Hi, from Iceland! I love your videos and like how you express yourself. Don't let the haters get to you, they are looking for something and someone to bully because of their own insecurities and unhappiness. Let´s hope they can see some light in their life and focus on that, instead of trying to make other people join them in their sadness. You light up my life and give me ideas I can alter and make "my own" in my small scale pottery. Continue being the bright YOU, and let the sunshine shine on you,.

These are lovely. I’ve just found your channel and binge watched a lot of your videos. I am a wheel potter but you’re persuading me to start to do some hand building as your dishes are so lovely. Could you please tell me your kiln schedule? Also do you thin all your glazes? I haven’t used Spectrum glazes yet but interested to try. Maybe a video on glazes and washes and how you use would be very interesting to some of us? Thanks so much. Really enjoying your videos. Lynne NZ

Ohhh I am so happy to see that you are now inspired to hand-build! 👏🏼👏🏼 I have a very simple firing schedule. I think it’s - 1-600 degrees- 4 hours, 600-1000- 4 hours, 1000-1200 degrees- 4 hours (the temperatures are in degree celcius). This was set-up by my kiln guy and I don’t ever make any changes to it.. but I’ll check again and respond if there’s anything different.
I don’t thin all my glazes, just the ones that look thick in the jar. Spectrum glazes usually don’t mind being thinned but amaco glazes loose their coverage/ color payoff if thinned too much.

Thank you so much for the reply Jas. We use the metric system in New Zealand so no problem with kiln temp. I’m trying out some cookie cutters but unfortunately not from Amazon as their shipping is astronomical to NZ, always more than the goods themselves so don’t buy. I have to try and find locally or on Ali Express or Timu but not always the best. Another thing I would love to see if you ever feel like it is to see your process for preparing for a market and how often you do one and the setting up etc. How you price your pieces, transport them etc.
I really like your thorough explanations and look forward to seeing your new postings. Kind regards Lynne N.Z

One more thing, wondering brand/model of your kiln. I'm looking to buy a new one and am somewhat torn. I have an old kiln (kiln sitter) and Karen the kiln has been know to be judgy and spiteful on a few fires.

I use Nabertherm and have the 45lt and about 190lt capacity kilns. They have served me well so far
