This can't be the end! Motor Ed has not bonked his final bonk, the flames remain unbonked, frozen solid in the icy north... Motor Ed, come back to us. We miss you.
Hopefully Motor Ed will make a return someday. Definitely not until Julia finishes Bloodborne and probably not until Jacob finishes the Elden Ring DLC. But until the day Motor Ed emerges victorious, I shall pray for him. Also, unless Jacob played through it outside of a stream, he has never finished DS3.
You know, this is probably the most relatable episode of SSS I've yet seen. I've had days like that, where I get all hype to play a game, but shit just doesn't click and I end up frustrated and sad and just give up.
I had this stream on in the background while working on my graduate thesis and everything with my project was going wrong. Eventually I had to give up (because it was 4am) right around when Jacob decided to play marbles and I guess the point is that I feel a little less alone in my frustration. Thank you Jacob, and thank you Khaz for all the work you do on this channel! These streams are helping me get through my thesis, a few hours at a time. I hope to see Motor Ed return one day!
The way the Greatwolf is animated looks so silly when it does the attacks that leave the snow twisters behind. It looks like if you pick up a wolf corpse in Skyrim and swing it around the place holding rightclick.
I love the friede fight so much in DS3. But I run it like a sane person, with jolly coop with at least Gael and backstabs xD Fast weapons are your friend!!! The moment he's not looking when 3rd phase starts is just *chefs kiss*
Every time he said "daddy whacking" all I could think of was "party rocking," and considering how it kept putting him in difficult situations, I was disappointed he never said "sorry for daddy whacking," but idk if he has it in him to apologize for bonking lol
To help explain Jacob's point, bullshit enemies sniping at you without consequence adds "challenge" the way having a swarm of wasps in the room with you while you play would add "challenge". Yes, the game is technically more difficult, but it adds nothing positive to the experience.
as the seattle liveshow visitor who asked if jacob was returning to dark souls 3....... rest assured that i finally found the rest of the playthrough that was uploaded... 😅 i guess i had stopped watching the uploads once granny smith happened and forgot the rest of the playlist existed. would love to see granny smith and motor ed return in a dark souls 2 when elden ring wraps up eventually. godspeed
Sad face. This was exactly my progression through ds3 being that cruzed through till the dlc then I saw sister Friday had a third phase then went and got wolf smacked 10 times and noped the game onto the shelf for a full year. I wonder if Jacob knows he still is roughly only half way through the bosses and in my opinion Gael is the nastiest boss from all from soft and for me would be truly and utterly impossible to kill with bonks only. I was lvl 76 when I got to Gael and to beat him I had to cheat by grinding to lvl 120 so I could fast roll in gundy's undies with a dex magic buff/bleed build with 75 dex with rings and it still took 4 or 5 days to get him. If he does ever bring back the bonks I'd say he'd need to fugs to get the rest of the big boys that is to say if he plans on at least getting 1 boy per stream
Literally said to myself at the end of the first attempt with Father Ariandel and Friede that he's getting too cocky. What do you know, he got greedy... The want of bonks is too powerful for one man.
To me people, as a person who loves using magic and ranged weapons in Souls games, people complaining about things shooting at you in Dark Souls because they don't want to use ranged combat kinda feels like "Waaah, it shouldn't be this hard to play through the entire game while stubbornly refusing to engage with most of the game mechanics!" Like, I finally find an area where I think "Oh sweet, I can actually use my +10 composite bow in a tactical manner in this area!!" and then everyone else is like "This area sucks, there shouldn't be areas where it benefits you to use ranged combat options!"
That just sounds like you stubbornly chose the worse option (the bow) thus making the game harder for yourself and now you're too salty to admit you chose wrong and are kaing it out on others.
@@sz-nurek 1) Why are you replying to a 2 year old comment? 2) It's not like the bow is my only weapon; I have plenty of melee and magic options as well. I just appreciate it when the relatively niche bow combat really gets to shine. Who the hell only uses bows? 3) I didn't actually complain about anything except for the fact that _other people complain_ about areas with ranged enemies because _they're_ too stubborn to equip a damn bow. There are literally strength based bows in this game which seem to be specifically for all the strength builds to have a ranged option for areas with lots of ranged enemies. But people refuse to engage with an entire type of combat then complain that it makes the game frustrating. Yeah, most complex and engaging games are going to feel frustrating if you on principle refuse to adapt your tactics to different situations. I'm not saying it's necessarily bad to min-max for a strength build, just that if you do so you have a responsibility to acknowledge that you're willingly handicapping yourself in certain areas of the game in exchange for your ability to dominate most boss fights and PVP situations. Same thing goes for people who exclusively two-hand and refuse to use a shield. Like yeah, that's gonna make some fights more difficult and frustrating. Case in point, if you allow your build to be flexible you can use a >70% lightning absorption shield and Great Soul Dregs to make Nameless King, widely regarded as one of the most difficult bosses in Dark Souls III, into a complete joke. Like 70 combined points in FAI/INT lets you kill him in less than 10 casts in NG+1. My point is that different tactics and weapon choices work better for different areas of the game, and refusing to acknowledge or engage with that fact, whatever your reason for doing so, will inevitably make the game more difficult and in some cases frustrating. So it annoys me when people complain about how frustrating an area best suited to ranged combat is for their melee exclusive build. It's like complaining that applesauce is hard to eat with a fork. Of course it is; the tool you've chosen is not well suited to the task you're trying to perform.
@@Trevor21230 1) I'm terribly sorry Sir. In mine own foolishness I didn't realise there were rules on youtube on how old comments you could and couldn't reply to. 2) I'm not reading all that. I'm happy for you tho, or sorry that it happened.
That scene when friede gets up again right as Jacob isn’t looking at the screen was both terrifying and hilarious

