To this day, Paul McCartney is the only musician who brought me to tears during his concert. I'm not saying this as a bad thing, but because it shows that Paul is a very genuine human being. I started crying when he was singing "Here Today" which he wrote about what he wanted to say to John after he was murdered. I lost my sister to unnatural causes so the song got me crying. I love what Paul said about not working music, but playing it. As a musician, I needed to hear this. Thanks Sir Paul!

Virtually everyone watched that broadcast.

During the time they were producing "Get Back," The Beatles harbored resentment towards Paul for leading the project. However, in 2021, with the release of the "Get Back" documentary and the "Let It Be" box set, this became a significant year for The Beatles in modern history. Despite this, no one has expressed gratitude towards Paul for his contribution to the "Get Back" documentary, which has been widely viewed worldwide. I consider myself lucky to have watched it in HD and would like to extend my thanks to Paul for his efforts.
I think more than a few people have expressed awe towards him though, having seen Get Back, and realised how talented and prolific he was, especially witnessing him making up Get Back on the spot. That was like seeing a blue whale give birth - it hadn't been seen before!!
The basic problem was personal relations vs. musical judgment: Paul's musical judgments, which as far as I can see (or hear) were right, would also inevitably seem like personal domineering. But I am glad that we have things like the bass part on Something, which George at first rejected.
The other 3 all resented Paul on many songs b/c he was a bit of a dictator in the studio, especially with his own songs. But, he could back it up with results so they kept quiet about it. You do have to have somebody willing to be in charge otherwise the others will all squabble about trivial things and never get anything done - or - it's not very good. Bravo for Yesterday - voted the greatest song ever recorded.
The Beatles made an enormous difference in billions of lives and the world in general!! In my opinion, mostly positive. It's amazing that four guys who did not do that great in school, did not go to college, had such a mastery on words and language and sentences. Four geniuses got together and made music.
School teaches what "they" want you to learn. What the Beatles did was use their innate gifts and talents and listen to their inner guidance to create. School teaches exactly the opposite. I don't think any of them read music either. I don't think Paul does and look what came through him to create? You can't learn that in school.
I already have been considering PM our greatest living legend on this planet (in my opinion anyway) and then yesterday I heard "She's Leaving Home" again in a new unit of time as an adult. OMG! That just tripled my feelings about this being!

One thing that struck me the most and made me admire the Beatles more was on learning that in “1964, days before playing Jacksonville, they protested playing if blacks would be segregated.” Wow, they already knew and embraced equality and inclusivity young as they were. They have demonstrated the real meaning of loving thy neighbor more than the self proclaimed Christians of today.
The Beatles early stuff up to 66 was mostly written for them. Only later when Bill came along did they start to compose more of the lyrics themselves. They were just a garage band, ok for live gigs where audience noise covered for their very ordinary instrumental skills. But for exacting studio work, they were sub par and remained so for several years. Decca thought they were crap. George Martin thought their music was rubbish, and of the alleged 100 songs L&M had supposedly penned, only "Love Me Do" was remotely good enough to be recorded, and then only with sessions musicians playing the instrumental track. No Pete Best, no Ringo.... Your idolising of these clowns is misplaced. All the above is part of the official Beatles narrative.
@Martoon you have no idea what tf you're on about. When they went to Hamburg they spent 16 hours on stage and covering for other bands. Their material was all original. Where do you have proof of some chode name Bill write anything for them? The Decca recording sessions got released and they don't sound like a mediocre band to me? They didn't even have garage bands in the 50s and early 60s. When they played live, they kicked ass. Do you realize they were the first band to play an 8 song set? When Buddy Holly went on tour he played like 3 songs and then Richie Valans played like 3 songs and so on. The Beatles were the first band to sell out stadiums. There's tons of footage and remastered audio of them playing live where THEY WERE ABLE TO PLAY IN TIME DUE TO RINGOS SYMBOLS. 60 years later when the audio was finally remastered we were able to hear a band play that couldn't even hear themselves play and they were fucking brilliant. George Martin didn't know what to do with them because he was a classical engineer. The Decca sessions were good, the anthology shit was good, you're just some sock cucker who will never be in the same league as The Beatles or better yet a garage band. How does a band like The Beatles suddenly get good in 66 and drop Rubber Soul and Revolver? A garage band can't even keep time you schmuck. Go get your shine box.
I agree he's creatively better than most, one reason is, he placed himself among other creative people. I'm sure Paul would agree that this video is about the creative process which many people live every day. Some of the best stuff is yet to be known.

It is absolutely true: "All you need is Love." What needs to be realized, though, is how to make Love manifest in the world, how to make Love real in our lives. Love flows throughout the Universe ... in everything, through everything, around everything, everywhere, always. We don't make Love. We don't produce Love. We don't give Love. Love doesn't come from us, it flows through us. We can choose to participate in the flow of Love through the Universe. We can choose to direct the flow of Love and to concentrate it where it is most needed in the moment. And we can do this through an open Heart, with the aid of an open mind functioning in service to the Heart, in service to Love. And the more we allow and assist the flow of Love through our being, the more Love we will experience in our life. We experience Love simply by participating in the flow of Love, as consciously as possible. Love is to be given, not from us, but through us. Love can be manifested in countless ways. And always remember to love yourself.

I've loved Paul since I was 8 years old, many many years ago 😩have always loved him, always will 💜
The Beatles are as important to me today as they were in the early 60s when as a toddler I ran around singing 'I wanna hold your hand'. Love love love!
My earliest memory is dancing around the living room in a diaper singing "Oh-Bla-Dee, Oh-Bla-Da" with absolute glee! I don't want to know a world without this man in it❤
I wasa 4 when the Beatles first appeared on Ed Sullivan. Everyone, all ages, loved them, and still do! I remember hearing later how in NY and other big cities, traffic & crime stopped, toilets didn't flush, people on the street watched the tv s in the store windows. Virtually everyone watched that broadcast.
Beautiful little video!! Paul is sooo soothing! Such a role model! Beatles forever! Paul Forever!!

Love the man,the music, the heart.
Paul McCartneys music is so far ahead. It really is made for tomorrow, the Beatles were years ahead of the game.

It is absolutely true: "All you need is Love."
What needs to be realized, though, is how to make Love manifest in the world, how to make Love real in our lives.
