I feel like the point Erin was making with saying that the things he changed don't change the future isn't him saying that the rumbling would always happen, but him saying that the only way he was ever able to find to have a future where Armin and Mikasa lived "peaceful" lives was for him to cause the rumbling to cripple the rest of the world to the point where Paradis Island was left alone until after they had been able to live their natural lives
Ending haters not realizing Eren wasn't the sigma mastermind character they thought, and that Isayama wants to convey that violence and genocide is never the answer, as well as the idea that history always repeats itself. And the dude in the video says it a problem the cycle of hatred wasn't stopped is bad doesn't understand that's also what Isayama wants. As it was stated in the anime, "humans will stop fighting each other when there's 1 human left", he wants to show even if he genocided everyone besides the Eldians, the Eldians would turn on each other and continue the cycle of war.
@@SantinoGrandSummoners im pretty sure ending haters dont want a complete post-rumbling peace though? like im pretty sure most people would be fine with paradis turning to internal conflict in 200-300 years after the rumbling. the difference between the current ending and what ending haters want is _what_ causes the continued violence in the epilogue. currently, it seems pretty logical that eldian racism continues. its not like killing 80% of the world and talking would solve all the prejudice. in fact, it might make things worse. in an alternate 100% rumbling ending though, the problem of eldian discrimination is gone and the conflict comes from something else entirely. also, the anime revision of the epilogue kind of goes against the main message. many people say that it happened 20,000 years later, but that means the 80% rumbling brought an ENTIRE 20,000 years of peace. remember, its not talking in itself that brought the peace because without the rumbling, they would have no opportunity to talk.
@@SantinoGrandSummonersits funny that ending defenders say this but also say the ending says genocide is bad. Eren isnt even portrayed as a villain in the end. He's protrayed as a victim to Ymir, the paths and his "ideals". Killing billions of ppl just so a couple of your friends can have a few decades of peace is an insane justification. The manga thanks Eren for genocide and the anime tries to remove blame from Eren and share it with Armin. At least with villain Eren he kills the entire rest of the world so his ppl will no longer face oppression from the outside world.
For me requiem makes much more sense Eren's character is so bad written imo if he wants to make his friends free why he didn't told anyone what he intended to do the only excuse is that is that he couldn't because it was the only path which is lazy writing not to talk about every plot hole of the ending
@@TKOTDtvMusic The fact that we're still debating the ending until now, and will probably do so for months or years to come, simply shows the brilliance of AOT and Isayama's genius. He didn't create a perfect story, but he created something that has defined our generation, and may continue to do so for a long time.
Before y’all start foaming at the mouth saying ‘iT’S DISrespTful tO THE AuthoR!!!!’ Keep in mind that fanfiction, Or doujinshi in this case, is MASSIVE in Japan and is often where mangakas got started to the point where it has its own convention known as Comiket, which btw is the largest fan convention in the world.
Doujinshi thrives in Japan, but it does not insult the author or the end result. Under Japanese law, doujinshi is illegal, but only because the authors allow it and are not arrested. Doujinshi authors are aware that they are doing something illegal and stealing the original author's ideas, so they work modestly.
This fan made ending is based on the Akatsuki no Requiem ending theory which was made from analyzing the music video of the same name. The original theory was that it would be a grim ending where Eren would fight and kill the Alliance, including Mikasa and Armin, in order to complete the Rumbling and taste freedom. Eren would then return to Paradis after exterminating humanity, and decide to go on living to raise his child in a peaceful world where the cycle of hatred was broken, though he is tormented by guilt for the rest of his life for his monstrous actions. It’s unclear how closely the Requiem fan comic will stick to the original theory. But the tone will likely be more dark and grim than the original ending of the manga/anime.
Listen, I liked the current ending. I think it did a lot of good things. That being said, it wasn’t even CLOSE to perfect and there were tons of plot holes, which I felt to be out of character for the series mostly. Never heard of requiem, but from what was covered, I do think it’s gearing up to be a better end to the series.
I love the AoT ending and I love Requiem. Ik some look at as a disrespect which I understand but I look at it as what if and just a typical fan fic. Let’s be honest we all thought of our own an alternate ending just nvr announced or shared it, that’s what requiem is doing announcing and sharing their thoughts & love
I just letting the people know here that Requiem team are passionate fans who just wanted to Invision what AoT could of done differently. I liked the original ending even with its flaws, so I am excited to see what other fans can do with the lore of AoT. 😀
@@Z.O.1991 bruh, the op said that they enjoy the canon ending and don’t mind the fanmade alternative, they never once talked about the shipping aspect unlike you and the fanmade is majorly focused on eren actually carrying out the full rumbling. Because you obviously gave your mouth breathing stance away being hyper-focused on the romance subplot, go read shoujo mangas, they tend to be better in the romance department. Have a blessed day.
@@ChocoBuns420shoujo’s do NOT have better romance my guy. Also he’s completely valid on his take. I read all of requiem (or at least I think I did, I only saw 3 or 4 chapters on the website) and I can completely understand where he’s coming from. I find it extremely hard to believe that (spoilers) eren would pull a NTR and ditch mikasa, which is a subplot they’ve been building up throughout the entire show, for historia, a character who has already had 2 different romantic build ups. Then ontop of that, I refuse to believe armin would just straight up Accept that Eren is a lost cause just because of what he did with historia.
@@expertarcher8542 eren never showed romantic to interest Mikasa til the last chapter, if isayama wanted to show that, then he should have built their relationship very clearly and cohesively that there is no need for inference in the entire manga series. I am only talking about the subplot romance because you too seem to be obsessed with it. Shoujo mangas do in fact do better in romance departments because it is targeted towards young women and it is written by female authors most of the time. Get your facts straight. There is no NTR to Mikasa from eren because they were never in an official romantic relationship. Im done talking to a dunderhead, go enjoy your canon panel of Mikasa kissing a dead head, the only time anything explicitly “romantic” that happened between eren and Mikasa.
@@ChocoBuns420 What do you mean “no romantic development until the last panel”?! What about the scarf scene? What about season 2 ep 12 scene? About how he’d “Wrap that scarf around her as many times as she wants”. Don’t pretend like it doesn’t exist. ED 1 and ED 7 literally are about Eren and mikasa’s romantic feelings. While I’m not going to say the whole head kissing thing was natural, I’m not gonna make a big deal about it like your average run-of-the-mill manga reader. It’s not like it changes anything whether she did or did not kiss him. It just adds to the climax of the episode and finishes off the romantic subplot that they’ve been building up for the entire show. Sure they may have never been “officially dating” but that doesn’t change the fact that it was written to be interpreted as that. I don’t know about manga specifically, but from the couple shoujo anime’s that I’ve seen, they are often slow and take forever to get anywhere.
What's that supposed to mean exactly? AOT should've ended sooner than later? It would've gotten worse if the manga/anime continued? Or that there shouldn't be this Requiem? Forgive me, I'm just puzzled at your comment is all.
