Greatsword power stance should be in S tier, they're not that much slower, the jump attack poise damage is only like 15% less than that of a charged heavy, and the moveset itself is solid.
My last playthrough was powerstanced greatswords focused on status effects- was a blast! Right now, powerstancing straight swords and it's definately S-tier, I feel like I'm cheating.
My favorite move when powerstancing greatsword is the backstep attack where you thrust both swords forward, hard to do usually but if you backstep enough to avoid an attack you can come right back and stab whatever it is
DS2 Power stance was more varied, though. You could mix combinations of various weapon types. It's a shame you can't do the same in Elden Ring, but I get that it would've taken a long time to flesh out a system with that.
@@tomasdelcampo2 yeah you could mix swords and hammers, or swords and spears, etc. there's a whole system to how it chooses which attack pattern based on which weapons are equipped.
@@pessolano461 actually I vaguely remember something about that now. Im gonna look into it, I never did that myself but I did dual wield literally like a dozen different weapon types in elden ring all with different movesets and used a few paired weapons in DS3
@@tomasdelcampo2 ds3 had dedicated paired weapons, not true dual-wielding, and Elden ring’s dual wielding system is restricted to two weapons of the same class (with the only exception being the wazikashi dagger being usable with katanas). Ds2 has the most versatile system out of all the games.
I'd say that for the three overhead slam ps moveset weapons the great hammers are the best, the sweeping I handed moveset helps keep you more versatile with your power stance for single target and I handed for crowd control
My last playthrough I powerstanced greatswords with status effects on both leaning towards faith where I'd switch to a seal in my offhand for some spells/buffs. That was a ton of fun- the only two enemies I had to switch it up on was the last main boss in the DLC: Radahn and mesmer, where I shield-poked, it was a TON of fun. This time around I'm powerstancing Straightswords and holy god they are definately S tier. I haven't even gotten to adding status effects and these things MELT enemies. The only downside is the reach, I keep thinking they reach like the greatswords do and I miss a lot but I'm getting used to it- it's only because of my last playthrough, I keep thinking I've got greatswords. I love the moveset. So far it's just the Lordsword Straight Sword & Broadsword. I do miss the poise break but if I can get used to the square off I can even have that but it's still awkard to use for me.
I totally get the daggers ps issues. But they are still very effective. I actually like them better than great hammers. Ofc damage and posture is better with GHs but in practice, while playing, the daggers ps plays great into my panic dodge playstyle. They make me look like i know what im doing. The movesets start so quick, they can keep up with my frantic button pressing and i look like a real elden lord, when otherwise i look like a level 6 summon to my mimic. He should get the throne really
colossals and CS belong in S-Tier for jumping attack builds, insane stagger and insane single hit that comes out of a running jump and doesnt leave you open for long. hit and run ahh gameplay vibes. very effective.
I'm going with Golden Halberd & Commanders Halberd to end-game. I use both buffs and add FGMS... I'm getting 820AR on the Golden & 650AR on the Commnders at +5 upgrade and 85RL. The jump attacks are doing 1400AR+
Just tried dual daggers yesterday, and while the DPS can get pretty high, I was underwhelmed, I think the S tier list here is pretty accurate. Still have yet to try whips, might do those next.
as my favorite class of weapon, always was upset that curved greatswords have the same power stance moveset as greatswords, I really wish they they couldve done something more unique cause theyre such fun weapons. Axes and flails sharing the same is also extremely annoying but its a little more understandable cause how many players are duel wielding flails?
I was thinking for a build in my new game and i thought "why not go for Flail and Nightrider Flail powerstance, should be pretty good", then i stumbled upon this video...
strength weapons powerstanced still get the strength two handing modifier its just less than 2 handing the same weapon so they still preform better than 1 handing 1 weapons in terms of base damage per weapon swung
I have the BB powerstancing with the sacred relic blade as a faith/strength build. And I wanted to wear shiny golden plate armor so I’ve invested over 40 points into endurance lol 😅 I’d like to have those extra points in faith/strength but I can’t STAND having heavy load rolls. The damage isn’t as great as I hoped but I’m probably not optimizing my talisman slots/cracked tears or something.
Cs is over rated. It's hitting at the same time but stacks hit slower with less tracking, speed, and recovery AND deal a worse damage type normally (slash vs pierce). They are good, I'll not deny that. But they NEED status to work well and tbh twin blades do that but better.
me personally I powerstance the torches for maximum illumination
What color ambient light appears if you powerstance St. Trina's Torch with a regular torch? 🤔🤔😮👀
Trina torch + Sentry torch. The assassins are gonna be in bed for a long while
Don't forget to buff them with the lantern as well

Thrusting swords deserve a higher rating simply for stylish animations
Always good to see your vids. keep at it, the DLC will be here before you know it.
Greatsword power stance is so underrated

Just when you think there’s nothing left to make another tier list, the GOAT is back
I was just thinking something similar
The dead horse has finally been beaten for the last time, REJOICE!!!

the Tier List God is back at it once again!
Now do this for 2-handing, with a shield and as a caster weapon

can you make a video about best ng+ and high level builds

Probably more players will powerstance flails if moveset not so bad

Power stance shields easy SS tier
Fingerprint shields lmfao. Truly a play style I never expected to encounter much less be viable

Awesome video!
Whats the best strategy to breakstance while dualwielding?
Yeah power stance curved sword carried me through dlc until final bosses 😩
I wish the Naginata had the same power stances move set as the one handed, but 2 at once
do a rl1 weapon tierlist
Wanted to do a power stance build! Ty for this video as always
YT gave me a notification for this video a week later💀
me using 2 powerstancing 2 thrusting sword and thinking it made the game too easy compared to whips and twinblades 0.0
what's the video you used to show the movesets for all weapons? the red guy, i mean.
the real power stance weapon is seals, for maximum aesthetic
Shield tier list pls I love you
Katana I think could be S because all Katanas have innate bleed which power stance helps in making it faster to stack.
Said it before I'll say it again, axes got done dirty, should have used the wing knight twin axes as the base for the powerstance.
any changes you would makes since 1.10?

I can't help it, This is actually the most tier list I have ever witnessed on one channel and video game.

What about pvp?
Katana is S teir because of its utility and damage despite having neither swords attack at the same time
greatswords in A tier lost all credibility.
you right it should be d
