Hey Heath, hope you see this. I watched one of your videos in early 2020. I purchased your ethical hacking course that same year and began my journey into ethical hacking. I transitioned from construction my entire adult life and just this past week was offered a job as a security analyst. Made the career change, and landed an amazing job for an amazing company. I owe lots of my knowledge to you and your journey motivated me. Thank you so much!

Almost everyone should be able to afford $30 for a Tcm course. Ppl are just extremely cheap nowadays. Free is nice but quality content deserves recognition. If you can’t afford $30 idk what to tell you. If it’s your passion, You gotta make some sacrifices.
You just helped me more or less map out the next 1-2 years of my life. Thank you. " Comparison is the thief of success". Im going to try to never forget that.
Thank you brother. Found your channel at the beginning of this year when I first started studying for the A+ and your how to be an ethical hacker in 2021 has motivated me since.
Wow, if there's ever a thorough guide into a certain subject with depth and honesty than it's definitely this video. I'm thinking about wanting to go into ethical hacking and your video has made a lot of things clear. Thanks a lot!
How much do you actually work on pentesting for a company and how much is actually attributed to reading up on new exploits or vulnerabilities? Also, do you mostly work remote? I think you said in your practical ethical course that it is typical to get a VPN connection to the client and perform the internal test that way?
I grew up poor too. Mom was on disability because of her MS. I ended up being diagnosed with severe, life-long depression. It's gotten so bad I had to apply for disability, and am on Food Stamps now, and have been to the food bank at my church. Because of the disability I wasn't able to work, and have also had to live in my car.
I needed this video. I've been feeling stuck in my current role and not sure where to go. What to learn, how to proceed. I'd been waiting to watch this video for a while and decided to do it. Now I know how to start and what I need to learn to get into the field. And the closing thoughts "run your own race, not someone else's" really hit home for me. THANK YOU!
Heath, thank you for this. I've been looking for a DIY guide from knowing the minimal amount to breaking into Cyber. At 48, it's all a bit overwhelming. This helps tremendously. Thank you!!

This is one of the best videos on this topic that I've watched. Everything from technical to soft skills is so well explained, and your words near the end about it being a race with ourselves not others are very profound and philosophical. I'm going to check out your courses, just by watching this video I know they must be really good. Thank you for all the tips!
Hey brother love the Channel first timer here I subbed I’ll check out the course you teach. Live your background story I had nothing as well we lived in multiple abandoned houses and didn’t know where my next meal was coming from growing up as well. Thanks for the content.

There are thousands of jobs here in the UK looking for people with CEH cert but only 800 looking for OSCP. In your honest opinion being in England, Is OSCP really worth the extra money? Thanks

Thank you Heath. The video really explains a path to get into this field. I have been working in desktop support for 18 years now. I get the complacency part of your talk. I have gone back this year to re-certify A+ and Network+. This video gives me a plan for 2022.
This is a great video that explains alot more than what it states in the caption. Stay and listen to the very end and you will get at least one thing out it regardless of the field you get into. A+

My biggest issue is if one has no background and no certs how does one convey that they do have this knowledge to work in the field. Especially when so many companies ask for 10-15+ yrs experience with a bachelors or masters for some of these job rolls
thank you very much for these exhaustive talk type videos. it's becoming a legend to make a video more than 20 mins on youtube and other content platforms now.

Absolutely amazing video as always. I greatly appreciate your dedication to affordable cyber security training. I have one question: how do you remember everything that you have learned? What specific techniques do you recommend for learning cyber security effectively and quickly?
My best advice is to change your mentality. You can’t possibly learn to be an effective security practitioner “quickly”. This takes time. I just finished my degree in cyber security, earned my sec plus this past summer and have been on tryhackme and I still feel like I don’t know much. This takes time and practice and drive to want to learn everyday. Now as being effective, learn the basics first. Hammer them into your head because most of the time your headaches come from the simplest mistakes. Once you master the basics, move on to more complex topics. Certs are a good way to track some of that progress. But do not be mistaken that you will get there in 6 months or even a year.
@Jay Anyone who says they mastered something in a small amount of time is in my personal opinion either a genius or full of shit. That being said, dont be discouraged. This isnt an easy field to come into and master in a year or two. Get the basics down and practice practice practice. In due time you may be teaching other beginners ( and teaching is a good way to demonstrate and fortify your own knowledge). Keep at it !
Just want to say thank you for the amazing content and educational material that you always deliver. You really deserve more subscribers! Thank you Mr. Heath Adams for making this inspirational video. This really helps many people to get the right education in the right direction. Thanks alot.
There’s really no accurate answer to this question. It all boils down to the time and energy you put into learning the information and applying into something practical. Also ties is your ability to pick up the concepts and your willingness to learn. Some may say 1-2 years, others may take longer and that’s ok. Like TCM said, focus on improving every day and don’t worry so much about how long it will take you to get there.