@@SamDSmithhe means like usually good things tend to overstay so be thankful that AOT ended before that could’ve happened, basically AOT ended now rather than is being dragged on
I personally believe the cycle of hatred continuing is NOT a bad outcome for this story. Not every story needs to have a positive outcome. Sometimes we do all we can to escape something, but in reality we are only delaying the inevitable... stifled by the nature of the world and its inhabitants. WW1 was supposed to be the war that ended all wars and people truly believed that, but look at where we are now. Isayama was aiming for a more realistic ending that is actually believable besides Eren murdering 80% of the world and Eldians living happily ever after with no consequences. We need to move away from idyllic endings being the only way a story should end. This open-ended conclusion leaves us wondering what happens next. Thanks for listening to my TED talk :D
@@BigballsTerrence literally makes no sense to me, and now theyre literally creating their own fan fiction ending and acting like theyre doing anything but stroking their own egos. its beyond me. if i were iseyama id be kinda ashamed of this fanbase
The entire point of the story was not to stop violence itself, the focus was breaking the cycle of hatred BETWEEN Humanity and Eldians, , where the "SINS OF THE FATHER" were getting passed into the children who had nothing to do with what happened in the past.Zeke,Eren,Historia,Reiner,Falco,Gabi and so many more characters suffered as children due to the sins of the past, due to their history and legacy of being "devils". The problem with the canon ending in regards to this theme is that the alliance and Eren perpetuate the cycle by passing this problem to the next generation instead of solving it, as the post credit scene shows, the future generations end up paying the price AGAIN, just like King Fritz with Ymir's children, just Like Grisha with Eren and Zeke, just like Historia's mom with her child,Just like Reiner's mom with him and so on. Just as Hange said when she questioned herself : "Should we pass down our problems to the next generation?"
@@HoundsBaneNo, we really did get a Game of Thrones ending. Complete trash. That's not an opinion. Its facts. Storytelling execution and writing was so damn terrible. Not trolling either.
@user-wy8ve5nr2n I'm actually not emotional. Its fact. The writing was terrible. Here, I'll break it down to you so that you can see how much Isayama f'ed up the ending AND the story: 1) We find out that Eren Yaeger had no character development whatsoever. Wow... And now, he is an unrelatable psychopath who used to be one of my favorite characters but is now a piece of crap. Originally, we were led to believe that Eren used to be one way--a zealous innocent kid looking to destroy the Titans because of the suffering he experienced with the Titan attack. Turns out, he was born with a desire to murder humans since the freakn beginning. So, his own mom getting eat up? He planned that mess. Also, seeing people die all around him? He was acting it out. Therefore, if you go back and watch Attack on Titan from scratch, Eren was acting the entire time. Pure acting. If you understand storytelling, this is what you call a retcon... YOU DO NOT DO THAT. Retconning is bad storytelling and bad writing. Therefore, Eren went from being a dark, complex villain who was sympathetic to this murderous psychopath. 2) Last minute motivational changes that destroyed character arcs. Again, the problem was the main character. At first, Eren said he had no choice but to destroy mankind because he saw how terrible they were. That was relatable. Then later on, we find out he always wanted to kill mankind. But guess bro? Guess what? We THEN find out that he didn't really know why he wanted to kill all of humanity. -_- What the f---? 3) Eren failed to kill 100% of humanity thus making it a weak thematical impact. 80%? If Isayama wanted to make his message more powerful, Eren should've killed 100% of mankind outside the walls, then found out that his decisions did nothing to rectify the situation as Eldians would end up killing each other anyway. 4) Last minute shoehorned explainataitons. Game of Thrones anyone? 5) All of humanity was born from a primordial soup. Turns out, humanity are living mutated parasites... ...so why the hell should I care about any character in the show--let alone their lives? They're just walking parasites. And no. I'm not making this up. Isayama decided to pull off a Masashi Kishimoto and over explain everything. And so he decided to reveal the origins of mankind. And now we know that everyone are living mutated parasitic creatures coming from a primordial soup. Again why should I care about any character since their lives are now meaningless? Get--the--f--out. 6) Mikasa was completely useless. She had such great promise and ultimately ended up being completely pointless. She wasnt even a Levi clone. She was just...there. I could go on and on, but these 6 issues alone brought this series down from a 8.5/10 to a 6/10.
@user-wy8ve5nr2n Actually, one, I'm very special. Two, it is my job. Three, you don't know who I am ^_^ Four, it's not an opinion. Its storytelling facts. He broke storytelling rules and I'm just pointing it out. Its bad writing. Also, how I feel about the story itself is another discussion entirely but I wont be getting into that.
Eren being able to transform into colossal Titan If you look at the structure of founding Eren during rumbling, from the back u will see a pair of legs followed by a huge rib cage of bones propelling the entire thing forward like a centipede or hallucigenia. Connecting to these is the torso of a titan resembling a colossal titan with eren's head connected to it. The shoulder and elbows of the torso are also connected to the huge crawling bones via a string much like a puppet string. This makes the entire torso, hands and head all free and dangling. The rib cage that crawls is the hallucigenia and the rest dangling part is Eren much like the human form Eren inside the final titan where Mikasa found him. When Jean severed the head, it separated hallucigenia and Eren. Now usually severing the neck works in killing the titan but Eren was in the mouth. Hence he could transform again from that severed head, just like a normal second transformation. Now coming to the point of getting colossal titan power, he got it when he transformed to founding titan just like he has warhammer and assault/attack titan powers. Hope this helps.
While Requiem has some interesting changes, it definitely is still a fan made project and you can tell. Like the fact that they just randomly throw in Historia and Eren having a romance and her being pregnant with his child? Comes out of nowhere and clearly just because the writers ship them. That said, Requiem is very well made. I will be keeping up with it, while also keeping in mind that it is 100% not canon in any way, it’s just a very well made fanfic
@@patgray5402and please, pretty please, can we stop having people say that this project exists only because the writers were "shippers" that wanted to "cope with their delusions" and "disrespect" yams
bro what? Go look back through people talking about the anime and manga finding out Historia was pregnant (and remember the anime cut the shot of Eren watching Historia talking to the farmer). Everyone thought it was Erens kid, not just some random nobody who did and means nothing. People also expected Isayama to care at all about Historia in the finale which he just did not.
Glad you've been enjoying the project!! We're real excited to see everyone's reactions when Part 4 drops. :D If you're ever up for an interview with the team, hmu! We've got some great stuff in store for the fanending!
Hope you guys will make an official aotnorequiem youtube account that also make review on aotnorequiem chapter and the bonus part like the lamp and apple theory, the alternate paths that eren see and the aotnorequiem timeline. That can generate thousand to hundreds of thousand of views and it will help with aotnorequiem project.
I understand your intentions of making something like this, but unfortunately there are still so many flaws that just ruin it for me. Unlike the original ending where I can just get over it
@Mr.Needle-Hamster yeah we get it isn't for everyone. Some people love it, others don’t and that's normal. If you enjoy the canon ending more all the power to you! Our aim is just to provide a different kind of ending. Thanks for your comment!
