I'm slowly getting through my Yankee stash - they just take a long time to get through. I haven't been to B&BW for about 3 or 4 months now. I'm holding off on buying anymore candles till the autumn candles come out. But I have bought a ton of books so I'm replacing one obsession with another!
Great empties! 🎉 I love Fall yoga pants by the fire. I feel you on certain things winning out. For me Scentsy almost always wins during busy times. I just find it generally easier to get through, easier to clean and often easier to leave and still get some throw.
Great empties! It's always very encouraging to see the empties of candles and vendor wax, and I will explain why. Several months back, I moved to a new location. I struggled with wax performance at the old location, and really thought I would have a much better time of it at the new location. Not so. I am having the most difficult time getting a good fragrance throw in my office. I've tried 20 watt warmers, 25 watt, 40 watt...all Scentsy, and nothing worked. Today, I pulled out a Julie Ann Home 24 watt hot plate warmer I purchased from Amazon...almost no throw at all. So - I will probably bite the bullet and go back to candles in my office, which I really, really do not want to do. Now - a while back...maybe in February or March, I did try to warm a couple of Yankee candles, using a candle crock and a hot plate (from Candle Warmers that advertised the use of candles with this particular warmer that I purchased), and the end result there was wax being splattered all over the walls in both locations where I used them. Wax is very hard to clean off the walls...let me just say it was a complete disaster and a mess. I am at a frustrating stage with this office to say the least, but I'm in it 10-12 hours a day during the work week, so I have to find something that works. There is a solution, I know...I just have to find it. My next step is to search the Scentsy black market for a Scentsy Accord warmer. I will test both vendor and Scentsy wax to see if that works. At the same time, I will probably purchase a couple of B&BW candles to use in the candle crock and the Candle Warmers hot plate. Since they are not as tall, maybe I won't have the wax splatter problem as I did with the YC. If those two options do not work, I will try chopping the candles. Thanks for allowing me to post about my office wax woes. If it's too much, feel free to delete the post - no harm done. Thanks again for sharing your non-Scentsy wax empties! Awesome video, as always!!
A couple things to try 1. Burn down your candles a bit first before using the candle warmer. Sometimes they “burp” when warming and if they are really full I can imagine that contributed to the wall and wax issue. 2. You might try a tea light warmer in your office. They usually throw great but obviously have to be watched which limits their ease of use. Sounds like you’re in there a lot so hopefully that won’t be an issue. Keep me posted!
That can be so frustrating. Are you using just one warmer or are you using three? One of my smallest rooms is also oddly the hardest to scent. So I use three warmers equally spaced out in a triangle in the room. It resolved my issue - typically I put two cubes in one warmer and one cube in each of the other two. Worth a try if you haven’t given it a go yet.
@@StacysSagas thank you so much for that recommendation. I have looked around the office briefly to try to figure out where to put additional warmers, but I just don’t have any place to set them. However, I think I need to revisit that, and maybe try to figure something out that way as well. Your feedback helps tremendously because it lets me know there are others who have had a difficult time with smaller rooms, and we’re able to find a solution to the problem. Thanks so much again for your feedback!
Hi Patricia! I just smelled Cherry Blossom Pound Cake at BBW yesterday. I think I would like that one. Can you tell me your method of chopping candles? I need to try that. Thanks!
I usually just watch a video (search chopping Bath & Body works candles). Generally you freeze the candle, plunk out the contracted wax. Remove wicks. Bring up to room temp and then microwave in increments / all sides (maybe. 20 secs each side?) and chop into chunks the size of which you would put in a warmer. Store in a scent safe polypropylene bag. Videos help explain it better but that’s the Cole’s notes version.
Enjoyed seeing what you got through! I have a good bit of SGA I bought last year and I have just Cider Lane by itself, I didn’t warm yet but will definitely get into it this fall. It’s a favorite! I agree the soft wax throws well it feels kinda yukky to touch
I tend to avoid dupes from vendors; just because I’m in Canada and if I can buy the candle and chop it it’s SO much cheaper. I do love Cider Lane! Now saying that, I tend to reach for chopped candles the least in my stash so 🤷♀️. SGA wax throws really well for me so hopefully it does for you too.
I’ve started chopping BBW candles too and love it, they do well that way and if it’s a good sale it’s a lot of wax for pretty cheap. SGA does pretty well for me mostly. Hope to see Cider Lane back at BBW this year it’s so good!
Thanks Patricia! I am curious about your wax melter - is it in any of your videos? I recently saw someone using a candle warming lamp and wondered about trying one for my vendor candles.
It’s just a wax warmer from years ago from Michael’s. it’s the Ashland brand and I use another dish on it now, but it’s wide enough to hold a candle with the dish off. I do have a candle lamp but I don’t use it often.
Great empties Patricia! Julie's offer on a building was accepted! Wahoo!!
That’s terrific news! Thanks for the update
I love Scentsationals Unicorn Cake! I have a few left in my stash. Great empties!
I think I have 2-3 left. I smile every time I use that one.
Thanks for sharing your empties Patricia!! Happy Melting.😊
Have a great rest of your week Susan

Yes it’s easy for addicts to switch addictions
I just use Scentsy but I enjoy listening to you!
Oh thank you! I’m like that way with certain vendors I’m not interested in, but I watch because I like the creator making the video

I agree. Scentsy is a bit more set and forget it
Enjoy your video
Thank you!
Always enjoy hearing your reviews!! Thanks for sharing ..you get though a really good amount of wax. Impressive. ❤
I use up a lot of partials each month so that helps with empties
Thank you for sharing Patricia! ❤
Thanks for watching Veronica

Not had a scoopable for years but didn't like
Throws well but more high maintenance to change from the warmers
Scentsationals and bhag do last years
They do!
