You did say it to loud..now youve got us into the worthless mess that "Origins" is... To bad they didnt get the chance to make season 11 or season 6 of Atlantis or atleast the Atlantis Film... or even finish SGU with a 3rd Season...everything wouldve been much better, than "Origins".
Daniel & Rodney are almost completely mismatched on so many levels, but damn, they play off of each other so well. SGU pretty much killed off the Stargate franchise. Too bad.
They had Samantha Carter, Daniel Jackson, Jack, Rodney Mckay in flashbacks or recordings, I think, but it was hard for me to get enthused about SGU, because it was trying too damned hard to be edgy, angstier & " darker " than SG - 1 or Atlantis & trying to be like " Voyager ", BSG or " Lost in Space ".
I think that stargate should introduce a separate race of humans that were hidden from the taurii. Humans that were forsaken by the ancients and nearly eliminated by the wraith. Made a huge story for them.
You're preaching to the choir here, to a great degree. SyFy doesn't show SG1 or SGA reruns much, either. Good thing local stations show them. SyFy is like FOX, they kill off a lot of their good series & leave the crap.
A friend of mine at the time didn't think Janus could build a secret lab in Atlantis without the Lantean council knowing. I was able to convince him that it was possible. For starters, he didn't build the space, it was part of the original city structure. All he had to do was pick a backwater out of the way tower and corridor, go into the city computer and alter the plans f the city to remove a room from the plans. Then he constructed his doorway system and presto... secret lab space.

MGM said they couldn't afford to have the two shows. It had to be oe show or the other. So the producers killed Atlantis in favor of Universe which more or less killed off the whole thing.
I think SyFy ( I'm not crazy about the name, mind ) really wants to become more like SPIKE TV, which was something 180 degrees different than what it is now.
The McKay and Jackson episodes where great! I really liked the McKay character in Atlantis... but I did not like McKay as much in SG1... although rewatching the SG1 with McKay again a couple of times it's OK...

gradius12 yes, because when a piece of medium fails, it's the audiences fault for not "getting it". Said every shitty writer ever who couldn't get over their own ego and whiny brats on the internet who don't understand that if you don't give an audience what they want your media fails universally. It's almost like SG was built on a foundation of humor and when the writers decided to remove that foundation and replace it with cinicism and "edge" so they could be the next BSG their house crumbled into the dirt. If you want to watch something like that, go watch BSG, they did it with actual success.

I'm a little proud and a lot ashamed at the same time that I didn't have to look that up.

shouldnt have invested mgm, i think they shouldve just stuck with sga, considering nothing was wrapped about the series(books do not count).