Y’all keep forgetting, Erens goal was never to break the cycle of violence. His goal was to make sure his friends live long happy lives. And they did that (without him)
are you stupid ? " my goal is to protect the people of paradis the rumbling will not stop i will keep moving forward " eren's words ch123.. where are his friends in this ?
@@bobd2078 also " the only way to end the cycle of hatred is to bury it " eren in 130 " eren's goal was never to break the cycle of violence " what a joke argument😂😂😂😂
Oh my god, yes! It took me a long time to realize exactly what was bugging me about the ending..... Eren never fully became the bad guy, and it makes no sense that he went on a genocide. Also, poor Mikasa. She loses in every ending... The girl deserves better
I just have to say this, but I don’t understand why anyone says Eren not changing the future is a plothole. He was living not only his own life, but the lives of every other attack titan over and over again for what is essentially infinity. He probably did have the smiling titan eat bert at some point, but it ended up being a less desirable outcome than what we got. Of course it’s just my own thoughts, but I think it’s worth considering
Everyone should remember, the studio Eclypse adaptation is ONLY PART 1. They are not doing the whole thing. They are doing the first chapter which is a lot of talking, we wont see the actual ending. This was their debut project and have since committed much more to creating an adaptation of Berserk. Sorry to say, ANR wont get a full anime adaptation.
Eren was able to transform still when he hot separated with the Hallucegenia thing because "Eren's full body is in the mouth of the Founding Eren Titan" The explosion only blown up the neck thus Eren's human body remains good and Dandy. That is not really plot armor esque comapared to Reiner surving a literal beheading.
Its the one fan made ending i read (requiem probably)and I got goosebumps to the point where I thought how isayama was going to top it . Spoilers: Where eren actually has a baby with historia. (Chemistry works well cuz eren was the first person to break historia out of her shell). And using the baby eren controlls the titans from a far away place using the war hammer linkig cord. What makes this ending beautiful is that eren kills all of humanity and his friends too. So eren is free from anything that bound him and is truly free. The paradis people then expore the rest of the world and start living. Eren here is free, is actually a hero(for his people) and a devil for the rest of the world. Some of the things I missed out. But I still can remember the goosebumps I felt when I first read the fan theory.
Worst ending ever. How would Eren be able to controll the titans? The baby would have be a Titan to with royal blood. If aot ended like this as Eren being praised as some genocidal Hero there’s no doubt Aot would labeled as pro fascist.
@@aarontsafack16 Because he's the founder and it was established that the founder control the titans? It wouldn't matter that his child has royal blood since in this ending Eren ends the Titan curse after finishing the rumbling. And no, Eren would be praised by his people but he would be suicidally depressed for the rest of his life and having his daughter's figure the only thing that would kept him from killing himself, just like he said at the declaration of war, he's just like Reiner. I don't think anyone with a half brain would interpret the story like you are saying if the ending was like that, and make no mistake, there still people calling aot facist because eren is praised by his friends and crying for him in the canon ending, you can't win with those people.
@@aarontsafack16 good job because you basically have said "Why does Eren need Zeke to continue the rumbling when Ymir has decided to not listen to the royal blood descendants of their lineage?" Anime ending was the worst ending of all endings according to that one comment alone
@@_Circus_Clapped_ Eren still needed zeke. We literally see Eren snatch up zeke as soon as he turns into the founding titan. And Ymir still wasn’t free from the royal blood lineage until the end.
I want an alternative ending where Eren wins. He wipes out all life outside the walls. Maybe afterwards the eldians execute him for his crimes or something, but my only real interest is Eren fulfilling his life goal. He had such a beautiful drive, and it all was ruined in the last movie when he just lets himself be defeated and turns into a simp. Nah, I love the idea of a monstrous world creating an even bigger monster that actually wins.
18:14 Bro, if Attack on Titan actually ended like this, where Eren won. It would've hit MUCH harder. My God. It reminds me of Thanos and his "Wipe out half of life to save all lives". 😂
The fact that every Eldian King had the ability to make all their subjects incredibly hung, but actively chose not to will never sit right with me...... I mean if anything, that says alot about their priorities and how misplaced they were.
How to cure AoT racism: All Eldian males are 6ft8, perfect calf genetics, thicc hair and beards, drop dead gorgeous and massive penises. All Eldian women are supermodels with divine genetics.
I don't like this ending for the simple fact that Eren seems to have lost all free will and seems to be under the same mind control that Freida Reiss and previous members of the royal bloodline were. This ending seems to imply that neither Ymir or Eren had any free will to begin with, but were under direct control of the Source of all Living matter to begin with, and under its manipulation to persevere and stay alive in any way possible. It completely demolishes the nuance that Eren had before that and it shows him more as a vessel for securing the livelihood of the creature rather than what Eren was standing for. Also, I don't imagine Armin being this confrontational and hostile towards Eren, seems a bit out of character. He would try the political and diplomatic approach, and showing Eren doesn't give one f*** what Armin says is just another sign of Eren being under influence of the creature that is making the final decision.
Thanks for covering this man, as someone who hates the ending with a passion I can't wait for Requiem to come out. Don't forget to support the project if you feel like it guys 🙌
fuck that project. i hope they lose money doing this bullshit. if you dont like the ending of a show…move on. make your own story. dont sit around and making fan fiction trying to fuck with the art someone else made. thats a different level of entitlement
I criticized the ending in the manga vehemently when it came out, and it pretty much ruined my week as I remember. I was so pissed I couldn't even focus well at work. Now having seen the ending in the anime, where they made a few important tweaks, I think the ending of AOT, while nowhere near perfect, has landed on its feet. The important changes in Armin and Eren's dialogue definitely made all the difference in my opinion. Nonetheless, I'm still looking forward to AOT no Requiem, and I hope it will deliver a great ending with a different perspective on AOT.
The Requiem tells a better story by making more senses of character motivations. Although I felt like Armin does not carry the momentum till the point of rewrite to came to such resolve in the final conflict, at the same time I don't see other characters more fitting for the role either. The requiem did its best job given the limited scope in which they are changing, the source material failed to progress Armin and made questionable choices regarding his interactions with other characters (especially his plot with Annie does not make sense) in previous chapters. I felt like an even more coherent ending most likely need to retrace further into the source material, which probably is unrealistic.
Im glad you are addressing the issues. Thank you. It actually takes balls to address aot ending's obvious flaws cuz the meat riders will burn you down before you can even tell them thats its just objective criticism . Edit : 🤡 the clowñs in reply section proves my point. Especially user-wy8ve5nr2n. With nothing to back their claims. Just talking bs. This is what you call a meat rider.
Do you view what you do as objective criticism? Calling people who liked the ending as meat riders show that you also don't view their opinion objectively. Either they agree with you or they're "meat riders". Hypocrite.
