    4 half life.,(48-24-12-6-3)after 2.5 year in each half life
    So Time=4*2.5=10years

    48 mgs
    Half life is 2.5 years
    First half life=24 mg
    Second HL=12mg
    3rd HL=6mg
    4th HL=3mg
    So lets assume
    4x2.5=10
    The age of this thing would be 10 years.

    sir hum ae kese pata lagae k initial C14 kitna gram ta? agar scientists final c14 to calculate karke nikalengai lekin wo ae kese pata lahate hain k is fossils ke ander pehla kitna gram ta?

    As we know that half life=2.5 and initial value is 48 so it will become ( 24'12'6'3)than we will multiple 4 with 2.5 and the answer will become 10 years sir

    The age will be ten years .and it passed 4 half lives... so if we multiply 4 into 2.5 .we will get 10.0

    How will we know the initial amount of radioactive carbon in a fossil, because when we get a fossil it will have lost much as radioactive decay, so the question is that what amount was present initially in that organism at the time of death?

    3 half life of 48 according to 2.5 year and that is 48-19.2-8.72-3.072 .so the year is 3*2.5=7.5 year

      Due to strong movement of actin and myosin filaments the show some hardness and thus weight increase......iska ilawa bhi or reason hai but ya common hai

    Salam sir.. I have question about this.. Why we chose just carbon not hydrogen, oxygen or nitrogen for dating of fossils?? Is it because of its longer half life or any thing else?? Kindly reply as soon as possible bcz its my presentation topic and I m so confused in many things

      And also we know that, c14 is decaying with time but c12 is not.. The amount of c12 is still same in dead person or fossil with when it is alive so easily we compare the ratio of c12 and c14.qk c12 ki amount tu same hy still so just ap c14 ko c12 k sath compare kr lo or deakh lo n kitna difference ata hy and that difference is its age by calculating

    the atomic nomber of corbon is less than 82 why at emit radiation

      C12 not emit radiation emwhen it bombarded with neutron it become unstable and C14 so it emit radiation to be stable