“He’s just a guy with some wolves!”
20 minutes later
“I can’t play any more Dark Souls. I can’t play any more Dark Souls.”
TFW Jacob keeps saying he was one hit off winning, but you know there's another form.
Oh Jacob,you poor fool.
I've been binging these vods over the last few days, and just. the amount of times I had to hear the word "bonk" during that time lmao
Hopefully Motor Ed will make a return someday. Definitely not until Julia finishes Bloodborne and probably not until Jacob finishes the Elden Ring DLC. But until the day Motor Ed emerges victorious, I shall pray for him.

"I'm gonna go back to work." *scoots two feet to the right*
the Julia hand cameos are some of the best physical comedy released this year, change my mind
Was expecting a bad time when dearest Jacob started celebrating the death of the sad Dad.
"my greed for daddy whacking! It will be my undoing!" -Jacob Andrews 2020
Started watching through the backlogs, never realized he never bonks all the way through. I feel empty lmao
37:50 Hubris.
Will there be more Bonk Souls 3? I miss Motor Ed.

The world needs the return of Motor Ed.
And he never went back to Motor Ed again
Jacob I miss this bonk series! Any chance for more bonks?
Jacob has over 200000 in souls just sitting in his inventory collecting dust

Drawfee Variety Hour was so excellent and I really hope a new Indie Drawfee Variety Hour is possible once this plague is over
"3 wolf guy" don't you mean "Three Dog Knight"?
Those dogs can knight
The actual Julia's dark souls Elsa.
Daddy I missed you! I needed your sage bonking advice in these trying times! I’m so glad to see my bonkfather!
I hope Jacob comes back to this and finally finishes the game. The Friede fight is a tad easier with all 15 estus and +10 undead bone shards.
I cant believe jacob went into second hardest boss in the game at level 67, with 11 estus
On top of that, he hasn’t played in two weeks
When is the next bonk souls stream??? I need some more Motor Ed!!!
Watching this at 9am Jacob is reminding me to get some coffee

6:25 Game start
Its crazy to me to how different people are with bosses. Like for me the dog boss took 2 tries. But crystal sage took my over 30 attempts....
Knick knack daddy whack leave scythmantha home, motor ed will win the throne
We need Motor Ed to return and claim his rightful place as KING OF THE BONKS!

Did you fight Midir on that game? I'd be interested, because, at least when Ringed City came out, Midir was considered the hardest boss in the game.
someone needed to shout out, "It's because Pontiff Sulyvahn is from the Painted World!!!" haha
Aw heck yeah! This is so exciting! Perfect for Halloween indeed! Thank you USSS~!
I forgot I caught the end of this live and hearing my name in marbles almost gave me a heart attack
so like...did jacob ever finish ds3 or no
Soo, will he be playing the ringed city or not?👀
Hurray Bonks in the dark for Halloween!!! Thank you! 😁❤
When will Motor Ed return? He still has bonkin to do!