From all the endings I've seen, AOT has cooked up an alternative ending, which, case in point, a good idea if Mikasa, Armin, and the rest are still living--but Requiem's gonna be a game changer for me! I hope it'll be 10x as great as the original
1:15 my dude no Erin never lost the founding Titan ability till the very end Yemir was with Erin and she’s the one that gives the founding Titan powers
Honestly I hope they make the titans drawn like W.I.T did. They were more scary and menacing in the first 3 seasons the last season was damn near perfect if it wasnt for all the CGI titans
In my headcanon the contradiction with with Dina isnt a contradiction its a time paradox. If Eren doesn't let Dina eat his mother hes an entirely different person with different motivations by that point... thus making it impossible for him to be there in the moment to even influence Dina nor know why he should or what that would mean. In my head Eren knew that what had happened by the time he kissed Historias hand had to happen because if it didn't he wouldn't be there in the first place to do that very thing. I dont agree with the sympathy thing for Eren. If you rewatch the series you can see that Eren really was a "good" guy, but the world he lived in forced him to do evil. I think the Reiner conversation in Marley, the world conspiring to kill Paradis, and the moment with Ramzi points out the fact that Eren was never a criminal mastermind but rather a VERY VERY determined guy who felt he had to do something heinous to achieve his ends. In my rewatching you can pretty evidently see Eren is doing his best to play the part of a part he doesn't want to play and is struggling to do so and is mentally breaking down rhe further the story goes. Plus you gotta remember Eren is a 19 year old kid who is having a private convo with his best friend and is essentially getting out his last confessions before he likely burns in hell for eternity. In that situation It makes sense that he would look pathetic because essentially he knows no one will ever hear it and hes screwed. To me Eren succeeded in that he secured, for the most part the security of his friends, and most people are extremely unaware of how bad of shape the world would be after the rumbling. Paradis likely went at least 1000 years or more before it eventually crumbled. Just like Annie told Eren, he was wise enough to know that there was no changing the nature of humanity so it doesn't matter to me that Paradis eventually perished... all nations crumble eventually. To me the biggest plot hole is the collosal titan Eren gets in the end....that i have no answer for.😂
Just for the sake of mental gymnastics, here's how I've explained the Eren colossal to myself: each of the 9 titans has a unique power, the founding titans power is to create, this is evidenced by the last eldian king who used the power to create the wall titans. However, the power to control pure titans is unique to those with royal blood, and has nothing to do with the founding titan. This is evidenced by Zeke's ability to control titans despite never controlling the founding titan. So for me, the death of Zeke meant that Eren lost his connection with a titan of royal blood, thus losing his ability to control the rumbling titans, but it did not separate him from his ability to create a new titan form for himself. Sure you could argue that perhaps the founding titan was all powerful and should have had all of the abilities of every titan since Ymir gave Eren full control, but I think there is at least some logic that suggests a reasonable alternative. But really though, by the time we got to that point in the story, Eren was already resigned to the fact that he would not be able to complete the rumbling without killing his friends, so it is fairly reasonable to conclude that he simply allowed the rumbling to stop instead of killing all the people he cared about.
As I have understood it, Eren understanding Ymir allowed Ymir to give Eren full access to the Founders Titans (of course, once you have the Founder, you are essentially a walking God on earth and can become any titan you wish). Eren became the exception to the rule that only Royal's can have full power over the Founder titan. Not only that, I think Eren influenced Ymir so that even if he had somehow survived and the Founder did survive, the Founder would not bow to any other new future royal blood. By that time, Eren was effectively the last Founder that was possible to harness full power of it, as he "freed" Ymir of her misunderstanding of the meaning of life by showing her what true love and true freedom is (and also realizing she is just a simple human being that was thrust into violence too young, and violence is all she understood since such a young age), and in return she allowed him to steer the ship as he was seeing befitting.
I doubt the new ending will be better than the original ending in a narrative sense. But like the fate series, the most alternative the more content I get to enjoy. The 2000 years timeskip at the end makes the show so memorable, almost like it happened irl 2000 or even 20000 years ago. I would love to see the characters come back in any form.
It s a bit sad but good that AoT ending fans want to fix the ending for the sole reason that they indirectly accept the true ending is bad, and want to sort of "reboot" it.. it's nice how determined they are to the point of even getting an alternate version of it, just like in a videogame with different endings. Although we all know what the true ending was.. with all its cliffs of plot holes everywhere.
I just had a thought/question… if Mikasa is a part of the Ackerman family who I thought wasn’t effected by the founding titans powers, how come Eren was able to pull her into the paths?
@@jimbo7551 It's just the way she puts it because it would be completely irrelevant to say "oh btw I remembered first because mine were never forgotten". She might as well be saying "too" because the others have also realised

25:52 suit yourself I don’t acknowledge the ending Isyama wrote to me it never happened this is infinitely more interesting consistent explains things better and seems like something Eren would do although not entirely like
Ymir gave Eren a new body, the cycle of hatred breaking was never the goal, Eren wanted his friends to live a long life and he did that. Also it was longer than just 50 years it was centuries before the island was destroyed. I don't think you actually know what happened at the end of AOT.
I like how one of the main reasons people aren't happy with the ending is because 80% of earth died for next to no reason. Is everyone forgetting these are the same people who directed death note? I bet you cried about that ending too. Not every story has its picture perfect happy ending, people need to stop coming up with their own headcanon to cope. Smh🤦♂️
Death note ending is ok, I have no clue why people complained At least they didn't just say that light had no clue what he wanted to do the entire time
@user-wy8ve5nr2nI get what your saying, but I don’t think Death Note or AOT should have a different ending simply because I wanted the MC villain to win, Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad both ended with the MC villain losing, and having a seemingly meaningless journey, but in those shows there are far less plot holes and more consistent writing, that’s my biggest problem with the ending, the last few episodes of AOT felt like a different series in some good and bad ways but the bad outweighed the good imo

u don't get it bro. It's not the the conclusion compared to a different one that people are hating on. It's the nonsensical way it went about getting to the ending. Like character assassinations without any explanations and unexplained plot-holes. Happy Ending or not doesn't even bother me in the slightest as long as it made sense or there was a decent reveal in the end explaining why instead we got some lame ass unbelievable explanations that we have to accept is good writing.
Nick, I can't subscribe here because of spoilers but just know I love you and I still watch what I see. That doesn't spoil too much. On the hammer page I am devout ❤
I’m just grasping straws for why Erin retained powers from the founding titan but that vow was broken after he spoke to yamir. Yamir makes the rules to it anyway because she loved king Frits. Maybe having her feelings become recognized she decided Erin understands and deserves more power which is why we got that massive titan when he started the rumble.
But there's no definitive answer in universe. He was also cut off from the Worm and Royal blood. Effectively lost to the founder powers. That's why the worm was trying to go back to Eren to reconnect.
Bro its literally a plothole. And you really believe that "Ymir loves king Fritz" like you don't find anything disturbing about that? Do you just fucking accept something as disgusting as that? Don't you think it was hinted that she was a slave for 2000 years and Eren freed her when he broke the chains in the paths? Don't you think that Iseyama Changed ymir being a slave to ymir loving king Fritz to make a happy go lucky ending at the last moment to please the anime viewers and not to get backlash? He even made the titan powers not disappear showing the tree in the end for a possible sequel to make more money.
