  • Rajgir is 100 km from patna- It has many tourist attractions plus it is a holy place for Jains and HIndu’s.
We had spent one and a half day in Rajgir exploring places to tourist interest in and around Rajgir.
    Date of journey - 7th feb 2023.
Following are the place we visited as part of this day’s tour of Rajgir - Bihar.
Rajgir Wildlife Safari - It is spread across 191 hectares - entry fee - Rs 100 and Rs 150 for Safari Bus Ticket.
Veerayatan - We had lunch at this place, timings are 12 to 1 pm.
Rs 110 charges for meal, timings. Ginger, Garlic not used in food here.
Breakfast 8 am to 9 am
Lunch 12 noon to 1 pm
    Dinner - 5 pm to 6 pm.
Rajgir Nature Safari - We took the bus from the same place from where we started our Wildlife safari. This time we went to see the Suspension Bridge & Glass Bridge. The fee is Rs 150 plus Rs 150 so total Rs 300.
Try to avoid visiting nature safari as it is too crowded, even on weekdays this place is crowded.
Cyclopean Wall - We went to see 45 km long, spread on the 5 mountains in the ancient city of Rajgir.
    Guide in Rajgir - Sanjay ji - 87097 15634
Jarasandh Ka Akhada - This place has mythological connection from Mahabharat, it is believed that the Jarasandh & Bhima fought the battle at this place.
Sone Bhandar - It is also known as Swarn Bhandar, which is man-made cave, it is believed that it has the hidden treasure behind the wall in the cave.
Brahmakund - This is Laxmi vishnu temple, It has a hot water spring inside.
I went there with the view that i will go and take a bath there but it was too crowded and the kund is relatively small too.

Rajgir Itself requires 4 days Itinerary.
Day 1 - Nalanda, Pawapuri Jal mandir & other Jain Temples
Day 2 - Jungle Safari & Nature Safari
Day 3 - Vishwa shanti stupa ( By Ropeway), Trek to Vulture Peak & Ghora Katora
Day 4- Pandu Pokahr, Venuvan, Rajgir Ganga Jee Jalashay & Other attractions.
You Missed the most memorable & famous part of Rajgir which is mentioned on Day 3, It attracts foreigners specially and vulture peak is the place where Buddha gave their 1st Speech and It is a very calm and peaceful place, hardly any domestic tourists go to this place. Only people from Buddhist countries go here to chant.

Kaimur, Rohtas, Jamui and Munger can become major Ecotourism centers if developed and promoted beautifully. Vikramshila Mahavihara ruins in Bhagalpur is reminder of our glorious past. This is an amazing and educational episode. Absolutely love this. The safari, suspension bridge and glass bridge, that ancient wall, and the guide is knowledgeable and very helpful and nice person. Thank you for sharing the historical information. I love exploring and love people who enjoy exploring. There is so much to learn. Seems like India is full of ancient sites. Absolutely love this. Thank you Mr. Bali 🙏🏼

Bihar has most glories past, ancient and greatest historical sites in India, but Bihar government negligence is equally great. Yet, more tourists visit Bihar annually than Goa. Just nearby you have Nalanda and Odantpuri universities ruins, Buddha's capitals and Jainism capital...many things..you missed many...all there alone and around. Ayodhya Varanasi and Magadh are epicenter of Indian culture. And feast on foods there..nowhere in India you will get so many varieties of vegetables, that too from local farms ditectly snd without hazardous chemicals. Also, must try fish fry of Bihar..there are so many delicacies there. In the way of Nalanda you will get Silaw. Collect Khaja from there. Phenomenal thing to eat.

Akhada of Jharasandh is quite interesting. Tiger safari, suspension bridge and glass bridge are unique. Nice trip. Keep it up.
