Keith McKeone This kit is the only street legal one in Switzerland, so yes I would buy it again because I don’t have the choice. But if I was building a car for track use only I would go with a different kit. Probably the one from Antonenko555, or l’Aunsport, or maybe The Project if I can afford it... 😅
ahh okay, Im looking to go 5x114.3 as well on my gc8, I was wondering did you change axles when doing it? Because ive been trying to find info because I want to swap out the knuckles and hubs from the 06 sti, but im not sure if the stock gc8 wrx axles will work with the 5x114.3 hubs. Do you know if they will and did you make a video about the swap. Thanks
Monty I don’t think the GC axles fit the 5x114.3 hubs, but definitely double check ;) Also i used literally everything from the STI so no need to merge GC and GD components. The only thing that is still from a GC in my car is the chassis 😝 i have some videos on the swap if you’re interested
I would love to widebody my sti type r .. but at the same time i dont want to ruin the originality of it.... maybe some day . For now i will subscribe and watch your story .. nice watching the transformation
@@SwissTuned in the uk so 2.5rs basicaly doesnt excist you will find the p1 or the type r in the 2 door..both reasonably rare ... so if i did it to a donar i would probs replicate what you have done with a the 4 door.as i am probs kinda of a purest wouldnt want to chop a rare car less it was already hacked and ruined ... or i do have an old turbo 2000 wagon that has suffered some rust . So could always be an interesting project to try wide that out .. anyways i like your build man only just found it so will have to back up and watch the rest of them about your engine ect

Hey I see you’re running brembos, did you upgrade the knuckle/hub to 5x114.3 or did you stick with 5x100?

Oh yeah don't hack into the type r, it is way to rare for that. Try and find a cheap L coupe or a 2.5 rs instead, those are much cheaper too ;)