As an anime-only, I wouldn't mind an alternative ending to AoT, but not this one. All I would want really is some way for Mikasa to be with Eren, which still holds Eren accountable for his actions. I do like elements of this idea, such as the way they beat Bertoldt and the Okapi or Armin having to directly convince Mikasa, but mostly, a lot of this doesn't still well with me. The one thing I am intrigued to see is how it deals with the Titans, though, because they stopped being a thing only when Ymir moved on, which doesn't look like it will happen the same way, if at all.
I do understand people's feelings regarding the ending, but this is an insult to the creative vision of the author Isayama. An author may not simply choose to draw a pretty story, but try to convey a MESSAGE ! Whether Isayama did a good job conveying it, when fans seem to understand so little, is questionable, but i would not want Isayama to change his Message per se. That is the authors choice. And part of the 'fandom' is just horribly immature.
So if and all this ending becomes cannon, it can be called "what if " ending . it is when alternatives plots in stories like for example with American comic books such as Marvel does "what if" stories that became fan favorites, that they end up becoming their own storyline and/or cannon outlooks in such things like marvel's alternate universe like Earth X one of the biggest and great storylines in Marvel where a lot of your characters most famous storylines come from. i do believe Manga can do the same thing as well with some of their most famous manga as well
First lol nick I love your content! I was wondering if you’d ever talk about JoJo’s bizarre adventures cause your scientific mind will really help explain stands to folks who don’t understand them
I love the ending of aot and I have seen lots of bad things about the ending that don’t make sense like “Mikasa betrayed Eren” like no she didn’t it was he plan to die then I’ve seen things like” Eren didn’t achieve his goal” but that’s poetic I mean 140 is a number that means freedom in Japan aot has 139 chapter and it has 9 arcs also it went on for 13 years it’s all right there that Eren wasn’t gonna achieve his dream
As someone else said. The Season 4 Ending pissed EVERYONE Off. To the point that arguing about it is so difficult. Because even if you agree on most things, there's always that one thing you disagree on, like shipping for example that causes more disagreement than consensus. One thing's for sure and is not debatable. The Season 4 ending makes no sense and destroyed the whole Show. Not to the point of Game of Thrones Season 8 Level, but it's up there. It most especially destroyed Erens Character.
Cycle of hatred can't be broken BUT can be delayed. the ending makes no sense, why would 20% of world not take revenge on Paradis simply because allegedly Armin killed Eren. In an alternative ending where Eren went thru with a 100% rumbling, all of his enemies would be destroyed, leaving only his people. This meant that they can start anew with no conflict from the outside world. In this alternative ending the message of cycle of hatred continues can still be applied thru civil wars and dividing into multiple sections etc So in this ending, Eren would've saved his people but at the same time his idea of freedom is not concrete either
sooo just from my point of view... i was anime only btw...i dont quite like the ending in the anime tbh, to many ??? for me tbh and yeah maybe its the more human like ending with eren regreting his decition but still going the path because he wants to save his friends but still its not quite the ending i had hoped for with a show that made "war" and fighting for survival the topic for 3 seasons and than switched it more to the topic of "living in the past" and "forgiving past mistakes to break the cycle", which for me personally was fine to watch, like i didnt hate it but it didnt give me the finish i wanted for the show tbh. erens breakdown also was weird to me at first, because he should have known how it ends and he also should have known that even if he didnt want to die he had choosen this way so why have a mental breakdown when you clearly made the decition by your own. again its more human like i guess but i didnt quite like that ending for again the "war" and fighting for survival anime i wanted for so long... i mean in the end they are not even free which is again human like but doesnt quite bring the story to an end for me. its again repeating the war cycle no matter what we do (kinda)... i dont even know how i would have finished the anime but yeah that are my thoughts on it, still one of the best if not the best anime in the last years (storywise) just to make it a bit clearer - i probably would have liked it more if the cycle at least would have been broken so to say as than erens actions would have made a difference. now eren just sayed to himself "lets kill humanity to take all the hatred on me and let my friends be the saviours"... cool that he did that and its logical for me at least that he didnt see any other chance but than his actions should have mattered more in the end at least i think so. cheers everybody!
I beleive there are going to be 6 chapters of Requiem, and that the anime adaptation in 2024 will only be the first chapter. Either way, I consider Requiem as the true canon.
I feel like people dont understand the concept of tragedy. Yes, 80% of the population died and war still existed. The author was making a statement on the violent tendencies of human nature so thsts probably how the story should have ended. I can't speak to the manga but the anime endung was pretty good.
The problem for a lot of people come from things like why did Falco suddenly have wings ? And I really didn't like they fought hundreds of titan shifters that stood around and did nothing while they hung around defeated it was stupid Connie and Jean should've died like 30 times. I'm fine with the plot overall it's a lot of smaller things for me.
The major plotlines are fine....but lots of the smaller details were just rough. Annie being easily forgiven, Eren turning out to be a bitch, Mikasa kissing his decapitated head, how the fuck the heroes survived the final battle.....
@@rotimigbadebo9609annie dosent get forgotten... eren isnt a bitch... Yeah mikasa kissed erens head, nothing much else to it... And the heros have been trained to fight titans since the day they were born
@@rotimigbadebo9609 I feel like people also just conveniently forget that at no point did Eren actually want to kill his friends. They only survived because he was doing it for them and says as much in the anime and manga. He is completely successful in his 80% eradication plan. The main group "surviving" is not really a plot hole. As Eren said, the outcome was always the same so I guess that's why I forgive some of the little things like Falco with wings. Its convenient but even if he didn't have them Eren would have probably set up the fight to have himself killed after killing 80% anyway.

I like the Requiem ending much better. I have a huge problem with the inconsistencies of the characters and themes right at the end of the manga and anime. I have no problem with the idea that human violence will never end, but i do want a story that stays true to themes you have seen for 99% of the story. Eren telling Armin that he didn't know why he did the rumbling was ridiculous. He was so focused the entire time and seemed to know what his mission was... Only to tell us later he didn't know. There was also so much focus on death meaning something. Several times characters asked if there death meant anything...if it made a difference. So I like how Requiem ties the theme of "meaning" back into the ending. For me, if it stays as good as it is right now, i will consider Requiem the true ending
I feel like this video could've been trimmed down alot. By 6:30, he's made the same point about "what is requiem and why should we care" twice, you could start the video at 6:00 and lose nothing.
No Reqium still sucks for some of the same reasons, aka forced romance and is worse in the genocide apologism regard as its overtly pro-eren rather than just downplaying his actions as babyraging instead of fascism.
I thought the manga ending was truly amazing it was one of the only times in manga that I could not stop reading I could not wait to turn the next page it kept me on my toes I couldn't believe what was happening even if I didn't like it it was the author story to tell and I found it amazing even though even though your feelings might be hurt because of the decisions that Eran made you made it very rash decision and it costed him a lot enerything what is very compelling story and I found it to be very original can't say that for 90% of manga
While the "140 means freedom and Eren never made it there because he is not free" is kinda cool. He died in 138 ... so even if the series continued he wouldn't have made it to 140.
