂
Never thought it was that easy, thanks brother!
This one doesn’t give you as much control as the keyframed zooms but it’s awesome for fast editing with simple in/out, left/right motions.
@@Daniel_Batal yeah you're right!
Only video I've seen of yours, and it's an immediate subscribe because this is 35 seconds. Bless
I literally just figured this out. As I was getting the notification. 😂
Stop it. You'll put me out of a job. 😜
@@Daniel_Batal great short ideas, thanks 👍
I still don't do shorts though...
But I discovered something interesting. I may send you an email if I find your email add
Loving your quick tutorials! Thanks a lot!
You're very welcome!
I love the little dig you got in there with Filmora 😝😂🤣 You’re a hoot! 😎
😜
So simple...cheers mate! This will step my channel up! Editing now!
Happy to help!
Thank you very much :-)
Thanks didn't know that feature existed.
Enjoy your videos
this is how tutorials should be. easy to follow. thankyou My friend.
You're welcome!
I watched many channels with tutorials about Davinci Resolve. But yours are best. I like that the seems to be a short explanation to every problem you might want to solve in Davinci and many long term videos to get more background infos. Really good stuff.
I appreciate the kind words. Thanks!
ty bro great vid
This will speed up my editing so much!
I hope so!
Wor this is perfect
Your shorts are the best ive encountered for quick tips about davinchi resolve!!!
Please keep these coming, ive subbed cause these are quality for noobs looking to learn 💪
Thank you! Will do!
Wow. Transform menu for the win. I didn't know I could adjust the zoom!
Totally cool. It's a really simple way to just grab those two boxes, resize and move them and create a zoom in or zoom out while looking at the region visually.
@@Daniel_Batal Yeah, thank you for pointing it out. Always love these short hacks/tips. Very helpful!
Love how this was taught in 30 seconds!!!!!
Awesome! That’s my whole plan for this series.
Got about 100 of them up so far 😁
Keep killing the game! 🤘🔥🔥🤘
👊😎☮️
How to get someone to subscribe, without telling them to subscribe 101...
I forgot half of the stuff I could do with DVR, you got me back on track with these shorts. You're killing it, glad you're showcasing non-believers the power this tool gives us for literal peanuts!
Righteous!
Thank you🙏🏽
You are so welcome
LOVE IT, more videos like this!!
You got it!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Good work !
Thanks!
Superb Bro❤
Thanks 😊
Awesome, thank you
Almost like Filmora 😁
@@Daniel_Batal yeah,. I just used it now in a video, THANK YOU.. I wanted to use the Shake video you just make, but I couldn't get it to shake like the box hitting the camera.
dammmnnn, feeling called out about switching from filmora lmao. Thanks for the video tho, super helpful!
I’m right there with you 😅
I love your videos
Thank you very much! More to come
Thanks you 🙏🏻
You’re Welcome 👍
Simple and easy to do.
Amen.
Thank you
You're welcome
thx mate, this helps alot! :D
Right on. Glad this helped! Shout me out if you have any questions
@@Daniel_Batal will do thx again
thanks !
You're welcome!
home run !
Cool. Been spending hours editing my clips with keyframes and now I learned I can just do this. Lmao, thanks bro.
Both work well depending on your project needs.
Nice 👍
Thanks, John.
Are you able to do the reverse of this? Like select a specific box to zoom in on?
Yup. You can set the start and end boxes however you’d like.
Zoom in, zoom out, pan up, down, left, right, etc
im having trouble, iv gone to do this and its not working when every other image is
why would this be
personally I like to do it with keyframes, it's just easy way for me
Same. But Resolve has many ways yo skin the same cat so I like to show the options.
Is there any way to make it more exact? like entering values and stuff like that... Modeling the speed curves...
Yeah, use the Inspector instead of the Dynamic Zoom. You can dial in super exact crop & zoom values.
Hey bro my dynamic zoom tool with the green and red box is set really small not scaled with footage and can’t adjust any idea how to fix
Left click/hold on any corner and drag to scale
Круто .
Is there a way to rotate dynamic zoom=?
The zoom itself?
Yes, but don think of it as rotating the zoom. Think of it as rotating the footage. Then you're just using the smae keyframe motions you would whether you're zooming or not.
Hello! Daniel, why you choose davinci than the filmora? Cause im always watching your video using filmora.
