@@Beer_Wolf You’d better give her those damn buckets! I’m still on my first play through and I’m doing a level 20 run, got one last beacon to cleanse then whatever is after that.
I rarely comment on videos but I have been following you for some time and I just wanted to say I appreciate the effort you put in to provide in-depth analysis. This is helpful as my son is hellbent on maxing all stats to 100 whilst I have stopped trying anything since I put all of the stats on 75. We can now be more strategic on which ones we will be leveling and up till what limit.
Your actual first break point for endurance seems to be 20/21. It starts by adding 17.5 (average) to stamina, and at 21 it adds only 12. that is a decrease of 5.5. The next break point lowers how much is added by another 5, down to 7. So, the difference in added stamina between 20 and 21 is more of a decrease than the decrease in added stamina from 40 to 41
Thank you for helping me understand the scaling system in leveling a character. Could you make a video on how to level a character and for what purposes you are spending your points in those attributes? Sort of like a template to help understand why it is important to put points in those areas and how to maximize the benefits of a particular build. I appreciate the time and effort you place in educating us in the science of soul-ology
Hey ,this is the first video i see from you about this game?? Strange i follow you for a long time now ,greetings Holland ,in a few weeks back to Afrika 😊
I'll start by saying I haven't heard this on starting classes from souls games. But I ran the numbers, and if you start as the condemned class you have 1 more stat point than all the other classes. If the condemned 54 points is standard. I added all numbers and found varying starting stat totals. And the starting level of each of those was exceeded by 1. Which, included with the fact that starting at level 1 provides the cheapest first few levels for any build is the sole reason to build on this class. I feel like I remember running these same numbers on ds 2 and ds 3 and I remember seeing similar results. The condemned style class seems to get additional stat points because you start at level 1 with nothing. Anyone else notice this?
That's the kind of content I love from you man! I know you hate me since I made you jump to your death during a remnant 2 Livestream 😂 but you're my favourite content creator since outriders.
So if I want to play a nearly pure Radiance Dark Crusader build with heavy armor and great shield, I'd probably want to increase str to the requirement the shield needs, then endurance and vitality evenly to increase equip load capacity, and dump the rest into radiance?
Thanks! Have an interesting question:) If we using not spells but weapons, what weapon will have better damage Strength or Radiance with the same points? Strength stops growth early, does it mean damage goes faster? Or if progression almost the same does it mean that Radiance have better damage in the end?
My question is, in order to level up your resistances, do you have to spend two points AT THE SAME TIME? Because it doesn't seem like spending them one at a time actually increases your resistances
What do the numbers for strength and agility mean i dont get it. what does it mean when the number for strength and agility goes from 1 to 2 to 3 and so on
Soft cap = The point of which you get diminishing returns for every point thereafter Hard cap = The definition for HARD cap can actually change depending on the specific game you're playing..... The SAFE way to define hard cap is that it's a point where you're wasting stats since the return is so low that you'll see little to no gain. Cap = This usually means the number of which is no longer usable where the game won't even allow you to put points into without using an outside source to do so like using programs like trainers or cheat codes. This cap system goes all the way back to the very early days of tabletop gaming and even some very old card games from the mid 1700s. It's a safe assumption that when building for strictly PvE then once you hit a soft cap it's usually best to spend the stat point elsewhere unless you're at a point where resources are very high. This cap system starts to become a very fun system when looking at it from a "min-max" concept where you're trying to squeeze every beneficial point down to a fraction for the most efficient build possible, taking advantage of soft caps that take advantage of better scaling weapons and gear..... I could go on and on but the dude in the video covers all the bases for the most part!
I’m going to get my character to around 200-250. I’m not restricting myself to Souls meta (Level 125). The community needs to evolve and realize every game is not the same
In a livestream with the devs, Steelovsky asked if there was a level cap for invasions and the answer was basically no. Also PvP damage is calculated differently from PvE. I don't have exact numbers but I know the devs said that on the high end of hits to kill a player is about 20 hits. And that's probably with like a single dagger. No dual wield.
So how does increasing Mana Pool and Ammo Capacity work, and where does its Breakpoints lie? Edit: Okay, so I understand that Mana Pool just keeps increasing. But do I have to put points into both Radiance and Inferno to increase it effectively, or can I solely level one or the other?
@@Angelzvx Pretty sure Ammo replaces your mana if you have an ammo or throwing item equipped instead of a catalyst. So I'd imagine it's scaling ammo capacity the same as it scales mana. But that's just a guess, I haven't tested that at all.
@@TheFullMeasureGaming Ah, that’s what had me confused. As I read up it was supposed to be similar to Umbral as a combination of Vitality and Endurance. But I wasn’t sure if it was actually doing anything.
Quick question, im currently level 53 and most of my stats are into endurance, vitality, radiance and inferno, I have a lot in both Radiance and Inferno as i'm trying both Pietas sword and the Bloodlust sword, is it bad if I do end up going end game with these weapons and split most of my points into Radiance + Inferno?
So there are actually 3 magic types in the game, Radiance, Inferno and Umbral which utilizes points in Radiance and Inferno to work, so you might be set up for that already :) That being said, remember you can respec
It will probably work but both of your weapons will only get use of half of your stats. It is like using a strength, agility build while dualwielding a strength and an agility weapon instead of two dualscaling weapons. Sure switching elements is good against resistances and these weapons might be very good but you are probably gonna get more bang for your buck with inferno radiance dualscaling weapons.
@@simonwahlen7150 I don’t believe there are any short swords with dual scaling for inferno and radiance. But alas I have managed to buy another Pietas sword, 2 of them is doing awesome

Have we found what the PvP meta lvl is? It does it matter? I’ve invaded and straight 2 shot people but others took some eork

did u calculate that vitality also gives weight
Yup, you can see it in column P
Is STR strictly better than AGI, Since it also gives more physical defence?
Pretty much... wish Soul-like games did more with the stat, like increased dodge distance (increased s), crit and attack speed.
I m on 100 all of them
I’m not sure at what lvl I should stop to continue invading or coop. I played dark soul games and there’s always a lvl cap for online

There's no real matchmaking for pvp from what I seen
I am super confused. Can you level up a stat over 99 in this game?
Yup, but only thing that is affected past a hundred is defensive stats, resistances and mana pool.
Can anyone inform me at what point putting points in is literally doing nothing? I’m lvl 825 NG+2
Take a break man...sheesh
After 75 you barely get anything for each category. 99 is obviously the hard cap

Leveling one of those to 99 will net you just over 600 mana, two will get you to 1200. That being said, 600 mana is PLENTY