Yes, Eren committing 100% genocide and living happily with his “wife” and “child after killing all his friends. Is so peak bro. Beautiful storytelling.
@@daizenmarcurio none of those characters purposefully or directly died from Erens hands lol. It was literally casualties. Aot requim is having eren directly and purposefully kill his friends which completely goes against his character. Learn how to use your brain if you have one.

I just want to see an alternate ending to where Mikasa confesses her love to Eren and they run away together and live Eren's remaining 4 years in the cabin. And also the events that should occur with Marley more than likely unleashing a full fledge assault on Paradise and how the main characters confront it...thats a perfect alternate ending in my eyes
The only changes I want to see is that Eren and Mikasa finally express how much they mean to each other and they find a quiet place so that they can finally be together as one physically. Second change is that Mikasa and the Yaegerists protect Eren and the RUMBLING is a success making Paradis Island the new military leader and the new center of the world. Whatever ends up being changed, I just hope it won't take 2 years to be animated and released and I hope the animation quality doesn't drop. Also I hope it sets up a spin off or a sequel, or even a prequel anthology series where it shows the lives of a few of the more interesting Scout Team members or just characters that didn't get as much screen time as the core group. Even if it's an anthology series about the older generation of the Scout Regiment like Captain Erwin. Honestly I would be happy with almost anything that would be related to AOT, whether it's a prequel, sequel, spin off, anthology or any other type of series that would remain faithful to the AOT story. As long as it's in the AOT vein and the story is written care, by someone who genuinely appreciates the original series and it's animated with passion in a proper safe work environment, I'm sure true fans of AOT will enjoy it. Also I hope it's done concurrently with the release of the manga (if a manga is made first). However they choose to have it done, we probably won't see it until 2030 lol.
Yeah you won’t be getting any of that. I’ve read the chapters that are out and (spoilers) Eren and historia have a thing. Mikasa sorta gets abandoned like a crude NTR comic and the actual start of the chapters take place right after Armin is eaten by the weird cow pig thing.
@@expertarcher8542 lol and this is supposed to have been done to appease fans? Seems more like a giant f*ck you from the author lol. He's like "if you don't like the ending, then I'll f*ck it up even more for you! Hahahahaha." Lol I can see that being the case. That just makes Eren seem like a complete piece of shit and makes Mikasa seem like a soulless shell. I hope atleast Reiner gets killed in this new garbage ending. I also hope Jean gets what he deserves too! Lol. I'm just glad that I went ahead and read the manga when AOT went into its huge delay so I already knew the garbage ending was coming. If they were going to change 1 thing only, I really wanted it to be the fact that Eren and Mikasa hooked up. Even if it was shown in like a flashback or something where she caught Eren giving himself a hand and they ended up having sex. Or maybe one time after a successful mission the team was drinking and Eren and Mikasa had too much to drink and Mikasa just took charge. F*ck even if she would have atleast kissed him before she f*ckin ended him in the Titan mouth. Just one meaningful kiss would have made a difference in my opinion. To Eren and the audience alike. There's just so much more that can be done with the characters and story so I hope the author does more stories in the AOT world. Even if he allows other writers to create something that he approves of because it seems a lot of manga authors just get bored or writing the same characters and the same story for such a long period of time. I just hope to see the AOT story continue. And I hate NTR lol.
I always treat fan stuff like fan stuff, I don’t know if there is any ending I hate so much I rewrite it in my head, Bleach is probably the closest thing to that though, because Aizen ex Machima is dumb
Honestly, Eren being the father of Historia's child was a huge turnoff point for me of Requiem. I never got the impression the two of them were a 'thing', so seeing that was just intensely jarring to me.
Exactly, someone gets it. They built up Eren and mikasa’s relationship throughout the entire show. Throwing it away last minute feels completely unnatural
Yeah it did feel off to me, I get that it's not a romance story by any means but I would've liked a bit more exploration on both of their dynamics, esp since having sex just once is not a guaranteed pregnancy I get that aotnr is just a last 3 chp rewrite buta lot of things felt off to me since way before T T
@bluechikorita .........dude an entire race of people who can have their mental, emotional, and Physical bodies completely altered on a whim by a member of the ROYAL family who has access to the FOUNDING titan and you say that one night wouldn't be enough in this kind of story.
I like what you said about Requiem, but there’s one reason for me to disagree with the story. It’s about what you said that “Eren is a true Evil” in this story. What I love about Aot is that every character did something dirty in order to fight for what they strive to achieve, getting forced into a corner to do bad, and Eren being pure Evil for me disturbed that concept. Eren in AE found a way to save majority of his friends and even paradis, but there is always a sacrifice. He did said in the anime that what he did was all he could do to satisfy everyone he loved and the sacrifice is him. Eren being evil and if you are correct that Eren will kill even his friends is just not an Eren thing to do, Hannes and Sasha died and Eren was losing his mind when he found out. What more if he has to kill every and each one of his friends. Requiem is a very shounen for me, characters choosing to be evil cuz they can, feels very awkward for me if you put it in Aot. I do like if someone could further explain to me on what Requiem is about, if I am wrong about requiem. A different way to see it…
I just want to add that I’m getting into a conclusion that people loved the evil Eren so much that revealing that it was an act to push his friends away is a bummer to some people cuz he’s actually pathetic. Eren has always and always been pathetic since day 1. He really isn’t the all knowing genius mastermind where he plays 10D chess like lelouch or Light Yagami or L, Eren is really just a pathetic yet simple person who got his hands on a power to change things, like a random person given the power to overthrow Kim Jong Un with just a click of a button.
@@sebuckropronk715 I kind of disagree with your Eren character analysis. He's not evil because he can be, and he didn't "get his hands on power." just take a look at chapter 131 and how he cries in front of Ramzi. he doesnt do it because he wants to, he does it because he _needs to._ the world hates eldians and corners them. this is not the freedom Eren wants, and he does not want to watch his people get destroyed for just existing. if he wants to 100% make sure his people survive, he _has to_ do the rumbling. Isayama himself kind of wrote Eren into a corner where he has no other choice. he doesn't want to kill his friends... but what about all the sacrifices that led him here? what about Faye? what about all those scouts? if he stops, the cycling of racism will only continue. in AOTNR, this is what makes Eren so interesting. also he isnt pure evil in AOTNR. he clearly does not want to fight his friends, especially armin. Eren didn't stumble into power either. take a look at chapter 121 where he very intentionally manipulates Grisha. if you say he was just a "slave to freedom," it takes away all his agency; it takes away all his growth and character moments that led him to the present. Eren very intentionally grabbed power with both hands. i personally think our current ending is so much more shounen. everyone survives with plot armor, talking solves all their problems, and everyone shows sympathy for Eren. IMO the whole alliance teaming up and being the "good guys" in the end feels very childish. all of this combined kind of takes away from the moral complexities of AOT. especially with how Armin doesn't really disagree with Eren in paths? the anime did fix some of it, but the manga was unbelievable. ESPECIALLY the manga chapter 139.