Here's why ---> ruclips.net/video/3Zsl-wuEI1k/видео.html
Thank you Daniel
But how do you apply the dynamic zoom beginning from a specific timing ?
I can only do it from the beginning of the clip until the end of clip
Yup. The trick for this style of zoom vs traditional is to create a cut point in your video asset
❤❤
Hi, do you know how to do the toggle hold animation like in after effects in davinci?
Explain, please.
@@Daniel_Batal let's say i want my video at 00:00 to be at 100% scale and at 00:05 seconds, i want my video to be at 200% scale.
Now ideally, I'll put two key frames, one at 00:00 second and the other one at 00:05 seconds and what i get is a linear zoom animation for that goes on the entire 5 seconds. Now i don't want that.
I want the video to jump scale to 200% at 00:05 seconds, i don't want it to animate for the entire 5 seconds in a linear speed ramp fashion.
I hope i got my point thru. Thanks for getting back. Looking forward to hear from you.
😮
How do you select a slip, and can you in the free version?
Click on it in your timeline and it will highlight in red.
I’m using DaVinci Resolve Studio 18.5
I am using the free version and will try it. Thanks! Great work up do@@Daniel_Batal
How do you zoom in? Same in reverse?
Using this technique, just grab each box by the corner and resize it. If the Red box is smaller than the Green box... it'll zoom in.
@@Daniel_Batal legend! Cheers man
Thanks to god!!! He didn't say "DaVinci Resolve! For noobs!"😂😂😂
😅
Just this once…
Question! I have a vertical timeline and vertical footage, but every time I try to use Dynamic zoom, it displays with my clip horizontal ( the effect applies vertically but to align, preview, set it up etc, it only appears with my clip snapped into horizontal frame instead which makes it a nightmare to line up. How do/can I fix this ?
Great question!
It seems to be a “flaw” in the feature that’s been around since before I started using it. This is definitely something that other people have asked for it to match the timeline resolution and it still seems to work in a purely 16:9 methodology, regardless of project aspect ratio.
@Daniel_Batal Thanks so much! I just saw a short similar, using it with vertical footage. Of course I have no idea how or why it worked for them lol 😅
I truly appreciate your content and taking the time to reply, absolutely 💯
how to get it
i have been trying
I showed how in this video.
For reference; I am using Resolve Studio 18.5 BETA
you able to adjust the zoom speed as well?
Absolutely
Can I custom the shape of the zoom?
You’d want to use the inspector zoom controls and/or and image mask for more control
@@Daniel_Batal can you do a video on that please?
there is nothing in my upper right no options whatsoever. HELP PLSSS
Make sure you’re running the latest version of Resolve on Mac or PC.
Make you’re in the Edit Page (important).
Make sure you’re choosing a video clip in your timeline that’s not locked, placed in a group or otherwise linked or excluded from being edited by itself.
@@Daniel_Batal i got it thanks
Finally it's not for noobs 😅
Nope!
This does not work for me, Running Resolve Studio 18.6. I'm in Edit Mode. I click on the clip which outlines it in red. In the upper right, I click on Dynamic Zoom, which turns "on" the switch with the red dot. But I can't find the "Dynamic Zoom" under the preview window like yours has. Mine only has Source, Offline, Audio Track, MultiCam, and Annotations. No Dynamic Zoom. Got any ideas?
Actually, nevermind. I was doing the upper left window instead of the upper right window. Now it works! Thanks!
Ha! I was just posting that it sounded like user error.
Glad you found it!
Davinci resolve for noobs missing from this video 😂.
Because it’s not a ‘for Noobs’ video.
It’s a viewer questions video.
These might be more advanced depending on the viewer question
Great video,, but it's a shame there isn't a shortcut, the shortcuts in Davinci are vert poor...
That’s not true.
Superior to Filmora because it's free and there's no watermark
🫡🔥🔥
being a camera drone pilot, this is starting to look like drones wont be needed in the production side of things.
Yeah but nothing can replace great footage ❤️
Don't call us noobs 😢.. it hurts
Why not? I’m a noob too.
Noobs just mean newbie, what hurts in being a newbie? Everyone is newbie at some point.
You used the nasty word FilmXXX. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣But seriously... I miss you very much at FilmXXXX. Many greetings from Germany
The F word. 😜
