Great idea!! I need to do that on my Tundra. I may do it so the kayaks are above the cab. 😎 Thanks!!
Outstanding job!!!
Great video, thank you
Great idea instead of wasting $300 on the Yakima long arms extender. Thank u sir 😁
Yes works great to this day
Squirrels “perfect “ 👌 was funny
These look great. How did you affix the 2x4’s inside stake pockets?
I like that idea even if I just do like you did over tailgate jack up even 6inches then I can open box at least
Did you secure the woof in the truck holes, or just place it in there?
Do you have an 8 foot box?
How did it work with the turning radius of the camper?
Is this still working for you?? I’m wondering about how it stays secure? Did you bolt it to the truck bed? What keeps it from a strong wind blowing the whole rack up and off?
I think you would want to strap down the wood to the truck as well. Otherwise a strong updraft could cause some issues.
So, how much did it cost to replace the rear window glass after you made that sudden stop?
Doing this for my truck. Do you know what your cut measurement where?
what's your bed size? I guess with a short bed of 5.5 ft, this will not work, the kayaks will stick out too much and hit the trailer. no?
6ft bed and have no problem with the trailer just about a foot and a half from the trailer of clearance.
In today's market just the lumber is close to $80😪
So true
I did a slight mod so they are over the cab.