It's sad how people are so self-centered that a piece of fiction has to have multiple endings for it to be considered good. Instead of people accepting what they have been given and appreciating the effort that went into it, they want it to be adjusted to gratify them. I mean I'm not against an alternative ending, and I'm eager to see it, but it feels like most people act like there was supposed to be an alternative.
Tell me about it sipha its even more apparent if someone is a quintessential quintuplets fan and or a we never learn fan long story short we never learn got multiple endings which everyone hated while quintuplets got one ending and everyone would have preferred multiple endings
Making an alternate ending it is fine and dandy.
Screaming that it is better than the original one is another thing.
That is where the debate lies.

Not trolling either.
@user-wy8ve5nr2n I'm actually not emotional. Its fact. The writing was terrible. Here, I'll break it down to you so that you can see how much Isayama f'ed up the ending AND the story:
1) We find out that Eren Yaeger had no character development whatsoever.
Three, you don't know who I am ^_^
Four, it's not an opinion. Its storytelling facts. He broke storytelling rules and I'm just pointing it out. Its bad writing.
Also, how I feel about the story itself is another discussion entirely but I wont be getting into that.
Eren being able to transform into colossal Titan
If you look at the structure of founding Eren during rumbling, from the back u will see a pair of legs followed by a huge rib cage of bones propelling the entire thing forward like a centipede or hallucigenia.
Dude, for once, can we stop looking at things from the "shipping" side which is stupid btw and never was intended to be for that reason
It doesn't come out of nowhere. And frankly makes way more sense than what the official ending portrayed.
Can we stop the shipping shit it's getting annoying
Glad you've been enjoying the project!! We're real excited to see everyone's reactions when Part 4 drops. :D If you're ever up for an interview with the team, hmu! We've got some great stuff in store for the fanending!
Been a fan since I stumbled on a video that talked about AOTNR chapter 1. Looking forward to the whole slice of 🍞 for ch 4.

Y’all keep forgetting, Erens goal was never to break the cycle of violence. His goal was to make sure his friends live long happy lives. And they did that (without him)

Aot will truly never end.
Oh my god, yes! It took me a long time to realize exactly what was bugging me about the ending..... Eren never fully became the bad guy, and it makes no sense that he went on a genocide. Also, poor Mikasa. She loses in every ending... The girl deserves better
and idiots say "ohh rtrrds hating on ending because it wasn't a happy ending" and just ignoring nonsensical character assassinations and bad writing.
It’s my cannon Fr

I was so confused hearing this
Was going to mention this xd
Eren was able to transform still when he hot separated with the Hallucegenia thing because "Eren's full body is in the mouth of the Founding Eren Titan"
The explosion only blown up the neck thus Eren's human body remains good and Dandy.
That is not really plot armor esque comapared to Reiner surving a literal beheading.
Its the one fan made ending i read (requiem probably)and I got goosebumps to the point where I thought how isayama was going to top it .
Spoilers:
Where eren actually has a baby with historia.
This ending honestly sucks.
@@aarontsafack16
good job because you basically have said
"Why does Eren need Zeke to continue the rumbling when Ymir has decided to not listen to the royal blood descendants of their lineage?"
Anime ending was the worst ending of all endings according to that one comment alone
Read aotnoreqiuem
Im happy we are getting English dub soon
What?😂
Is even worst, every eldian king had the ability to change the past and somehow the best they could end up with was this mess
It took like a month for me. I was able to find some peace in FMA Brotherhood though @@Ideophagous

If the production span is short maybe they will use cgi, I wonder how many people they have in studio eclypse?
They were menacing because the direction was better
Apparently no matter what ending we choose, Mikasa still loses😢
Mikasa can find Happiness with Jean. Or, She can also have a fantastic end while fighting Eren.
just believing the cabin scene is the "timeline" makes it all better, then she says "you also remember armin... when eren came to us?" lmao
Mikasa got Jeans thunderspear, ending defenders say it didn't happen but we know Mikasa was hoe enough to write off her man Eren and family zone him
Canon eren loves mikasa so she won
Who cares anyway, eren thought of her more like a sister than lover and to be fair she’s god damn annoying and can barely think for herself
It was a retcon bro, she also shouldn’t hear erens speech when the rumbling started
The founding Titan cannot alter its memories, like erasing them, but it can still communicate with Ackermans through path. As simple as that.
@@fs400ionmikasa says: Armin, you remembered too, didn’t you?

Ymir gave Eren a new body, the cycle of hatred breaking was never the goal, Eren wanted his friends to live a long life and he did that. Also it was longer than just 50 years it was centuries before the island was destroyed. I don't think you actually know what happened at the end of AOT.
Just because the online want destroyed in 50 years doesn’t mean they weren’t still at war.
Smh🤦♂️
It's like saying 80% of humanity died in vain because earth will be gone in 4 billion years anyway
Death note ending is ok, I have no clue why people complained
At least they didn't just say that light had no clue what he wanted to do the entire time
@user-wy8ve5nr2nI get what your saying, but I don’t think Death Note or AOT should have a different ending simply because I wanted the MC villain to win, Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad both ended with the MC villain losing, and having a seemingly meaningless journey, but in those shows there are far less plot holes and more consistent writing, that’s my biggest problem with the ending, the last few episodes of AOT felt like a different series in some good and bad ways but the bad outweighed the good imo

I think neither ending is better. But have both is better than only one. I think both are super interesting conclusions to this story
u don't get it bro.

On the hammer page I am devout ❤
AOE's and non believers were both correct. Everyone wins!! I love AOT.
The way Code Geass did it was beautiful. Personally don’t think Eren needed any redemption. I respected his decision
If the vow was truly broken, then killing Zeke would do absolutely nothing
@@ChrisJones-xs6hg I completely agree, there was no point to it.
Cool fact, AoTNR fanending also fixes that

Muv Luv did it better, AoT is a cheap copy
Nick my G. You are the UNDISPUTED anime talker on the planet
I can't imagine eren with anyone else other than mikasa. It sucks that this ending makes eren be with historia
Loving your videos Nick !!!!
I do understand people's feelings regarding the ending,
but this is an insult to the creative vision of the author Isayama.
An author may not simply choose to draw a pretty story, but try to convey a
MESSAGE !
Whether Isayama did a good job conveying it, when fans seem to understand so little, is questionable,
but i would not want Isayama to change his Message per se.
That is the authors choice.
And part of the 'fandom' is just horribly immature.
So if and all this ending becomes cannon, it can be called "what if " ending .
it is when alternatives plots in stories like for example with American comic books such as Marvel does "what if" stories that became fan favorites, that they end up becoming their own storyline and/or cannon outlooks in such things like marvel's alternate universe like Earth X one of the biggest and great storylines in Marvel where a lot of your characters most famous storylines come from.
i do believe Manga can do the same thing as well with some of their most famous manga as well
Keep up the awesome work and videos Nick love the video

The cycle of Hatred not being broken was the WHOLE FUCKING POINT.
I....actually have nothing to say 😐
Cycle of hatred can't be broken BUT can be delayed.
the ending makes no sense, why would 20% of world not take revenge on Paradis simply because allegedly Armin killed Eren.
In an alternative ending where Eren went thru with a 100% rumbling, all of his enemies would be destroyed, leaving only his people. This meant that they can start anew with no conflict from the outside world.
In this alternative ending the message of cycle of hatred continues can still be applied thru civil wars and dividing into multiple sections etc
So in this ending, Eren would've saved his people but at the same time his idea of freedom is not concrete either
THEN WHAT WAS POINT!
sooo just from my point of view... i was anime only btw...i dont quite like the ending in the anime tbh, to many ??? for me tbh and yeah maybe its the more human like ending with eren regreting his decition but still going the path because he wants to save his friends but still its not quite the ending i had hoped for with a show that made "war" and fighting for survival the topic for 3 seasons and than switched it more to the topic of "living in the past" and "forgiving past mistakes to break the cycle", which for me personally was fine to watch, like i didnt hate it but it didnt give me the finish i wanted for the show tbh. erens breakdown also was weird to me at first, because he should have known how it ends and he also should have known that even if he didnt want to die he had choosen this way so why have a mental breakdown when you clearly made the decition by your own. again its more human like i guess but i didnt quite like that ending for again the "war" and fighting for survival anime i wanted for so long... i mean in the end they are not even free which is again human like but doesnt quite bring the story to an end for me. its again repeating the war cycle no matter what we do (kinda)... i dont even know how i would have finished the anime but yeah that are my thoughts on it, still one of the best if not the best anime in the last years (storywise)
just to make it a bit clearer - i probably would have liked it more if the cycle at least would have been broken so to say as than erens actions would have made a difference. now eren just sayed to himself "lets kill humanity to take all the hatred on me and let my friends be the saviours"... cool that he did that and its logical for me at least that he didnt see any other chance but than his actions should have mattered more in the end at least i think so.
cheers everybody!
I beleive there are going to be 6 chapters of Requiem, and that the anime adaptation in 2024 will only be the first chapter.
Either way, I consider Requiem as the true canon.
What a dorky take 😂 fan head canon > Isayama gtfoh
I want the ending where the rumbling is complete 😈😈
Exactly, kind of how like WW1 was going to be the war to end all wars, and look how that turned out
@@rotimigbadebo9609annie dosent get forgotten... eren isnt a bitch...
I wish we got a better understanding of the "source of all living" and titans in general.
All I hop for in this new ending is that eren and Mikasa actually get married pls
Nick will never run out of content
isnt this a fan made ending ?
Yeah and it's far better than the ending we got for sure
Yes, but it follows the story beats/themes that Iseyama laid out before he forgot his own story.
@@wobbegong4366even tho isayama fumbled the ending, dude still got his 💰 from the consoomers who called it a “masterpiece” lol
@@ChocoBuns420 the world is truly a cruel place….
@@wobbegong4366 isayama does have some genius behind the scenes people giving him advice imo, by giving numerous interviews surrounding the controversy ending of AOT, it gets people hyper focused on a useless media known as fictional entertainment, doing that means more revenue gain, isayama may have ruined the potential of making AOT a literary timeless for future generations like Harry Potter, but the dude at least made sure he never has to work again.
God please protect this man at all costs
I feel like this video could've been trimmed down alot. By 6:30, he's made the same point about "what is requiem and why should we care" twice, you could start the video at 6:00 and lose nothing.
5:30 New ending info starts here.
That’s five minutes of my life I’ll never get back…
No Reqium still sucks for some of the same reasons, aka forced romance and is worse in the genocide apologism regard as its overtly pro-eren rather than just downplaying his actions as babyraging instead of fascism.
Oh it's fan made? No its not Canon? So there is no AOT alternate ending.
it's a fanfic to be more specific
You should mention that it's a FANMADE ending way earlier in the video + in the title...
Fan made head canon is still fan made head canon.
Okay…… So whats your point?
what is this guy waffling about?😭
Its not about the ending, but the titans we killed along the way
AoTnR is the true ending and those who get that 139 is a compete utter insult understand that
Attack on Titan is like evangelion there can be multiple endings to a story so complex.
Bro's videos are always top notch quality 👌🏾the consistency in not just the quality of the video, but content is commendable
This ending is leagues better than the garbage ending we got lol
lol no tf it isnt. it panders to shippers and tries to give ppl a happy ending. shit is ass.
Yes, Eren committing 100% genocide and living happily with his “wife” and “child after killing all his friends. Is so peak bro. Beautiful storytelling.
@@aarontsafack16 yeah its not like like he stopped hange, Sasha and Floch from dying cuz it seems they didn't deserve to live long happy lives lol.
@@daizenmarcurio none of those characters purposefully or directly died from Erens hands lol. It was literally casualties. Aot requim is having eren directly and purposefully kill his friends which completely goes against his character. Learn how to use your brain if you have one.
@@aarontsafack16He sacrificed many of his friends, the Yeagerists, the Scouts, and Hange, who couldn't throw away everything, couldn't change anything.
Historia to Erin: "I hope Mikasa and Armin don't find out."
For those who get that reference, you're a chainsawman fan.
Pretty sounds and colors ✨️
Not mentioning that it's a fanfiction until seven minutes in was so intentional.
And I hate NTR lol.
bro really want an romantic story when 80% humanity trampled to death
edit:💀
I would play a million for this ending
I always treat fan stuff like fan stuff, I don’t know if there is any ending I hate so much I rewrite it in my head, Bleach is probably the closest thing to that though, because Aizen ex Machima is dumb
Honestly, Eren being the father of Historia's child was a huge turnoff point for me of Requiem. I never got the impression the two of them were a 'thing', so seeing that was just intensely jarring to me.
Exactly, someone gets it. They built up Eren and mikasa’s relationship throughout the entire show. Throwing it away last minute feels completely unnatural
Yeah it did feel off to me,
I get that it's not a romance story by any means but I would've liked a bit more exploration on both of their dynamics, esp since having sex just once is not a guaranteed pregnancy
I get that aotnr is just a last 3 chp rewrite buta lot of things felt off to me since way before T T
@bluechikorita
.........dude an entire race of people who can have their mental, emotional, and Physical bodies completely altered on a whim by a member of the ROYAL family who has access to the FOUNDING titan and you say that one night wouldn't be enough in this kind of story.
@@jefferybrown6473cause it doesnt make sense at all Story wise
Right like for erehisu to be a thing, you need to completely remove mikasa from the story
That was a surprising revaluation
He's not evil because he can be, and he didn't "get his hands on power."
just take a look at chapter 131 and how he cries in front of Ramzi. he doesnt do it because he wants to, he does it because he _needs to._ the world hates eldians and corners them. this is not the freedom Eren wants, and he does not want to watch his people get destroyed for just existing. if he wants to 100% make sure his people survive, he _has to_ do the rumbling.
Donzo! DONZO!!! you wild for that one.
